Will WWE have either a proper female foil for her or can't the male wrestlers at least grab her arm or something to stop getting hit?
My guess is we won't see what until Ronda Rousey (aka IF Rousey) returns to do something additional for the company. Â
I was interested to read on your site that the WWE has hired Mauro Ranallo as the lead announcer on Smackdown. I am a huge fan of his work and especially enjoy his work on the New Japan shows on AXS. That all being said I’m surprised WWE would hire him. The reason I say that is that his announcing style is totally different than what they tend to look for in an announcer. He also treats wrestling as a serious sport and seems to have a vast knowledge of the holds and moves which seems to be the opposite of what WWE is looking for. Do you think that WWE is planning to go in a more serious directions with Smackdown once it moves to the USA Network or will they try to remake Mauro into a typical WWE announcer. If so, I’m not sure they will be successful in doing that.
It remains to be seen but based on what Ranallo has said, they want to tweak him a little but maintain the serious, analytical style that he is well known for. If that's the case, it's a great hire for WWE. Â
Do you think Triple H will hold himself off TV until Royal Rumble where he deems himself the surprise number 30 entrant, wins, and goes on to face Reigns for the title at Mania? Seems like the most logical way to get to Triple H vs Reigns at Mania if the title is on the line. Â
Given that he was already on NXT, I don't see him keeping himself off TV. I also don't expect HHH to win the Rumble. Â
If you were in charge of WWE, how would you handle Roman Reigns' limited mic skills, besides banning "tator tot" jokes and Jack & the Beanstalk stories?
I'd take the less is more stance and let him speak from the heart. It's obvious long monolouges aren't his strong suit, so don't do them.
