TNA SPOILER FOR POP DEBUT

By Mike Johnson on 2016-01-04 18:28:01
Former TNA champion James Storm will be returning to Impact Wrestling at this week's TV Tapings in Bethlehem, PA. Storm could appear as soon as tomorrow's live Impact Wrestling broadcast on Pop, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

Storm had been with TNA since it launched in June 2002 and had been a major player in the company for most of his run, starting as one half of the company's signature tag team America's Most Wanted before the team broke up and he began a major singles run.  Later, Storm and Bobby Roode formed "Beer Money", an act that the company could easily reform if they decided to go in that direction.

Storm's TNA contract expired in June 2015, ending his long run with the company, although TNA had filmed so much material with him for the World Title Series that to the average TV viewer, it seemed he never left.  His most recent role saw him as the leader of "The Revolution", a rag-tag group of broken misfits that he had re-shaped in his vision, including Manik, Abyss and Mahabali Shera, building to Shera turning babyface.

Storm made several appearances on WWE NXT (and had been negotiating a new deal with TNA up to the point he made his first NXT appearance) in October 2015.  He last appeared for NXT in November 2015 at a TV Taping.    His return to TNA indicates he won't be working for NXT going forward.

Storm flew to Pennsylvania today for tomorrow's tapings at the Sands Casino Arena in Bethlehem, PA.  He is scheduled to be at all of the tapings this week.  TNA will be taping several episodes of Impact Wrestling and One Night Only PPVs before broadcasting a live One Night Only PPV this Thursday evening.
