Your reaction to Austin Aries appearing at the NXT Taping tonight?

I think it makes sense for both sides. Aries was done with TNA. ROH didn't seem like a viable option, so that left NXT. With NXT becoming a touring brand and running bigger buildings, I think Aries can be an important player for them. It's a win win situation.

I know that Vince McMahon thinks that having the WWE title up for grabs in the Royal Rumble match will possibly give a boost in viewers and network subscriptions, and I know that the winner of the Rumble hasn't always been given the title match at Wrestlemania, but it is a traditional that has been established for years. Does having the title on the line possibly diminish the importance and spectacle of future Rumble matches?

Frankly, I like it. As we saw last year, winning the Rumble is only step one in getting the Title match. I like to see things evolve over time.

I'm extremely excited that WWE is finally going to add a phenomenal talent to their roster in AJ Styles. I almost wish that he was going to the NXT roster though. I find it very hard to have any sort of confidence that he will be treated like the star he should be by the current main roster creative team. What do you think will be the future for AJ? Do you see him being a main event guy, or do you think the incompetence of creative will make him sadly just another mid card guy?

I am typing this on Sunday, before the Rumble. All I can say is I would give him every chance at the top of the card. The company is largely devoid of top talent so I would put AJ in a position to see if he can get over there. I know he is small, and Vince hates that, but if the company brings in Gallows and Anderson to "back him up", that could be enough to make Vince look past AJ's height.

Can't tell you you how excited I was to see Sister Abagail done on Brock. Could it be built up to actually happen snd mean something?

The word going around is that it will lead to Brock vs. Braun Strowman at Mania. That will be a bit of a challenge for Brock given how green Strowman is.

In retrospect, should WWE have given Ken Shamrock a Lesnar-esque push? Sure, he wasn't a good promo but either is Brock. And at the time, Shamrock was a former UFC Heavyweight Champion...just like Lesnar.

I don't think so. Shamrock and Lesnar are very different workers. They could have maybe pushed Shamrock a little harder, but Brock is a once in a lifetime talent and his work has helped create his aura.
