We are live from Nashville, Tennessee and your announcers are Michael ‘Volunteer’ Cole and Jerry ‘Fang Fingers’ Lawler.

Match Number One: Vladimir Kozlov and Santino Marella with Tamina versus . . .

Nexus comes to the ring and they attack Marella and Kozlov while CM Punk watches them brutalize the champions. Kozlov is thrown out of the ring and so is Marella.

Punk apologizes and says that the tag title match has been rescheduled for a later date. Since Nexus first made its impact on Monday Night Raw, they have been the most dominant force the WWE has ever seen. As scary as it sounds, they are even stronger. Punk tells Nexus that they have the ability and chance to shine brighter than any superstar in history. He can give them the tools to succeed and the path to follow, unlike their previous leader. Two weeks ago, he single handedly put John Cena out of the equation.

Punk reminds everyone that everyone’s hero in his broken down glory will appear tonight. John Cena will hopefully deliver a tear jerking encore farewell speech tonight because his days of hustle, loyalty, and respect are over. Punk says that his are just beginning.

The coup de grace, in an act of selfless leadership, he will make the ultimate sacrifice when he initiates himself the new leader of the new Nexus. Punk says that he is getting ahead of himself. It won’t be the only initiation tonight. The members of the group must prove to themselves, the group, and the worthless people in the crowd that they belong to the new Nexus. If they pass, then the Nexus will be at its apex of power. They will not only rule Raw, but the entire WWE.

David Otunga gets a mic and he says that he would be honored to be initiated into the New Nexus tonight.

Punk tells David that the honor is all his. He wants to start off by bringing up Michael McGillicutty. Punk says that everyone knows that Nexus is famous for their group beat downs. They have beaten down Hall of Famers and the Chairman of the Board. Punk also mentions that they have beaten down John Cena too. Punk tells Michael that he needs to be one the receiving end of one of the Nexus beat downs. Punk tells Husky to take the first shot but Otunga jumps the gun and gives Michael the World’s Most Dangerous Spinebuster followed by Sweetness from Slater. Husky stands over Michael and hits the back senton. They pull him into the corner for the 450 splash. They are not done because they put Michael on Punk’s shoulders for the Go To Sleep.

The members of Nexus carry Michael to the back as they follow CM Punk.

We go to commercial.

We are back and the Royal Rumble sub-site is up and you can check it out.

Match Number One (let’s try this again): R Truth versus Alberto Del Rio with Ricardo Rodriguez

Del Rio avoids a charge by Truth but Truth with punches and a clothesline into the corner. Truth climbs the turnbuckles and punches Del Rio but Del Rio with a reverse atomic drop and Irish whip followed by a lungblower for a near fall. Del Rio punches Truth but Truth with a head scissors and clothesline. Truth with another clothesline that sends both of them over the top rope to the floor. They fight on the floor and Rodriguez distracts Truth long enough to take a punch and enable Del Rio to get in the ring before the ten count. Truth cannot beat the count.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio by count out

After the match, Alberto gets on the mic and he says that is another victory for him, but everyone already knows that. Alberto says that it is his destiny to win the Royal Rumble and headline Wrestlemania.

Tonight, Alberto mentions that we are in Nashville, and he calls it ‘The Music City’. He calls everyone silly Americanos because they know nothing about music or culture. You only know about your Justin Biebers, American Idol, hip hop, and the boring country music. Alberto says that in Mexico, they know about music. They know about culture. He wants to show everyone real music, the mariachis. He tells Ricardo to sing for him. Ricardo sings, but he sounds like a male Jillian Hall.

We go to commercial.

We are back with the WWE Rewind: Michael Cole reading an e-mail from the General Manager which is only the subterfuge for Miz’s attack on Jerry Lawler two weeks ago.

Jerry Lawler says that he is not fully recovered by the attack from Miz and Cole says that Randy Orton won’t be able to beat Miz at Royal Rumble. Lawler calls Miz a megalomaniac and Cole wants Lawler to apologize. The bickering stops due to the clinky clinky noise. Cole quotes that Michael Cole has been on the receiving end of criticism but he supports Cole in every conceivable way. Even if he is a conceited, pompous, arrogant, self centered, pretentious jerk. He says that he is just kidding. Michael Cole is doing a phenomenal job and is the epitome of manhood. He wishes that there were more people who had the guts to stand up to popular opinion. He is a journalist, a two time Slammy Award winner. He is highly intelligent, witty, and handsome. The highest honor is to be called a Cole Miner.

Jerry Lawler interrupts and he says that he received a message from the WWE Universe . . . and he quotes. Will you please shut up. Nobody would think, say, or type that Cole is handsome. Cole is a coward. Lawler approaches Cole and Cole says that Lawler can’t touch him or he will be fired. Lawler closes the computer.

We get another e-mail and Cole quotes. Michael Cole is not a coward and neither is Jerry Lawler. Even if his body isn’t fully healed, he knows that Lawler wants revenge. Miz and Alex Riley will face Jerry Lawler and Randy Orton.

We go to the Nexus Locker Room and he says that McGillicutty is in Nexus and he passed with flying colors. Punk tells Husky that he is next. He will take three lashes from everyone in the room. Otunga takes the strap and Harris accepts. Punk tells Husky to take the shirt off. It is time for the strapping to start. Punk unloads with more than three lashes on Harris as we go to commercial.

We are back and Did You Know that they are using the same Did You Know about Wrestlemania and WWE Magazine.

Match Number Two: Mark Henry and Daniel Bryan with the Bellas versus Tyson Kidd and Ted DiBiase with Maryse

Ted and Daniel start things off and Bryan with a drop kick to Ted and then he kicks Ted in the corner until the referee warns him. Ted with a near fall when they return to the ring. Kidd tags in and he kicks Bryan until the referee stops him. Ted chokes Bryan until he gets tagged back in. Henry and Kidd tag in and Henry with a shoulder tackle and head butt. Kidd avoids a charge into the corner. Ted and Tyson try for a double drop kick but Henry stays on his feet. Henry with clotheslines followed by the World’s Strongest Slam on Kidd for the three count.

Winners: Mark Henry and Daniel Bryan

Big Show is in the back talking to a production assistant. He starts walking as we go to commercial.

We are back with the Slam of the Week: The elimination of Jacob Novak last week on NXT and Dolph Ziggler’s comments when he traded Novak away earlier in the show.

Michael Cole talks about NXT and where you can watch it. This time he doesn’t rip the product.

Big Show comes to the ring. He thanks everyone and is glad to be back on Raw. He thanks the General Manager for time to discuss some issues. He mentions Wade Barrett. He says that he finds it funny that he got knocked out of Nexus last week but this Friday Wade will be knocked out on Smackdown. Show says that he wants every Superstar to know that they are on notice because Big Show is coming to the Royal Rumble and he is going to win the match.

Nexus’ music plays and they come out onto the stage. Punk is joined by the three men who have not been initiated yet. Punk looks at Otunga and David walks to the ring. Otunga looks back at Punk and then he realizes what he has to do.

Otunga comes into the ring and he slaps Big Show. Otunga does not run away but he waits for the response from Show. Show with a kick and then he throws Otunga out of the ring. Show sends Otunga over the announce table and then he chops Otunga on top of the announce table. Show yells at Otunga while he slams the man who met the President . . . twice on the floor. We see Punk, Slater, and Gabriel watching from the stage while Show sends Otunga into the ring steps.

They return to the ring and Show with a choke slam to Otunga. Show picks Otunga up and then connects with a right hand. Show’s music plays so that must mean the beat down is over. The three men on the stage do the Nexus power salute.

We go to commercial.

Morrison with a kick to take Sheamus down and then he goes to the corner for the corkscrew split legged moonsault but Sheamus pushes Morrison over the top rope to the floor.

We go to commercial.

Sheamus with a standing power slam on Morrison and then he pulls Morrison to the apron and he connects with an elbow to the back of the head and the chest. Sheamus gets a near fall. Morrison tries for the spring board round kick but Sheamus moves. Sheamus charges at Morrison but Morrison drops down and Sheamus goes to the floor. They return to the ring and Sheamus sets for the pump kick but Morrison falls to the mat. Sheamus with a kick to the back and then he puts Morrison on the turnbuckles. Sheamus with a punch and then Morrison drops Sheamus on the turnbuckle as he goes to the floor. Morrison with a Shining Wizard for the three count.

Winner: John Morrison

Michael Cole talks about what CM Punk has done to the members of Nexus. Lawler talks about saying no to any organization that would do something like Nexus did tonight.

We go to the next initiation and Punk has kendo sticks as he talks about how Otunga has joined Husky and Michael. Punk says that he won’t beat them with kendo sticks. They are going to beat each other with kendo sticks until Punk tells them to stop. They hesitate and Punk tells them to swing for the fences because if they don’t do it they are out of the group.

Slater and Gabriel think about it and Punk wonders if they will try to hit him. Punk tells them to hit him. Slater and Gabriel drop the kendo sticks so it looks like they are no longer in Nexus.

We will find out who the first inductee into the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame . . . when we come back from commercial.

We are back and Jerry Lawler is in the ring. He says that the greatest accomplishment in his career was getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. So many people dream of competing in the ring and of those who do, less than 100 have been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Hall of Famers share qualities like skill, drive, determination, and charisma. They also share the respect of all of the people in the WWE Universe. The first inductee has earned the respect of everyone. He deserves more than anyone to be a first ballot nominee.

Shawn Michaels.

Shawn Michaels’ music plays and he comes out to the ring and he addresses the WWE Universe, but before he can speak, he is interrupted by Alberto Del Rio. He reminds us who he is (because he has already been on the show). Alberto points out that Shawn is the Heartbreak Kid and a legend. He is the icon, the Showstopper. Alberto says that the people used to cheer Shawn, but now the people cheer him. They know that Alberto is the present and the future of the WWE. Shawn is just history. Alberto tells Shawn that after he wins the Royal Rumble, he will win the World Title . . . or the WWE Title. Then he will be known as the New Mr. Wrestlemania. Alberto starts to laugh but the smile is wiped off his face with some Sweet Chin Music.

Shawn cleans off his boot and then he struts around the ring. Shawn waves goodbye and applauds the fans before taking Alberto’s scarf and leaves the ring.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Miz is in the back and Alex Riley says that opportunity kicked in the door tonight because they get to face Jerry Lawler and Randy Orton at the same time. Miz says that in two weeks, he assaulted a Hall of Famer and defeated John Morrison in a match that should be talked about for years. But all people talk about is Randy Orton getting the number one contender spot. People should be talking about him, not Randy Orton. People are saying that Randy Orton will win the WWE Title at the Royal Rumble. Miz says that nobody is giving him respect that he deserves. He wants to demoralize and embarrass Lawler and Orton tonight. He wants to show that he will be WWE Champion for a long time. Riley interrupts and starts to use the Miz’s catchphrase but Miz cuts him off and says that catchphrases are for closers and he will say it when he wins tonight.

Josh Mathews has taken Jerry Lawler’s place at the announce table.

Michael Cole is in the ring and he says that we are about to hear from John Cena. Cole is interrupted by CM Punk and he says that he is on top of the TitanTron. He says that we are done talking about John Cena because this is the CM Punk Show. He wants to talk about the New Nexus. Tonight has shown that Michael McGillicutty, Husky Harris, and David Otunga have proven themselves strong enough to be in the New Nexus through their initiations. Punk says that he is ready to do the same. Punk says that he will take the ultimate sacrifice and through his sacrifice, it will prove that not only was he a member of Nexus, he was their leader. Punk asks if he should dive and break every bone in his body? The fans want him to do it. Should he rupture every muscle?

Punk has one more question. He wants to know how gullible the people are. He says that he is wearing a harness and he has two guys spotting him. He says that he is safer than anyone in the seats. He asks who would jump off the tron. Punk says that everyone in Nashville are the biggest mindless group of sheep he has ever seen in his life.

The beaten and battered members of Nexus come out.

CM Punk has lowered himself from the TitanTron and has joined his followers in the ring.

Punk says that if anyone believed that he would jump off the Tron, they are stupid. Punk shows the harness. Punk says that anyone who would do something like that is mentally challenged. Punk says that he is mentally superior. Punk says that there never was a thought in his mind to jump off the Tron. Punk says that he doesn’t need initiations. He is the new leader of Nexus.

Punk says that Cena is not here.

Cena says that he is here. He says that we saw the act of a delusional phony. He says that Punk is insincere and then insults him some more. Cena says that Punk is also wasting everyone’s time. Cena asks why would Punk put them through a physical initiation since he already did that. Cena says that there is one member that he has not initiated. Cena says that it is Punk.

Punk says that he is not afraid of Cena and he will not be intimidated in his ring on his show.

Cena wants Punk to prove it in a match next week on Raw.

Punk accepts the challenge and Cena says that he was hoping that Punk would. Cena says that everything that Punk said about him are right. If he is provoked, he will be the most animalistic person on the planet. Cena says that Punk will be dealt with next week. It ain’t about t-shirts or arm bands, it is about Cena whooping Punk’s ass.

We go to commercial

Match Number Four: Miz and Alex Riley versus Randy Orton and Jerry Lawler

Riley and Lawler start things off and Riley wants Lawler to get in a punch. Lawler goes after Miz on the apron and Riley attacks Lawler from behind and he tags in Miz. Miz with a kick to the midsection and then he punches Lawler in the head. Lawler with a roundhouse punch and then he connects with more punches. They go to the floor and Lawler sends Miz into the announce table while Miz’s cheerleader tries to encourage him. Lawler sends Miz into the apron and ring steps. Miz with a thumb to the eyes and he tags in Riley but Lawler with a back body drop and Orton tags in.

Orton with a kick to Riley and then he connects with European uppercuts and punches. Orton kicks Riley in the corner and then Riley with a kick and he tags in Miz. Orton with a clothesline to Miz and then he stomps on Miz’s head. Orton with another boot to the head and then he does the same to the solar plexus. Lawler tags back in and he punches Miz. The referee warns Lawler and Miz with a boot to the head. Miz punches Lawler in the head and the referee pulls Miz off Lawler. Miz with a snap mare and reverse chin lock.

Miz with an Irish whip and then he sets for the Awesome Clothesline and he hits it.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Riley has Lawler in an arm bar but Lawler with punches. Riley misses a charge into the corner and he hits the post. Lawler goes to the wrong corner but he punches Riley. Miz distracts the referee and he disallows the tag. The referee did not see Miz make the tag but he is allowed in. Miz tries for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Orton hits an RKO. Riley makes the save and then Riley tags in. Orton tags in and Orton with clotheslines and a power slam. Orton with a back breaker to Riley and then he sees Riley on the apron. Orton with a kick and the IEDDT. Orton twists into the RKO push ups and Miz waits to pounce. Orton sees Miz trying to enter the ring. Riley comes up behind Orton but Orton with an RKO to Riley. Orton hisses at Miz and Miz stays on the apron. Orton tags Lawler back in and Lawler goes to the turnbuckles as the strap comes down and Lawler with the fist drop for the three count.

Winners: Jerry Lawler and Randy Orton

2013 - TNA broadcast Impact Wrestling.  Stu Carapola filed the following TV report:

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live coverage of Impact Wrestling!

We kick the show off with Sting coming out to the ring with Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe, saying that he said he'd return on 1-3-13 to get Aces & Eights, and he's brought his friends and his bat. Joe says that Aces & Eights had him outmanned, but not outgunned. He's putting A&E on notice that if they get in his face tonight, Joe is going to take them down and choke them out. Angle says that he made a promise to unmask all of Aces & Eights and he's started that last week, but he also wants to know whose side Ken Anderson is on, so he wants him to come out to the ring and explain himself. Anderson comes out and asks where they all were a few months ago when Aces & Eights were laying him out, and says that he was on his way to the ring not to fight Sting, but stand by his side when that happened. Sting not only left him there, but replaced him with Bully Ray, so he doesn't know what their problem is. Angle says he doesn't have a problem, because it's this simple: either Anderson is with them, or they're going to fight. Anderson walks the rest of the way to the ring and gets right in Angle's face and says he doesn't have to answer to him, and in fact, he never did like him. Angle pauses to consider that, then tells Anderson that the feeling is mutual before punching him in the face and then getting on top of Anderson to unload with punches. Anderson rolls out of the ring and powerwalks to the back as Angle yells after him that this is his ring.

Tonight, Angle will apparently wrestle Anderson, Jeff Hardy and James Storm will face Bobby Roode and Austin Aries, and the Gut Check returns! Justin Bradley is one of the men competing in this month's Gut Check, and we see a video package where he talks about how he's seen some of the guys he broke into the business with go on to become stars, and this is his opportunity tonight. He says it's nothing personal, but it's either him or Brian Cage, and he needs this opportunity.

The dumbass cameraman is waiting for Brooke Hogan in the parking lot as she drives up in her golf cart (seriously), and she responds to his usual harassment by saying they'll air their laundry in the ring as usual before she walks off to take a call from Mark.

Time for the second match in the X Division Contender's Tournament!

X Division Contender Tournament Semifinal: Kenny King vs Zema Ion

Oooooh, Ion is "already in the ring", that's not a good sign. They trade shots until King backdrops Ion out to the apron and knocks him to the floor with a cartwheel kick. Ion manages to draw King out to the floor and take him out with a dive, but they go back in and King regains the advantage. King gets a vertical suplex, rolls through, and drills Ion with several right hands before covering for 2. King takes Ion to the corner and nails him with a back elbow, but misses a second cartwheel kick and Ion floats through the ropes with a tornado DDT for 2. Ion gets a small package for 2, but he misses a 450 splash and King nails him with Shotgun Knees before finishing him with the Royal Flush.

Winner: Kenny King

King grabs Christy Hemme's microphone on his way to the back and says that this weekend, Christy is going to announce him as the new champion.

We go to the back where Robbie E is complaining to someone off camera that first Jersey Shore gets cancelled, then Robbie T shows him up in the Bro Off, and now Tara and Jesse are challenging him to a mixed tag. He wants to know if the mystery person will join up with him, but Brooke Tessmacher suddenly comes into view and says that Robbie disgusts her. Robbie says he'll do anything, and she says fine, she'll do it as long as she can tag with a winner (indicating Robbie T). Robbie bros at him as he leaves with Tessmacher.

Joseph Park is on his way into the building and he's ecstatic to be back after training at OVW. He thanks the partners at Park, Park & Park for allowing him to put his legal career on hold to take care of business, and says that when he sees Hulk Hogan tonight, it'll be as a wrestler. He then tries to go inside and the door is locked so he can't get in. Oh, the hilarity!

We go to the Impact Zone where Jesse is gorilla pressing Tara, leading us into...

Tara & Jesse Godderz vs Robbie T & Miss Tessmacher

Jesse tries to cheapshot T, but T no-sells Jesse's shots and just starts tossing him aruond like a ragdoll. Jesse tags out to Tara, and she slowly comes into the ring as Brooke comes in to take her out with a series of clotheslines and a charging forearm. Brooke mounts Tara in the corner and humps her face, then stinkfaces her in the corner. Tara crawls to the safety of her corner and tags in Jesse, who promptly get chokeslammed into the corner and powerbombed. T covers Jesse and gets an easy win.

Winners: Robbie T & Miss Tessmacher

Robbie T comes in and tells taryn Terrell to get lost so he can raise their hands, but Robie won't do it...and then Robbie T's music hits and he starts dancing with Brooke, even doing the butt butt before doing the Dirty Dancing gimmick and planting a big kiss on Tessmacher, who faints because she's apparently in love. Robbie E's jaw in on the mat as he stares after Robbie T as he walks to the back.

Brian Cage always wanted to be a pro wrestler, he got his opportunity and lost it, but this was all he ever wanted to do. Tonight in the Gut Check, he has the chance to prove himself to everyone, and with only one contract being awarded, he has to have it.

The Gut Check contestants are backstage, and they're...STRETCHING!

We're back, and it's Gut Check Time!

Gut Check: Jay Bradley vs Brian Cage

These guys look exactly the same. I honestly can't tell who's doing what, but they do a lot of mat wrestling and pinning combinations. They trade forearms before Bradley (according to the announcers) flattens Cage with a big boot. Okay, Bradley has the tattoos, got it. Bradley commences with beating the crap out of Cage, then lifts him up for an easy bodyslam before hitting a running kneedrop. Bradley prepares for a lariat with his "Boom Stick" elbowpad, but Cage catches him coming in with a dropkick and then climbs to the second rope to suplex Bradley into the ring. That takes power. Cage comes off the top rope with an elbowdrop for 2. Bradley hits the lariat on a second try and picks up the win.

Winner: Jay Bradley

Honestly, neither of them really stood out to any great degree, and I thought it was a bad idea to put two guys who look so similar in the ring with each other

We go back to the Aces & eights clubhouse where Ken Anderson says something needs to be done about Kurt Angle, but the VP says tonight isn't about personal stuff, it's about business. The gang walks into the boardroom and closes the door behind them so the VP can chew Mike Knox out for losing his mask. Knox starts to explain himself, but the VP doesn't wnat to hear it because Doc lost his mask and earned his spot back at the table. Now Knox can either earn his spot tonight or he can be gone.

Joseph Park is backstage, and he's...having a panic attack!

Joseph Park is in the ring, and he's back from wrestling camp. He thought passing the bar was tough, but it was nothing compared to what he did in OVW, but he's back now and he'd like to talk to Hulk Hogan. Hogan comes out to the ring and congratulates Park on getting through wrestlign school, but Hogan has some business to get on to. Park just wants to stop and thank Hogan for giving him the motivation to put his legal profession aside so he can go to wrestling camp, thank Danny Davis for training him, and he realizes he's still considered a greenhorn, but he's begging Hogan to let him be a wrestler. Hogan says he got beat up for two years by Hiro Matsuda and to take some time, but Park says he did everything Hogan asked him to do and his business is now here at Impact Wrestling with Aces & Eights, and he wants that match he wanted. Hogan agrees before hearing what the match is, but Park hugs him anyway and says he won't disappoint him. Park leaves, but Brooke is on the ImpactTron and says she's left him voicemails and emails and she hasn't heard back, so she's coming out to the ring to straighten this thing out...RIGHT NOW!

We're back as Brooke Hogan and her crappy entrance music come out to the ring, and she wants to know what's up with her dad totally dissing her by ignoring her. She wants to know if he's going to reinstate Mark or keep doing this like it's some kind of personal vendetta (which I really think it is), but Hulk says he's not reinstating Mark and walks off while Brooke cries in the ring.

Bobby Roode and Austin Aries are backstage talking about who has better merch on ShopTNA.com and arguing over what they're going to wear to the ring. Aries says the one thing they can agree on is that they both deserve to be champion more than Hardy or Storm, and that they're the WET dream team. They'll deal with their problem and then deal with their problems, and they go back to arguing over who's wearing what. This interplay between them is really starting to grow on me.

We go to a video package where Austin Aries talks about how he needs to be a World Champion, Hardy says Aries can't be because he's an egomaniac who went crazy after losing it. Aries says that WHEN he wins the title at Genesis, it's going to be all about him.

TNA World Champion Jeff Hardy & James Storm vs Bobby Roode & Austin Aries

Roode and Hardy start us off as Mike Tenay tells us about all the titles Hardy won in TNA and WWE. Hardy runs Roode over with a shoulderblock and then Roode has words with Aries, who he tags in and tells to go ahead and take care of Hardy if he's so awesome. Aries takes Hardy down and literally wrestles circles around him, then mouths off to Roode while holding Hardy in a front facelock. Hardy comes back with a headscissors, inverted atomic drop for both opponents, then tags in Storm for a double back elbow on Roode. They double team Aries in the corner as well and Hardy hits Poetry In Motion to send Aries out to the floor where Roode yells at him. Roode and Aries argue and get into a shoving match as we go to commercial.

We're back, and Roode is back in the ring getting beat up by Hardy. Hardy goes for the Whisper In The Wind, but Roode hits the ropes and Hardy crashes hard as Roode puts the boots to him. Aries tags himself in and yells at Roode to get out of his way as he starts to work over Hardy's leg. Aries and Roode tag in and out and work Hardy over, Hardy gets a sunset flip on Roode but Aries distracts the referee to save Roode from being pinned. Roode responds by pasting Hardy with a couple of big kneedrops before Aries tags in and plants Hardy with a big bodyslam before hitting a kneedrop off the second rope. Roode tags himself in so he can come off the second rope with another kneedrop, but Hardy gets the boot up and creates enough of an opening to tag Storm in. Storm cleans house on Aries and Roode, planting Aries with a Tennessee Slam before drilling Roode with an enziguiri and a running neckbreaker for 2. Storm hits Closing Time on Aries to send him out of the ring, then sets up for the Last Call on Roode. Daniels and Kazarian run out and get in a fight with Storm on the floor while Hardy hits the Twist of Fate on Roode, but Aries prevents him from hitting a second Twist of Fate by nailing Hardy in the back of the head with the title belt and gets himself disqualified.

Winners: Jeff Hardy & James Storm by DQ

Aries and roode each hold one of Hardy's title belts up in defiance of each other, each trying to grab the belts out of the other's hand.

Brooke Hogan is backstage on the phone with Mark and tells him it's not a good idea for him to come to the arena, but finally at least lets him pick her up outside the office. Well that's nice of her.

Angle and Anderson are up next!

Joey Ryan and Matt Morgan are backstage starting to cut a promo on Chavo Guerrero Jr and Hernandez about this weekend's title match at the PPV, but then the champions run in and the four of them start brawling.

It's main event time!

Ken Anderson vs Kurt Angle

Anderson bails to the floor as soon as the bell rings, but Angle gets a microphone and tells him to get his ugly ass in the ring so they can do this. Mike Knox runs into the ring while Angle has his back turned and hits Angle in the back of the head with a ball peen hammer. Garett Bischoff and Wes Brisco run out to chase Knox off, and Aces & Eights celebrates while Angle's pals check on him. I guess we can call this...

NO CONTEST

We see replays of the attack as medical personnel check on Angle and carry him out on a stretcher. Sting comes out to the ring and tells Devon that if he calls off the troops, he'll call off his troops so he can fight Knox right now. Devon and the rest of the gang tell Mike Knox to go get Sting as we go to commercial.

We're back, and Mike Knox took the entire break to walk about ten feet before getting in the ring where Sting nails him with his bat. The referee takes the bat and the hammer out of the ring and we have an impromptu main event!

Sting vs Mike Knox

Knox overpowers Sting with heavy forearms and chokes him on the middle rope before hitting the Boss Man Straddle. Sting tries to escape to the floor, Knox goes after him but Sting fires back and rams Knox into the ring steps. They're still not referring to Knox by name, so I assume they're going to call him something else, but Sting continues ramming him into the steps over and over before ramming him into the guardrail and following him in with the Stinger Splash. They go back inside where Sting continues to destroy Knox, Knox kicks Sting off on a Scorpion Deathlock attempt, but Sting no sells and hits a Stinger Splash and a Scorpion Deathdrop for the win.

Winner: Sting

Sting has the hammer and he stands over Knox with it before smashing his hand with it. He prepares to continue destroying Knox, but Aces & Eights comes out with Brooke Hogan held captive and Devon says that if he keeps going, he'll never recognize Brooke again. Devon said that 2013 would be Aces & Eights' year, and he guarantees they'll reign supreme like they did in 2012. Bully Ray runs out with a chain and takes out a couple of members of Aces & Eights to rescue Brooke, and he gets her away from Aces & Eights as Hulk Hogan comes out to the top of the ramp to observe as we go to commercial.

We come back from commercial as Hulk Hogan says he guesses he's supposed to thank Bubba for putting his daughter in danger, but he doesn't like Bubba, he doesn't believe him, and he's not the man for his daughter. Bubba says Hogan is so wound up that he's even talking crap to his best friend. Bubba's been in the business for 20 years and it's his life, and all he ever cared about was being the best he could ever be, whether that's as good as Sting or as great as Hogan. The business means everything to him, and he never thought he'd love anything as much as he loved pro wrestling until Brooke came into his life. The crazy thing is that she came into his life because she was apologizing for Hulk being a hardass even when he had Sting's back until the end. Bubba doesn't even know what to say, and this is all happening entirely too quick, and he's not good at feelings and emotions because he knows he's a hardass, but things are different with Brooke. Bubba gets down on one knee and takes out a ring as Sting and Hulk look on in shock. Bubba puts the ring on Brooke's finger and says he loves her, and he wants everyone to know how much he cares for her and loves her and wants her to marry him. Brooke enthusiastically says yes, and Hulk looks super angry as Bubba says they ought to do it (where else) right here on Impact next week. hogan is fuming as he walks to the back and Brooke makes out with Bubba in the ring. Bubba stares off into space, almost as if...HE HAS SOMETHING ELSE ON HIS MIND. What could that be about?

Thanks for following PWInsider.com's live coverage of Impact Wrestling, I'll be back tomorrow to discuss Impact and more with Dave Scherer on the Stu & Pid Show!

2014 - In an article covering the WWE Network launch, The Los Angeles Times, Vince McMahon explained why the WWE Network is launching as a streaming Network, as opposed to a cable channel.

The reason, quite simply, is that there wasn't enough money in it for WWE Network.

In the article, McMahon claimed that WWE had deals in place for the Network to launch as a cable-only entity, but felt they were "too restrictive" and that they would have only garnered WWE "20 cents a subscriber."

When you compare that to the guaranteed $9.99 per month per subscriber, you can see why McMahon would choose to instead push for the service to launch as a streaming entity.

In regard to PPV providers potentially dropping WWE events in response to the Network launch, McMahon said, "I think it’d be foolish for them not to want to carry the pay-per-view anymore. It’s found money for them."

McMahon's comments were made prior to DirecTV issuing a statement teasing that they may quickly reconsider their WWE PPV deal.
