NXT BECOMING AN EQUAL TO WWE, HOW TO USE SETH ROLLINS, WILL WWE COUNTER PROGRAM CM PUNK’S FIGHT AND MORE

Given the lack of many true top stars in WWE right now, does it make sense to have a hot commodity like Seth Rollins off television while he deals with an injury?  I notice they have Wade Barrett working in some capacity while he's injured.  Wouldn't it be smarter to have someone like Seth take a non-physical role like an interviewer or manager while he heals up?

First, you have to remember that Rollins has a serious knee injury. It’s the kind of thing where if he were forced to make a quick move, he could re-injure it. For that reason alone, I wouldn’t have him at ringside. Beyond that, I don’t like him in an interviewer role as I think it takes away from his role at the top of the card. I like keeping him out of sight because when he returns, it makes a big splash!

What are the odds WWE intentionally runs a show opposite CM Punk's UFC debut in spite of it?

That is an interesting question. I would hope they wouldn’t, because it would come off really petty if they did.

Has Paul Heyman ever made convention appearances?

Back in the ECW days, he appeared at the Cyberslam fan conventions and addressed the attendees. I can’t remember a convention he has done since then. I could be missing something but I don’t recall it. He’s not big on them.

Because of his drive for success, why do you think Vince allows the last weeks of the year/pre-Rumble period to be such a slow time for the company?  He is the one who once ran the Survivor Series on Thanksgiving Day, so why not conjure up something big on Christmas night or on New Year's Day to spark momentum toward the Rumble?

I wish I had an answer. I think the main problem is that Vince has got locked into the routine and innovation to the product has suffered because of it. I would love to see the product evolve but he just doesn’t have any interest in doing that right now.

So with the recent lack of development of NXT stars going to the "main" Roster. Do you ever see a time where NXT is as big as say RAW. To the point that talents don't need to go the main roster. Also I wanted to ask whether or not WWE has ever discussed having an off period say after Wrestlemania to the beginning of July. Purely so 1 they can start planning the next years events, but also give a talent a much deserved vacation. Hell during that vacation period. You could have the NXT brand fill in on RAW and Smackdown.

First, they can’t take off as they have television deals in place that they have to fulfill. Those deals are for WWE product, not NXT product. Plus, they don’t have the depth on the NXT roster to do those shows anyway. NXT can continue to grow and become a legitimate alternative for a guy in the middle of the card, or maybe higher, in that if they continue to tour nationally and generate revenue, the top NXT guys could potentially be paid very well. But as long as WWE brings in the huge money for TV rights, NXT will never be its equal.
