By Mike Johnson on 2015-11-25 16:12:43
WFTV channel 9 in Orlando featured video footage today from an interview Armando Alejandro Montalvo, the fan who was shot outside the WWE Performance Center this past August after he charged police officers who were called to the scene, explaining his side of what happened to investigators.

Montalvo claimed that he just wanted to become a professional wrestler and believed he was on a "reality series." He also stated that he ran at the police officers who responded because he believed he would be shot with a stun gun and would look tough for the reality cameras.

Police were called after Montalvo, who the company had secured a restraining order against after he had allegedly trespassed and vandalized the PC, showed up and began acting out outside the facility.in previous arrests, Montalvo has been deemed mentally incompetent, leading to previous charges, including battery against an police officer, to be dropped.

Montalvo's father told the station that he understands he is not allowed near the WWE Performance Center again.

Montalvo, 29, who is out of the hospital and has bonded out of jail, has plead not guilty to charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and trespassing. A trial is slated for February 2016.
