Here are full Spoilers from NXT TV at Full Sail University on January 7, 2016
There was no pre-show dark match. Instead, there was a taping for a show called NXT Kids. The set up has Corey Graves and two kids calling matches, a ring announcer, and an interviewer. Results are as follows:
- Becky Lynch def. Natalya
- Big Show def. Heath Slater
Post match: Izzy (Bayley's superfan) interviewed Big Show.
After each match, the competitors hugged and shook hands.
Now, to NXT TV.
There is a new commentary team. It is Tom Phillips and Corey Graves.
Week 1
- Sami Zayn came out for a promo, saying how good it was to be home. The crowd loved him. He said he was going to be the first 2 time NXT Champion. Samoa Joe came out and talked about how he saved Sami last time. Joe staked his claim to the number 1 contender spot. Baron Corbin came out and said they all needed to get to the back of the line. Joe told Corbin to back off. Sami and Joe went face to face until Joe backed off. Baron attacked Sami from behind, but Sami recovered and got the better of Corbin. Joe threatened to come back in, but decided not to.
- Tomasso Ciampa def. Danny Birch
- Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder def. The Ascension
- Elias Samson def. Cory Hollis
- Carmella won an over the top rope battle royal to become the number 1 contender to the NXT Women's Championship, last eliminating Eva Marie. Interesting to note, Nia Jax did not participate.
Week 2
- Sami Zayn def. Adam Rose
- Apollo Crews def. Tye Dillinger.
Post match: Crews talks about hating matches ending in a dq. He knows he hasn't earned a title shot, but he still wants a non title match with Finn Balor.
- Baron Corbin def. Rich Swann (possibly a dark match)
- Bayley and Carmella def. Alexa Bliss and Emma (w/Dana Brooke)
- Samoa Joe def. Johnny Gargano
Week 3
- American Alpha (Jason Jordan and Chad Gable) def. Blake and Murphy w/Alexa Bliss
- Nia Jax (w/Eva Marie) def. Liv Morgan
- Alex Riley def. Bull Dempsey
- Elias Samson def. John Skylar
- Number 1 Contender Match: Sami Zayn vs. Samoa Joe vs. Baron Corbin ends in controversy. Sami had Baron locked in a sharpshooter on Corbin when Joe came in and locked Corbin in a crossface. Corbin tapped. Joe and Sami argued over who won. William Regal came out and discussed the issue with the competitors and the referee, but no decision was announced to the crowd.
Week 4
- The Vaudevillains def. The Hype Bros
- Carmella def. Emma (w/Dana Brooke)
- Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady def. Two jobbers (names were not announced)
- Asuka def. Santana Garrett
- Finn Balor def. Apollo Crews in a non title match.
After the show, on social media, the following matches were announced for the NXT Taping at the CFE Arena in Orlando on January 24. They are:
- Bayley vs. Carmella for the NXT Women's Championship
- Sami Zayn vs. Samoa Joe to determine the number one contender to the NXT Championship
Notes
- Liv Morgan and Peyton Royce both have new theme music.
- Her appearance in the battle royal marks Aliyah's televised in ring debut
- All matches involving women are announced as "In the Women's Division" instead of being called "Diva's matches".
- Dana Brooke was at ringside, but did not compete and did not take bumps.
-No mention of Hideo Itami was made to the crowd.
-IMPORTANT SECURITY CHANGE: Normally, after the show, fans will line up where the wrestlers exit for photos and autographs. While fans were waiting post show, security came out and announced this would not longer be occuring. It was mentioned that it was for the fan's safety since it was an uncontrolled environment and they didn't want to risk our safety. Every one was told to disperse and go to our vehicles. They were very quick to make sure the area was clear and were kind of rushing people out. This is a notice for anyone who attend future tapings.
