Dempsey, 28, is originally from Brooklyn, NY and broke in on the Northeast independent scene while being mentored by former ECW World champion Taz. He was pushed as a heel monster early but would later be turned babyface with the "Bull-Fit" gimmick, which did get over, but the company stopped utilizing him as a featured player. Since the NXT Takeover show in Brooklyn, he had not utilized in a major storyline. He had been promoting events in the NYC and NJ area before being signed so it's possible he could go back to promoting shows if that's what he's interested in doing. He was always an underutilized performer in my opinion.
