NAKAMURA UPDATE, GUNN TALKS WWE RELEASE, AUSTIN ON TODAY & MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2016-02-03 17:52:17

Shinsuke Nakamura is in Pittsburgh today. You know what that means.

WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin appeared on NBC's Today Show to promote his "Broken Skull Ranch Challenge" match. You can watch the video of the appearance at this link. Thanks to Kevin.

Billy Gunn, who was released as a NXT Coach last year, discussed that situation for the first time publicly with Sports Illustrated at this link. On being released after testing positive for performance enhancing drugs during a power-lifting competition, he said that he understood that WWE had to let him go and he was "perfectly fine with it", hoping they would bring him back down the line. He said he felt he let the NXT talents down and that, "I have my [prescription] from the doctor, but it was the way it all came out is what they had to do." Gunn talks about a lot of career in the piece as well.

On the Taz Show this week, the former WWE and ECW star chimed in on WWE focusing on AJ Styles' lack of size on Raw:

Several readers sent word that the Hulu version of Raw two weeks ago where The Rock went to ringside to see the fans dressed in costume has been removed from Raw. My guess is it's the fact that one of them was dressed as Hulk Hogan was the issue.

Our friends at www.ringsidecollectibles.com sent along the following interview Noelle Foley conducted with WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash, discussing the exclusive Nash action figure Ringside is about to release:

Speaking of Ringside, they have the first-ever Renee Young and Kalisto action figures now in stock.

The following press release was issued today for an Indianapolis event featuring Lex Luger and Nikita Koloff:
