By Mike Johnson on 2016-02-13 11:39:00

Former WWE and TNA champion Kurt Angle will be inducted by Arnold Schwarzenneger into the 2016 International Sports Hall of Fame, which will take place in March in Columbus, Ohio at the Arnold Sports Festival.

The 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist, who departed TNA last month is already returning to the ring on 3/20 in Phoenix, Arizona, facing former WWE rival Rey Mysterio Jr. for the first time in over a decade as part of an iPPV being promoted by UR Fight.  Their match will be the long professional wrestling match on the broadcast, which will also feature former WWE and UFC stars Ken Shamrock vs. Dan Severn in a MMA fight, Michael Bisping vs. Chael Sonnen in a grappling match and boxing great Roy Jones Jr. boxing a fan.  Yes, a fan.  The show will be broadcast live at URshow.tv

As previously noted on PWInsider.com, Angle is said to want to focus on acting going forward but TNA has offered him a new non-wrestling contract that would see him working as the face of the promotion while helping younger stars.  There is no word whether Angle has agreed to that deal.
