SURVIVOR SERIES 1996
by Matt Shalk

November 17, 1996

Location: New York, New York

Arena: Madison Square Garden

Attendance: 18, 647

RESULTS:

â–º Doug Furnas, Phil LaFon, & The Godwinns (Henry & Phineas Godwinn) defeated "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith, Owen Hart, & the New Rockers (Marty Jannetty & Leif Cassidy) in a team elimination match. Clarence Mason accompanied "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith & Owen Hart to ringside. Hillbilly Jim accompanied Henry & Phineas Godwinn.

Eliminations: Henry Godwinn pinned Marty Jannetty following a Slop Drop. Owen Hart pinned Henry Godwinn. The British Bulldog powerslammed Phineas Godwinn and made the pin. Phil LaFon pinned Leif Cassidy following a superplex. LaFon then pinned The British Bulldog with a small package. Doug Furnas pinned Hart following a German suplex to win the match for his team.

Survivors: Doug Furnas & Phil LaFon

â–º The Undertaker defeated Mankind following a tombstone piledriver.

The Undertaker made a unique ring entrance, as he descended from the ceiling wearing wings. Paul Bearer, managing Mankind, was suspended over the ring in a cage during the match. By virtue of his win, the Undertaker was allowed five minutes alone in the ring with Paul Bearer, but The Executioner (Terry Gordy in a mask) ran in and made the save before the Undertaker could lay a beating on his former manager.

â–º "Marvelous" Marc Mero, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, "The Stalker" Barry Windham, & Rocky Maivia defeated WWF Intercontinental Champion Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Goldust, Crush, & Jerry "The King" Lawler in a team elimination match. Sable accompanied Marc Mero to ringside. Marlena accompanied Goldust. Sunny joined the commentary team for the match.

Eliminations: Jake Roberts pinned Jerry Lawler following a DDT. Goldust hit Barry Windham with the Curtain Call and made the pin. Marc Mero pinned Hunter Hearst Helmsley following a moonsault. Marc Mero was counted out. Crush pinned Jake Roberts following a heart punch. Rocky Maivia hit a high crossbody and pinned Crush, then pinned Goldust following a shoulder breaker to win the match for his team.

Survivors: Rocky Maivia

â–º Bret "Hitman" Hart pinned "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in an excellent match. The finish saw Austin lock Hart in the Million Dollar Dream sleeper, but Hart pushed off the ropes and fell backwards on Austin for the pin. This was Steve Austin's Survivor Series debut.

â–º Faaroog, Vader, Razor Ramon II, & Diesel II fought to a draw with Savio Vega, Flash Funk, Yokozuna, & Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka in a team elimination match. Jimmy Snuka was promoted as a "mystery partner" on the team. Jim Cornette accompanied Vader to ringside. The original Nation of Domination accompanied Faarooq.

Eliminations: Diesel II pinned Savio Vega following a jackknife power bomb. Jimmy Snuka pinned Razor Ramon II following a Superfly Splash off the top rope. Diesel II brought a chair into the ring, and everyone started to brawl. The referee called for the bell and disqualified all of the remaining participants.

Survivors: None

â–º Sycho Sid defeated Shawn Michaels to win the WWF Championship. Jose Lothario, Shawn's mentor, was at ringside. The end of the match saw Sid hit Lothario with a television camera. Michaels responded by hitting Sid with Sweet Chin Music, but opted to check on Lothario instead of trying for the pin. The referee was out in the ring, so Sid hit Michaels with the television camera as well. Sid threw Michaels back into the ring and hit a power bomb, the referee recovered, and Sid made the pin to win his first WWF Championship. Sid, despite being a heel, received a great response from the live crowd.

CARD SUBJECT TO CHANGE: Mark Henry was originally scheduled to compete as a member of the Marc Mero's team, but injured his leg prior to the event and was unable to participate. Jake "The Snake" Roberts replaced him on the team.

NOTES: Vince McMahon & Jim Ross did commentary for the event. Carlos Cabrera and Hugo Savinovich did Spanish commentary. Todd Pettingill, Dok Hendrix, & Kevin Kelly handled backstage interviews. Howard Finkel was the ring announcer....Bart Gunn, Jesse James, Bob Holly, & "Portuguese Man-O-War" Aldo Montoya defeated Billy Gunn, Salvatore Sincere, The Sultan, & Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw in a Survivor Series elimination match featured on the live "Free-For-All" pre-show prior to the pay-per-view. Bart Gunn was the sole survivor on his team....Promotional materials for the event featured Shawn Michaels, Sycho Sid, Bret "Hitman" Hart, & "Stone Cold" Steve Austin....Shawn Michaels was booed out of the building, despite being the babyface in the main event. The finish, using the television camera was used just the night before at ECW's November to Remember.

Buck Woodward: This was the only Survivor Series card that I attended live and in person. ... I was shocked when Bart Gunn was given the win in the dark match, since it was obvious, even then, that Billy was going to get the push. ... Surprise number two was them putting Lafon and Furnas over so strong. ... Undertaker's entrance was awesome. ... Much like Undertaker years before, who knew what Rocky Maivia was going to become. ... Hart vs. Austin was fantastic, and a match that often gets forgotten, since their Wrestlemania 13 match is so celebrated. ... It was cool to see Snuka do the Superfly splash in Madison Square Garden in person. ... What was Flash Funk/2 Cold Scorpio thinking with that yellow and red outfit? ... It was wild to hear the MSG crowd totally turn on Michaels and cheer Sid in the main event.

Mike Johnson: I attended this show live and had seats that were so horrible on the floor that my friends and I actually snuck halfway up the building to WORSE seats so we had a better view of the ring....This was probably the only show where Doug Furnas and Phil Lafon came off looking like stars during their WWF tenure. I really expected a lot out of them here, especially since I loved Furnas' work, but it wasn't to be.....2 Cold Scorpio's debut set the pace for his WWF run as well, as he never really got out of the gate with the Flash Funk character....I'm pretty sure this was the last big WWF appearance for Yokozuna....Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin was awesome and worth whatever I paid for the ticket to the show. Just great stuff that set the stage for Austin's rise to prominence in the WWF.

1998 - Duane Gill, playing his "Gillberg" character (a spoof on Goldberg), defeats Christian for the WWF Light Heavyweight Title in Columbus, Ohio.

2000 - Da Hit Squad defeat Don Montoya & Homicide for the Jersey All Pro Tag Team Titles in Bayonne, New Jersey, the second of five title reigns for the duo.

2002 - WWE's Survivor Series was held in Madison Square Garden in New York City, and featured five separate title changes. Here is Tim Whitehead's original report on the show:

WWE's Survivor Series (11/17 from New York's Madison Square Garden) was a successful event with two controversial endings. The show set what I believe is a PPV record with a clean sweep of five title changes (they've done four a couple of times). Two of those changes were controversial, in the non-storyline sense. The first was when Brock Lesnar lost the WWE World Title to Big Show when Paul Heyman turned. A very good case could be made that Lesnar needed a long, uninterrupted reign to establish himself as a new major star. His position was already watered down by the decision to create a separate world title for RAW. The loss of the title this soon shows an amazing lack of patience among the people running WWE, even though all logic dictates that he'll get the belt back soon enough. The Heyman turn was something that eventually would have to happen, and should happen, but should have been saved for something like a Wrestlemania. I actually enjoyed the tension between Lesnar and Heyman, and the gimmick of them often arguing, but then working together at match time, was one that could have lasted a long while before the blow off. Why, after all, would Heyman dump the Next Big Thing, a guy who (on WWE TV at least) had never lost via pinfall, for a guy they've treated as a jobber for the past two years and who as recently as the last Smackdown got pulverized by Lesnar?

The other controversial ending was the Shawn Michaels win in the Elimination Chamber for the RAW World Title. One would think this is short term as well due to Heartbreak Kid's back problems. It was also controversial because of his past record of not doing jobs, though doing a return favor for Triple H probably won't be a problem for him. HBK was clearly the emotional and crowd favorite in that match so his win was logical, and thus more popular than his notorious last title win on a Survivor Series.

The split team commentary was very good. The crowd cooled a few times but was mostly hot, and very hot for the key matches and spots.

BUBBA RAY DUDLEY & SPIKE DUDLEY & JEFF HARDY defeated THREE MINUTE WARNING in 14:19 in a Tables Elimination Match. All six brawled at first with TMW getting dumped from the ring. Bubba threw Spike out onto them, but they caught him, so Jeff vaulted high out onto them, nearly killing himself on the bump. They did a couple of wazzup spots, and then the tables began to materialize. Rosey put himself through a table when he charged Spike and missed, but it wasn't an elimination since they used the rules that going through a table on an offensive move doesn't count. I'm sure they'll use the opposite rules next time, just to confuse us. By the way, Rosey plowing through that table looked awesome. Jeff and Rosey then sort of messed up a little spot and the crowd let them know about it. The first elimination came at 4:23 when Spike tried for a Dudley Dog on Rico, but Rosey & Jamal blocked it and plastered Spike through a table in a spot that looked really painful. Rosey & Jamal went to the top but both got crotched. Rosey's crotching may have been the best one of all time. Rico got tossed out and landed on a cameraman. Rosey attacked Jeff and dragged him through the crowd. Bubba laid Rico and Jamal out and chased after Rosey. Rosey was about to put Jeff through a table in the crowd area when Bubba made the save. Jeff then swantoned Rosey through the table from off a ledge for the second elimination at 7:52. Back in the ring, Bubba got jumped and placed on a table. Rico went up to moonsault him through but Jeff caused a crotching again. Bubba tried to superplex Rico through but Jamal moved the table. Jeff did a corkscrew moonsault on Jamal. On the floor, Jeff did his rail run but slipped and clumsily went through a table held by Jamal (ruled an offensive move by the ref, so no elimination). However, Jeff was hurt and got placed on another table and Jamal splashed him through from off the top for the elimination at 10:57 in a major sick looking spot. Jamal went to superplex Bubba through a table but Bubba blocked it and powerbombed Jamal through from off the top for an elimination at 12:08. This left Bubba and Rico, but Jamal & Rosey, though eliminated, attacked Bubba and beat him up before leaving. Rico joined in and it was three-on-one until suddenly, to a huge pop, D-Von Dudley ran in for the save. D-Von destroyed Rosey & Jamal, and they finished it off with a 3D on Rico through a table at 14:19 for the win. There was a big pop as Bubba & D-Von hugged, reuniting the Dudley Boyz, as D-Von is now back on RAW as part of the Big Show trade. Excellent opener.

Stacy Keibler appeared at the World, saying she had sent Test on a tour to promote his testicles. Saliva performed a song live.

BILLY KIDMAN beat JAMIE NOBLE to capture the Cruiserweight Title in 7:28. Some good mat stuff with Noble hitting a neckbreaker. Noble hurled Kidman out and nailed him with a tope. The crowd cooled here and didn't pop until near the end, but it was a good match. Kidman dropkicked Noble out of the air and hit a backbreaker. They started trading two counts but the crowd still didn't get that much into it. Kidman went up for his shooting star press, with Nidia pulling Noble to safety. So Kidman then splashed Noble on the floor. Back in the ring they did a series of spots concluding with Noble colliding with Nidia after she slapped Kidman. They traded more twos, including one after Kidman DDT'd Noble off the top. Noble responded by DDT'ing Kidman almost straight down on his head from a top rope position. Kidman recovered and went back up. Nidia tried to stop him so he kicked her away and then hit the shooting star press for the pin and first of five title changes.

Backstage, Kurt Angle told Chris Benoit that if Kidman can win a title, then surely they can regain their tag belts. Angle called himself the team captain and they argued back and forth over it until finally doing the hugging deal again, with Benoit not all that happy about it.

F-VIEW cameras caught Victoria looking in her dressing room mirror. She asked the mirror who is the prettiest diva of them all. The mirror didn't actually say anything, nor did Ultimate Warrior appear in it (remember that angle in WCW?). But Victoria thought the mirror said Trish Stratus is the prettiest, so she went into a rage and smashed the mirror and tore up a cardboard Trish cut-out.

VICTORIA defeated TRISH STRATUS in 7:00 in a hardcore match to capture the WWE Women's Title. This may have been the roughest women's match ever in WWE. Jerry Lawler said Victoria just hasn't been the same since that house fell on her sister. Victoria choked Trish with her ring jacket. She used a broom on Trish. They took some pretty good shots from garbage cans and lids. They then used the kendo sticks for some hard blows. They were really laying them in. Trish tried to set up an ironing board but it wouldn't stand, so she propped it in the corner and rammed Victoria into it. They used the lids and sticks some more. Victoria got a bloody nose. She grabbed a mirror and looked at herself in it, but the mirror didn't get used as a weapon. Trish hit a very bad bulldog. Victoria shot a fire extinguisher off in Trish's face and pinned her with a suplex. Not much finesse, but a very entertaining women's match. I like Victoria's gimmick.

Jonathan Coachman interviewed Eric Bischoff. Bischoff promised the Elimination Chamber would make history, would be better than anything Stephanie could come up with, etc.. Big Show walked by and told Bischoff he was about to prove what a mistake it was to trade him away to Smackdown. Meanwhile, in Lesnar's locker room, Heyman was feigning concern over Lesnar's broken rib and promising to stand by him in the match.

BIG SHOW defeated BROCK LESNAR in 4:19 to capture the WWE World Title. Show threw Lesnar around but Lesnar then tackled him to a big pop. They brawled on the floor. In the ring, Lesnar side suplexed Show. He didn't get him all the way up and Taz, on the mic, said it was because of his broken rib. Lesnar gave Show a German suplex and also didn't get him all the way over. The ref took a great bump when Lesnar accidentally collided with him. Lesnar hit a belly to belly suplex. Heyman tossed in a chair. Lesnar walloped Show with it and hit the F5 (a real good one, too, despite Show's huge size). A second ref ran in to count the pin, but Heyman turned at this point by dragging the ref out and slugging him. Lesnar immediately went after Heyman and chased him, allowing Show to recover and blindside Lesnar with two chairshots to the rib area, followed by a chokeslam on the chair. The original ref revived and counted the first "official" pin on Lesnar in WWE. It was as good as a match with Show can be, and had great heat. Lesnar lost, but was protected. I'm not all that happy with the booking here, but we'll see how it turns out, I guess. Show and Heyman left together and fled in a limo.

Al Wilson & Dawn Marie were shown in the crowd, cuddling and watching the show together like two love birds.

EDDIE GUERRERO & CHAVO GUERRERO JR. defeated EDGE & REY MYSTERIO JR, and KURT ANGLE & CHRIS BENOIT in a three way elimination match to capture the Smackdown WWE World Tag Titles in 19:24. Benoit and Mysterio started it off. Mysterio hit a huracanrana. Edge tagged in. Benoit tagged Angle in, but he immediately tagged Chavo. Mysterio and Chavo traded bumps. Mysterio did spinning headscissors on both Angle and Eddie. Angle charged Mysterio but hit the post. Mysterio went to the top but slipped off and landed scarily almost on his head. Angle went to work on Mysterio, scoring some twos. Angle put a long facelock on Mysterio, which briefly killed the crowd. Angle and Benoit fast tagged and kept Mysterio tied up. Mysterio came back after landing standing on a suplex and plastered Angle with a hard kick. Edge hot tagged in and destroyed everyone until Angle & Benoit caught him and did the crossface and ankle lock combo on him. Mysterio made the save for Edge. Angle and Chavo brawled out to the floor where Mysterio did a corkscrew moonsault onto them. Benoit was about to German suplex Edge when Eddie came off the top with a sunset flip. So Eddie sunset flipped Benoit, who held onto Edge and German suplexed him as he was going over. Benoit suplexed Eddie out for a big bump and did more Germans on Edge. Eddie frog splashed Edge. Benoit did the diving headbutt on Eddie. Chavo hit Benoit with one of the title belts and then tossed the belt to Angle. Benoit thought Angle hit him, and they argued, allowing Edge to spear Benoit for the pin at 13:08. Kind of sad to see Angle & Benoit eliminated, but then, all three teams here were popular in their own way. Angle & Benoit, frustrated at their elimination, laid all four rivals out before leaving. They argued with one another on the way out. The Guerreros doubled on Edge and scored several twos. Mysterio hot tagged and the tide turned. Edge vaulted Mysterio up for a huracanrana off the top on Eddie. Mysterio did the 619 on Eddie as well. Mysterio went up for the West Coast Pop but Chavo hit him with one of the belts and Eddie forced Mysterio to tap to the Lasso from El Paso. It was a good match judged by normal standards but not the excellent match we've come to expect from these guys.

Christopher Nowinski came out and claimed to be the only Harvard graduate in the arena. He said New Yorkers are stupid. He added that intelligence isn't something you can buy, the way the Yankees bought all their World Series wins. Matt Hardy came out and disputed Nowinski, claiming New Yorkers could better be classified as losers rather than stupid. He said they not only lack Mattitude, but are sucking the Mattitude out of him so badly that he was in danger of choking like the Knicks. Nowinski and Matt argued back and forth over whether New Yorkers are stupid or losers, finally compromising by agreeing New Yorkers are losers who are stupid, calling them "loopid". At this point, Scott Steiner came out to a massive pop. Matt used Nowinski as a shield, but it was to no avail as Steiner destroyed both with suplexes, dumping them from the ring to excellent crowd heat. Steiner got on the mic and put over New York City, but otherwise said nothing about whether he's going to RAW or Smackdown. It was a great debut for Steiner, who came off looking like a major star.

Terri tried to interview HBK about the Elimination Chamber but they were interrupted by an RNN news report from Randy Orton, giving an update on his rehab.

Coach interviewed HHH, who had Ric Flair with him. HHH called the Chamber a first class ticket to hell but vowed to come out of it the winner because he really is that damn good.

Bischoff came out and put over the rules for the Chamber. He got inside the structure and pointed out all its features. It was a domed cage with chains instead of fencing for the siding. Its base was level with the ring, so if a wrestler got thrown out he would land on steel. There were four plexiglass individual chambers inside. The rules were that four wrestlers chosen by random drawing would enter those chambers, while the remaining two wrestlers would start the match. Every five minutes a wrestler would be released from his chamber, also by random drawing. The last man left would be the new RAW World Champion. It was an interesting structure, with the metal base being the scariest part. The chains instead of fencing looked good but wasn't any rougher than regular fencing. Kind of "gimmicky" but it came out okay as a live match forum.

SHAWN MICHAELS defeated TRIPLE H, CHRIS JERICHO, KANE, BOOKER T, and ROB VAN DAM in the Elimination Chamber to capture the RAW World Title in 39:17. Jim Ross mentioned all the wrestlers' Survivor Series records as they entered the ring. HHH's wasn't all that hot. HBK's, of course, included Montreal. The first four, in order, were Jericho, Booker, Kane, and HBK, each of whom entered an individual chamber. It was funny because they were also released from their chambers in that same order, but JR & Lawler kept wondering who the next guy released would be throughout the match. HHH and RVD started off the bout. They immediately started bumping on the steel base floor, which must surely have hurt. There was one comical WCW type blooper when RVD rammed HHH into the door and it flew open, after we had been told they were sealed inside. HHH juiced. RVD hit him with the rolling thunder on the steel. RVD went up on top of Jericho's chamber but Jericho reached through the chains to grab him. RVD still managed to dive off onto HHH. The first five minute mark was reached and Jericho was released from his chamber. RVD quickly moonsaulted him. Jericho vaulted RVD up into the chain caging but RVD grabbed it like Spiderman and came back off onto Jericho. HHH and Jericho joined forces and doubled on RVD, ramming him repeatedly into the caging. HHH gave RVD a DDT. At the end of the second five minutes, Booker was released. He laid HHH and Jericho out with kicks and did the spinaroonie. He then brawled with RVD. Booker flattened HHH with a scissor kick and RVD came off onto him with a frog splash from off a chamber. RVD sold it that his knee went out and Booker immediately missile kicked him and pinned him, so RVD was eliminated at 13:37. Jericho and Booker went at it and traded some good spots. Kane was released. He destroyed everyone, with HHH taking a Flair-style face first bump. Kane mauled Jericho and threw him through the glass on one of the empty chambers. It was a great looking spot. Kane chokeslammed Booker, with Jericho recovering and sneaking in with a lionsault for the pin and elimination on Booker at 17:39. Kane laid HHH out again and pulverized Jericho, who was juicing from the glass shot. An "HBK" chant started as it was nearly time for his release, and when he came out there was a huge pop. HBK cleaned house on everyone until Kane chokeslammed him. Kane then chokeslammed HHH and Jericho. This gave HBK time to recover and he caught Kane with the sweet chin music. HHH pedigreed Kane, followed by Jericho lionsaulting him and Kane was eliminated at 22:51 when Jericho pinned him. HHH and Jericho doubled on HBK, ramming him into the caging and bumping him on the steel. HBK juiced a gusher. HBK tried to piledrive Jericho on the steel but he backdropped HBK for a sick bump. Gotta give credit to HBK for taking this with his bad back. Jericho bulldogged and lionsaulted HBK but only scored two. The crowd by now was really into HBK as the favorite. HBK moonsaulted Jericho for a near fall. HBK put Jericho in his own walls hold but HHH broke it up. HHH gave HBK a DDT. HHH and Jericho argued over who would pin him and they began fighting. Jericho put HHH in the walls. HBK surprised Jericho with the sweet chin music and pinned him at 30:40. This left HHH and HBK. HHH backdropped HBK again on the steel, and then threw him through one of the glass chambers, like happened to Jericho earlier. Huge pop when HBK kicked out at two. They each took more shots into the steel and the chain caging. The crowd was chanting "HBK" like crazy. HBK came off one of the individual chambers with an elbow. HHH blocked the chin music and hit a pedigree, but he was slow to make the cover due to exhaustion and only scored a two count. HHH went for another pedigree but HBK backdropped him and nailed him with the chin music for the pin. Major pop for the HBK win and title change. A long gimmick match with both some weak and strong spots, but mostly good and the grand finale was excellent to end an overall strong PPV show. HHH apparently was legit injured during the match.

Notes: Triple H suffered a throat injury during the main event at Survivor Series when Rob Van Dam hit him with his shin while going for a frog splash off one of the chambers. Triple H was in the trauma unit for the throat injury that night, and in his tights and bloody until Monday afternoon. There was a delay in testing his throat as he was dehydrated from his match and was unable to drink due to concerns of causing an infection in the throat, which forced him to need IV treatment in order to prepare his body for dyes they doctors needed to inject for tests.

2005 - WWE broadcast a tribute to Eddie Guerrero on Smackdown.  Richard Trionfo filed the following report:

Last Sunday, Eddie Guerrero died unexpectedly in Minneapolis, Minnesota at 38. Instead of the regular Raw and Smackdown tapings that night, they did a number of matches featuring Raw versus Smackdown talent to honor the memory of Eddie Guerrero.

This week's show comes to you from Minneapolis, Minnesota and your announcers are Tazz and Michael Cole.

The show begins with a graphic "In Memory Eddie Guerrero 1967-2005"

Eddie Guerrero's entrance music plays and the low rider drives out with Batista at the wheel. Batista gets a mic and he says that if he knows anything about Eddie Guerrero, he would hate to see Batista in the ring crying like a little baby, but he cannot do that because he cannot believe that Eddie is gone. He has been thinking all day and does not know what to say or if he is the right person to come out and speak about Eddie. He wants the crowd to know two things about Eddie. First, he loved his family. Eddie had a lot of demons and troubles in his past, but he fought back from hell to get that back. The second thing was that he loved this business. He lived, breathed, ate, and bled this business. No matter how much pain he was in, when he stepped through the curtain, the pain went away. Batista fights back tears as he continues and the crowd chants "Eddie". His one comfort is that Eddie has found peace and is with God. Batista says that he would give anything to have Eddie back here because he misses Eddie. He will make sure that everyone remembers Eddie. Batista lays the World Title belt on the hood of the low rider and salutes Eddie as he walks to the back and we go to the video package that aired on Raw and commercials.

We are back with footage of Eddie Guerrero from his DVD where he talks about his childhood and family. He talked about how he got involved in wrestling. He talked about how Chavo Junior is more like his brother than his nephew.

It is time for our first match, Matt Hardy versus Carlito

Before the match, Michael Cole talks about how Carlito was responsible for the storyline between Eddie and Rey. Carlito with a side head lock and then he pulls the hair when Matt tries to get out of the hold. Matt counters with a hammer lock and side head lock of his own. Carlito tries to send Matt off the ropes, but Matt holds on to Carlito's hair. Matt slams Carlito's head into the turnbuckle repeatedly followed by a punch. Matt with a kick to Carlito and then he charges at Carlito, but Carlito with a drop toe hold that sends Matt outside the ring to the floor. Carlito sends Matt's back into the ring apron before rolling him back into the ring. Carlito kicks and punches Matt in the corner. Carlito with a suplex to Matt for a two count. Carlito kicks Matt and then connects with a series of shoulder blocks in the corner. Carlito punches Matt and then gets a two count. Carlito works on Matt's back and then he slams Matt before going to the second turnbuckle. Carlito mocks Matt, but when he comes off the turnbuckle, he is met by a boot from Hardy. Matt with forearms to Carlito followed by a running forearm and clothesline. Matt continues the attack with a back body drop and a Side Effect for a two count. Matt tries for a belly-to-back suplex, but Carlito floats over and hits a lungblower for a two count. Carlito slams Matt's head into the turnbuckle and then punches Matt. Carlito puts Matt on the top turnbuckle and he goes up too, but Matt knocks Carlito off. Matt with a leg drop from the second turnbuckle and then he prepares for the Twist of Fate, but Carlito pushes him into the turnbuckle. Carlito tries for a suplex, but Matt blocks it and hits the Twist of Fate for the three count.

Winner: Matt Hardy

Vince McMahon says that Eddie Guerrero was a classic performer. He will be remembered as one of the greats. He had a passion for the craft. He was a craftsman. When he was in the ring he was happy to perform for the crowd whether they cheered him or booed him. Vince says that there was one thing the he loved more than performing, and that was his family; his immediate family and his WWE family. Whether they were on the crew, in the locker room, or wherever, they were part of his familia. A lot can be said about Eddie's great performances, but Eddie was a damn good man. We go to commercial.

We are back with footage from Eddie's UPN special when he talks about how he got his family back after dealing with his personal problems.

It is time for our next match, Animal and Heidenreich versus Trevor Murdoch and Lance Cade

Michael Cole mentions that more than 100,000 e-mails were received in the first 24 hours after Eddie's death and they will be given to Vickie.

Heidenreich and Cade start things off. Cade kicks Heidenreich and connects with a forearm to his back. Cade with shoulder tackles in the corner. Heidenreich blocks a punch from Cade and connects with punches of his own and a clothesline. Murdoch with a knee to Heidenreich's back as he comes off the ropes. Heidenreich hits Cade and then Murdoch comes in and they throw Heidenreich over the top rope to the floor. Murdoch rolls Heidenreich back in for a one count. Murdoch tags in and he punches Heidenreich followed by a side Russian leg sweep. Murdoch continues the attack with an abdominal stretch. Heidenreich escapes the hold and then Murdoch punches Heidenreich. Cade tags in and he connects with a running knee in the corner. Murdoch tags in and he connects with a running knee to the corner. Cade tags back in, but Heidenreich with a spear and Animal is tagged in. Animal punches Murdoch and Cade followed by a shoulder tackle on Murdoch. Cade attacks Animal from behind, but Animal with a double clothesline to Cade and Murdoch. Murdoch is thrown out of the ring and Heidenreich with a side slam to Cade and then he hits the Doomsday Device for the three count.

Winner: Animal and Heidenreich

Booker T and Sharmell talk about how they go back to WCW and have wars in and out of the ring. They almost got into a fist fight in the locker room. Their hearts go out to Eddie's family and his girls. If they ever need help, they can go to him and Sharmell. He knows that Eddie is up there watching this and would want everyone to put on the best show possible. He knows that he will see Eddie again and he says that he loves Eddie. We go to commercial.

We are back with the part of the UPN special that talked about the Los Guerreros "Lie, Cheat, Steal" vignettes.

Big Show says that Eddie was very spiritual and was a great dad. Every time he saw Eddie around his kids, he was so full of life and joy because he was so proud of his family. Show's only comfort in losing a friend is knowing that he is with God now and all of the pain and all of the things that he endured, he is safe now and he is loved. He says that he cannot believe that Eddie is gone while he fights back tears. He says that there will never be another like Eddie. We go to commercial.

We are back with clips from the UPN special where he talked about how he grew up with wrestling and the El Paso Coliseum and how he would wrestle during intermissions.

It is time for our next match, Chavo Guerrero Junior versus Bradshaw (with Jillian Hall)

Bradshaw backs Chavo into the corner and they exchange punches with Bradshaw getting the advantage. Bradshaw with a side head lock followed by a shoulder tackle. Chavo with an arm drag and side head lock take down. Chavo holds on to Bradshaw's hair when Bradshaw tries for an Irish whip. Chavo grabs Bradshaw's hair again. Chavo does it a third time. He lets go of the side head lock and connects with a thumb to the eye followed by a punch that knocks Bradshaw out of the ring. Chavo with a pescado onto Bradshaw. Bradshaw pulls Jillian in front of him, but Chavo still punches Bradshaw. Chavo goes up top and hits a missile drop kick for a two count. Chavo goes to the top again, but Bradshaw catches him and hits the fallaway slam on Chavo. While they were enemies in the ring, they were best friends outside the ring. His first main event was at a pay per view in Los Angeles against Eddie. If not for Eddie Guerrero, Bradshaw would not have been in the main event. He was a groomsman at Bradshaw's wedding. 2006 - Roddy Piper was hospitalized due to what was believed to be an instestinal problem.  Piper was diagnosed with cancer but was thankfully able to defeat the disease.

2007 - WWE ran a Supershow in Ft Myers, Florida.  Jose Perez filed the following live report:

The show opened with Tony Chimmel welcoming everyone to the Germain Arena. He then proceeds to introduce RAW's General Manager William Regal. Regal came out and thanked everyone for being there. He then announced that Smackdown would be presenting a 3 on 2 handicap match with Finlay, MVP and Great Khali facing Batista and Kane. He then started to talk about ECW and Armando Alejandro Estrada's music hits. He comes to the ring to set up a warm up match for tomorrow's Survivor Series match. Then he decides that he won't wait until tomorrow; he would mandate that there be a triple threat match for the ECW title: Punk vs. Morrison vs. Miz. The Regal says that "to top the night off, RAW's main event will be a tag team match featuring the team of The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels!!!.... (Huge reaction from the crowd, but...) Wait, wait, wait... sorry, I'm sorry... I got confused with Estrada interrupting me. I meant to say Jeff Hardy and HHH vs. Randy Orton and Umanga..." Estrada interrupts Regal again to explain that it is not "Umanga", his name is The Samoan Bulldozer... UUUUUUmagaaaa!! Finally they go back stage and we can start the show.

1. Jesse & Festus def. Deuce & Domino (w/ Cherry) - Approx. 6 minutes

2. Mr. Kennedy def. Cody Rhodes - Approx. 8 minutes
Before the match, Kennedy comes out, stands in the middle of the ring and signals for his mic to come down. Nothing happens. He does it again with the same result. He then turned to Tony Chimmel and asks him to bring the house mic to him. Chimel brings the house mic, and drops it on Kennedy like if it was coming from the rafters. Fun spot.

3. Kofi Kingston def. Ted Dibiase Jr. - Approx. 5 minutes
Both of them need a little more work in the ring, but I had not seen Dibiase Jr in a while and he seems to be making progress. Kingston is good, but needs to manage the high spots a little better, too many of them with no time in between. The crowd liked it, but at times did not react on some good spots because they were so quick and so many consecutive ones.

4. Big Daddy V def Tommy Dreamer - Approx. 3 minutes
I feel bad for Dreamer. A few weeks ago he was the number 1 contender and now he has become ECW's jobber.

5. In a rare appearance: Jerry "The King" Lawler def. Santino Marella - Approx. 5 minutes

6. Batista & Kane def. MVP / Finlay / Great Khali - Approx. 14 minutes
There was outside interference from Hornswaggle. Once he got in the ring, he saw Kane. He then turned around and saw Khali. He tried to escape and Kane "helped him" by slamming him. The Matt Hardy came towards the ring with some crutches. MVP got distracted and that was the beginning of the end. Batista's Spinebuster on MVP, Khali and then on Finlay. Finlay pinned for the loss.

7. Beth Phoenix def. Mickey James - Approx. 7 minutes
No comments... Well, yeah, one. The women division seems to be getting worse in a hurry. Bad match. Quite a few "botched" spots. Mickey seemed very upset since the spots missed by Beth Phoenix made James look bad.

8. ECW Champ retains the title!!! Surprise!!
CM Punk def. Miz & John Morrison - Approx. 11 minutes
I just hope they give them a couple more minutes on Survivor Series. Very good match. Expect a good match on SS from these 3 guys.

9. HHH & Jeff Hardy def. Randy Orton & Umaga - Approx. 10 minutes
Hardy takes the beatdown throughout the match and HHH gets the hot tag to clean house and get a Spinebuster and Pedigree on Umaga for the CLEAN 1,2,3!!! Just one Pedigree!! Umaga is really losing his monster status.

Estimated attendance: Approx. 7,000. Almost sold out. Very few seats empty.

Stephanie reminds Cody that Orton did the same to CM Punk so they will meet tonight. It will be a thirty man lumberjack match. Randy says that it will be chaos, but Stephanie disagrees.

Santino tells Regal that he isn’t in a restaurant, but he was served. Stephanie tells Santino that he lost two rematches. Santino wonders if Akon thinks it is funny and suggests that a squirrel bite on his privates.

Bradshaw gets on the medal stand and he wants to know where Stephanie’s father is so he can talk about a person Vince has had a problem with and that is Shawn Michaels. Stephanie says that her father is out of the picture so her and Shane will control things. Shawn interrupts Stephanie and suggests that if they don’t want to wait the six days because someone got bashed in the head with a chair. What if they want their revenge tonight? Lillian Garcia introduces Chris Jericho, who comes to the ring. Chris says for the past month we have been treated to the heartwarming story of John Cena. Chris says that he is going to tell us a greater story, about him. He says in 2001, a year before John Cena debuted, he defeated the Rock to become the WCW champion. Then that same night, he defeated Steve Austin to become the WWE Champion and the first Undisputed Champion. It is a moment in time that has superseded anything that John Cena ever did.

This past September, he won the first Raw Scramble Match to win the World Title. It was a match he was not supposed to be in and it was his second match of the night. While John Cena was recuperating from a serious injury, Chris says that he has achieved greatness time and time again. He beat CM Punk in a steel cage. Two weeks later, he beat Shawn Michaels in a match that Shawn was not supposed to lose, a ladder match. Two weeks ago, in another cage match, he beat Batista to become a five time World Champion. Jericho says that he has won every conceivable match put before him. Every bit of passion, hype, pomp and circumstance has been focused on one man . . . John Cena.

John Cena has been treated as a savior or conquering hero, but Cena has never conquered him. Every time he has been challenged, he has held the title. He will not let John Cena waltz into the ring to take what is his. The centerpiece of Raw is not John Cena. It is the World Champion and that is Chris Jericho. He will end the phenomenon known as John Cena at Survivor Series. Only then will Monday Night Raw be saved.

2011 - TNA broadcast Impact Wrestling.  Stu Carapola filed the following TV report:

Welcome to the Impact Wrestling Report on PWInsider.com!

We kick off with a video package recapping Robert Roode's recent heelishness, then we're off to the arena as the World Champion, fresh off a tainted win over AJ Styles at Turning Point, comes to the ring to address his fans. He says he was the star of Fortune and was always the leader and future of this company, and he always let the rest of them ride his coattails, but there was always going to be a time when he would go out on his own and scrape them off his shoe like the pieces of crap they are. It's time for Fortune to become men and grow a set, because Bobby Roode will not let them stand in his shadow any longer. James Storm's music hits and he comes out to the top of the ramp to have a word with his former partner. He's not the kind of redneck to stand in the shadow of a dumbass, and he wants an excuse for why Roode jumped him, and if he doesn't get it in three seconds, he's going to put his beer down, come to the ring, and kick his ass. Roode doesn't respond, so Storm starts walking and THEN Roode says to wait and has security hold him back while Roode says he didn't jump Storm. He wouldn't have to stoop so low to beat him, and he was in the locker room the entire time and there were a bunch of guys there to vouch for him. Storm says he's going to find out tonight who jumped him, and Roode's guilty by association so he's going to kick his ass for the hell of it. Storm is again restrained by security, and AJ comes out of the crowd and attacks Roode from behind as security leaves Storm and runs into the ring to pull AJ off of Roode. AJ gets a microphone, and we'll hear from him...NEXT!

AJ tells Roode that he turns his back on Fortune and screws them in the process and that makes him a piece of trash. AJ thought putting his foot down Roode's throat would satisfy him, but it didn't because Roode can take a hit, but what would make AJ feel a lot better would be beating him for the World Title. Roode says he already beat him fair and square in the middle of the ring and it's time for AJ to go back to the trailer park and work his way back up because he could have beaten AJ all night long. Security is going nuts trying to pull them apart as Sting comes out of the back and says he's feeling extra crazy tonight, and he's going to let Storm recover tonight, and since Roode thinks he can beat AJ all night long, we'll test that theory at Final Resolution when he defends the title against AJ in a 30 minute Ironman match. Oh, and by the way, did he mention that AJ is a former Grand Slam Champion?

We go to Taz and Mike Tenay to intro tonight's show, but quickly cut back to ringside as an irate Bobby Roode goes after Dixie Carter in the front row. AJ comes to make the save, but Roode throws Dixie at AJ and sends them both tumbling to the floor and repeatedly punches AJ in the head while Dixie is pinned underneath him until Sting and security come out and pull him off.

We go backstage where Samoa Joe comes up to James Storm and says he should listen to his buddies because he saw Roode backstage the whole time. Storm asks Joe if he had something to do with it, and Joe says he didn't because if he came after Storm, he wouldn't get back up. He shoves Storm in the head, and Storm responds by going after Joe until security (who is having a very busy night so far) again has to come forcibly separate them.

Now Bobby Roode is walking around backstage and Sting comes up to him and shoves him into the wall. Attacking Dixie Carter is like attacking him, and tonight, we're doing things his way. Roode says if Sting puts his hands on him like that again, he's going to get his lawyers to sue him for everything he's got.

To the ring for our opening match...

TV Title Match: Robbie E vs Devon

Devon just tears into Robbie right from the opening bell, taking him out with clotheslines and then beating him down in the corner. Devon hits a running clothesline into the corner and a flying shoulderblock followed by a side suplex for 2. Robbie T jumps on the apron to try and distract Devon, but Devon sees Robbie E coming and dumps him over the top rope. The Pope comes down to ringside and gets into it with Robbie E as Devon tosses Robbie E back into the ring and Robbie T lays out the Pope. Devon gets a neckbreaker as Robbie T goes after Devon's kids, and Eric Youngcomes out and nails Rob Terry with a chair. Devon's kids jump the rail as Devon hits a spinebuster on Robbie, but Devon forgoes the cover to go yell at his kids. Robbie takes the opportunity to roll Devon up for 3.

Winner: Robbie E

Devon grabs his kids by the neck, but they shove him off and go to check on the Pope as Devon just looks speechless.

We go backstage where Sting asks Garret Bischoff how he pulled off what he did last week with Gunner, and Garret says he might not be as green as his dad thought. He asks Sting for an opportunity, and Sting says he'd think about it. Garret walks off as Matt Morgan and Crimson walkby laughing about kicking each other's asses at Turning Point. Sting says since there's no good teams in the company right now, how about the two of them team up and challenge Mexican America for the title tonight? Crimson says he's in, but Morgan is noncommittal. Sting says to say so if he's scared, but Morgan thinks a moment longer and says he's in.

Ric Flair is backstage complaining to Eric Bischoff about something when Sting comes in to tell Bischoff he rewrote his contract. Bischoff says he's a man of his word and he let Sting rewrite it, but that's as far as it got because he never said he'd sign it. Sting says he can't get rid of him, though he could just drop him on his head on the concrete and he wouldn't get up for a month. But instead, he says that Garett wanted to get back in the ring with Gunner, and eventually he'll have his hands around Eric's neck because unlike Eric, Garett can wrestle. Eric can be in Gunner's corner, but he'll be in Garett's corner.

Kid Kash & Austin Aries vs Jesse Sorensen & Brian Kendrick

Sorensen was a house of fire right from the start, going after Kash and wiping him out with a pair of high knees. Kash tried to pop Sorensen into the air, but Sorensen came down with a Rocker Dropper and came off the top with a flying bodypress for a VERY close 2. Kendrick tags in and gets Kash in a camel clutch so Sorensen can come off the ropes with a baseball slide to the face for 2. Kendrick with a dropkick to Kash and a flying forearm, but Kash dodged a dive off the second rope and Kendrick hit the mat hard. Kash went to tag Aries, but Aries refused to tag out and Kendrick small packages Kash for 2. Kendrick dropkicks Kash out to the floor and wipes him out with a slingshot dive over the ropes as Aries lures Sorensen into the ring so he can hit a heat seeking missile through the ropes onto Kendrick. Kendrick kicks Aries off and tries an enziguiri, but Aries ducks and fires Kendrick head first into the middle turnbuckle. He tags in Kash and they have words long enough for Kendrick to crawl over and tag in Sorensen, who takes Kash out with dropkicks and a Northern Lights suplex for 2. Kash catches Sorensen with a right hand and goes to tag Aries again, and tags him with a slap to the face. Aries gets into the ring and immediately tags right back out and drops off the apron to head for the back. Kash is by himself now and misses a top rope moonsault, and Sorensen finishes with a rolling neckbreaker.

Winners: Brian Kendrick & Jesse Sorensen

Karen Jarrett walks into her crew's locker room and congratulates Gail Kim on her win, giving her the night off, then sends Madison to the ring while telling Traci to pour wine for everyone except herself.

James Storm is backstage and walks in on Ken Anderson playing XBox360 and says he suspects Anderson of jumping him since he's an asshole. Anderson does some usual goofiness at first, then gets serious and says that if he was going to jump Storm, he'd see it coming. He asks Storm if he wants to play, and Storm is all like "Yeah, that'd be awesome!" and then yanks out the power cord and walks off.

10-Woman Knockouts Gauntlet

Velvet Sky and Rosita start us out and Rosita is getting up in Velvet's face, so she starts off by kicking Rosita and hitting a Pedigree for 3.

Rosita is eliminated.

Brooke Tessmacher is next and takes Velvet out with a clothesline and dropkick, then puts the boots to Velvet in the corner. Brooke stinkfaces Velvet and then tears her shirt off, but wastes too much time being proud of herself and Velvet bulldogs and eliminates her.

Brooke Tessmacher is eliminated.

Angelina Love is next as the former Beautiful People go at it. Angelina boots Velvet and clotheslines her, then hits a series of slams and a World's Skinniest Slam for 2. Velvet gets her boot up as Angelina charges her, hits a series of kneesmashes to the face, but Angelina blocks another Pedigree and rolls her up with a handful of tights for 3.

Velvet Sky is eliminated.

Mickie James is out next and Angelina goes to the outside and lays her out with the Botox Injection as we go to commercial.

Okay, we're back and Angelina is beating Mickie up in the ring and hits a side suplex for 2. Mickie comes back with clotheslines and goes for the DDT, Angelina escapes and Mickie knocks her out with a spinkick for 3.

Angelina Love is eliminated.

Sarita is our next contestant and is a better worker than 100% of the other girls in this match, which means she'll probably be eliminated in less than 90 seconds. Sarita with a nice spinning kick and a weird spinning move that Mickie counters to a crucifix for 2. Sarita with a near side cradle for 2, then unloads on Mickie with an open hand chop and she tries a springboard move, but Mickie ducks and hits the leaping DDT for 3.

Sarita is eliminated.

Tara is next and she immediately takes Mickie down with a waistlock and gets the Last Chancery, but Mickie reverses to a hammerlock with a bridge. Tara armdrags her way out and goes for the Widow's Peak, Mickie tries to sunset flip out, but Tara locks Mickie in a heel hook. Mickie escapes, and Tara hits the standing, gyrating moonsault for 2 and then hangs Mickie upside down in the corner. Mickie sits up to dodge a charge and hits another leaping DDT to eliminate Tara.

Tara is eliminated.

Winter is out next and Mickie looks beat. Winter ramms Mickie hard into the corner and hits a Northern Lights suplex for 2, then immediately cradles Mickie right onto her shoulders for another 2. Winter with a spinning side backbreaker and stretches Mickie over her knee, but Mickie kneestrikes her way out of the hold. Winter Tullys Mickie onto the second rope and goes for a firewoman's carry, but Mickieslips out and spinkicks Winter for another 3.

Winter is eliminated.

ODB is out next and Mickie is in trouble. ODB bowls right over Mickie and hits a fallaway slam, splashes her in the corner, and gives her the Bronco Buster. ODB with a folding cradle for 2 and then sits Mickie up top, but Mickie shoves her offand hits a top rope Thesz Press for 3.

ODB is eliminated.

Madison Rayne is next, but ODB destroys Mickie and gives her a TKO as Madison slowly strides down the ramp while waving at the crowd. Madison takes forever to get in, and Mickie just rolls her up and gets the win.

Winner: Mickie James

So Mickie James singlehandedly went through six girls by herself. Right.

Bully Ray is backstage shooting down some poor girl with orange hair and telling her how busted she is, but James Storm comes in and accuses Bubba of jumping him. Bubba says he'd love to have laid Storm out, but Bubba says his hands are a little full with Abyss and didn't want to bother with him. He will tell Storm, however, that he knows who jumped him and he's here tonight. Storm goes to walk off, but Bubba calls him back and offers to let him join Immortal, but Storm says his chances of joining Immortal are about Bubba's chances of getting laid. Okay then!

Jeff Hardy is backstage, and he's...WALKING!

Garret Bischoff is backstage saying he's happy he got what he wanted, and tonight he's going to finish the job against Gunner.

Jeff Hardy comes to the ring and says it's great to be back here on Impact, and he promises that he'll always be here for us. With that said, it's time to set his sights on that World Title. Before he gets too far down that road, Karen Jarrett's music hits and she comes storming out to ask him if he seriously is looking for another shot at the World Title. Karen watched Hardy walk out here and thought that somebody with some balls needs to put her in her place, and we all know she's got the biggest set here. If Hardy thinks he's going to walk in here with his puppy dog eyes and beg for forgiveness, that's not what a man is. She slaps Hardy in the face and says to look at her when she's talking to him. She's not here to fight Jeff's battles because he can do that on his own since he wears the pants in their family, but if Hardy thinks being a man is showing up at Turning Point and using his...tactics to win matches, then he needs to step upand be a man before trying to be any kind of role model. Karen says Jeff was the one man in the business with the set to start a company and give people like Jeff another place to work, and he's forgetting that his wife Beth and her were friends...or at least Karen played the game and got Beth to tell her everything, including how Hardy couldn't quite deliver the goods and complete the deal. Okay, so Karen's basically saying Jeff is sexually dysfunctional so we'll just cut to the chase and skip to Karen daring Hardy to hit her, andHardy says she's more than a man and more than human because Karen and Jeff are two angry bitches. Karen goes to slap him, but Hardy grabs her arm and says they're the creatures of the night. Jeff comes out of the crowd to try and jump Hardy, but Hardy sees him coming and Karen tries to lowblow Hardy from behind, hecatches her arm, but Jeff nails him. Hardy fights Jarrett off and Karen hits the trail with him.

Mexican America is backstage saying it doesn't matter who they're facing, because...well, Sarita says stuff in Spanish I don't understand. They defend the title next.

Ric Flair and Eric Bischoff are backstage telling Gunner that he has to go out there tonight and destroy Garett Bischoff, don't worry about anything, just go out there and hurt him.

World Tag Team Title Match: Mexican America vs Crimson & Matt Morgan

Crimson and Anarquia start us off and Crimson dominates with a back elbow and vertical suplex for 2. Crimson with a three quarter nelson with kneestrikes to the skull and a rolling neckbreaker for 2. Hernandez lays Crimson out with a clothesline from the floor and Anarquia pounces, firing off right hands and then tagging Hernandez in to hit a hard bodyslam and cover for 2. Mexican America with the Beverly Drop for 2, then Anarquia getsa chinlock. Hernandez gets in and gets a head vice, then flattens Crimson with a Pounce for 2 and goes back to the neck vice. Hernandez tags in and Crimson spears him out of his shoes and makes the hot tag to Morgan, who comes in and plows through both Anarquia and Hernandez. Morgan with a fallaway slam to Hernandez, thena corner clothesline on Anarquia, one for Hernandez, and a chokeslam for Anarquia for 2. Hernandez goes after Morgan and beats him down in the corner, but Morgan lays both members of Mexican America out with a double clothesline. Crimson comes in to neutralize Hernandez and clothesline him to the outside, then hits an exploder suplex on Anarquia. Morgan with the Carbon Footprint and we have new champions!

Winners and NEW World Tag Team Champions: Matt Morgan & Crimson

James Storm is backstage and says he knows who jumped him backstage, and he's going to out him after this next match. Speaking of the next match, Sting and Garret Bischoff are backstage, and they're...CHATTING!

It's main event time...I guess...

Gunner vs Garret Bischoff

As promised, Sting, Eric Bischoff, and Ric Flair are all at ringside. Garret ducks a shot and comes off the ropes with a flying forearm. Gunner backs off and circles Garret, then Garrett ducks again and fires off kicks and punches before Gunner just picks Garrett up and dumps him. Garret misses an elbowdrop, and Gunner rips his head off with a clothesline. Gunner with back elbows in the corner and then tries to twist Garret's head off right in his father's face as Eric tears into his son from ringside. Garret dodges a corner charge, but Gunner picks him up and tosses him across the ring. Gunner's shoulder seems to be hurt, but Eric grabs his son's foot from ringside as Gunner hits a charging clothesline in the corner and a HARD back suplex. Gunner with shoulderblocks to the midsection in the corner as I notice that Garret is wearing F'n Converse All Stars as he either spears or belly-to-belly suplexes Gunner (I turned my head for a second and missed which) and gets the win.

Winner: Garret Bischoff

Sting raises Garret's hand, and then we go to James Storm as he's backstage, and he's...WALKING!

James Storm comes out to the ring and says it doesn't matter where he goes or what he accomplishes, just because he talks with a twang in his slang and wears cowboy boots and jeans, people look down on him and pass him over for someone who's more "correct". This is professional wrestling and he's been doing it for 15 years, he is the Cowboy James Storm, and he's as tough as they come. He doesn't come out here and pretend to be tough because he's been in bar fights, he's been to jail, and he's been in it every day of his life, and right now he's going to blame everyone in the back for what happened to him, and right now, he wants AJ Styles to come out to the ring. AJ comes out and asks Storm if he's kidding him, and Storm says he called him out here to tell him exactly what he thinks. AJ says that after everything with Roode tonight, he thinks AJ jumped him? He checked on Storm at the hospital, he called him at home, and he's so paranoid that he doesn't know what's going on? Storm says he's so paranoid that AJ weaseled his way into not one, but two title shots against Robert Roode. AJ says Sting made the matches, not him,and he didn't jump Storm and he's done talking about it. They get into a shoving match, but Frankie Kazarian comes out and shoves them both off and tells AJ to get lost because this is over. Kazarian leaves with AJ as Storm's music hits and he stands in the ring looking really paranoid.

Storm goes to leave when Kurt Angle comes out of nowhere and attacks Storm from behind, then rams his already concussed head into the ring steps. Angle throws Storm into the ring and hits the Angle Slam, then takes a microphone and tells Storm that he found him: guilty as charged. When Storm wakes up, he wants him to go tell his daughter that he was the one who gave daddy a concussion.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we talk about the Miz. He is not one to shy from the camera and we go to outtakes from a television commercial he filmed for his bucket list.

Miz tried to beat the Rock at last year’s Survivor Series. Let’s go to some Survivor Series memories in the Video Vault.

Last year, Miz and R Truth faced John Cena and The Rock but Miz fell short in his chance to beat the Rock.

Madison Square Garden was where Rock debuted in 1996 at the Survivor Series.

The next year, we saw the most infamous moment in WWE history when Bret Hart faced Shawn Michaels at the Montreal Screwjob.

The traditional matches have provided a lot. Shawn Michaels and his Knights versus the Harts, Raw versus Smackdown, or WWE versus The Alliance.

Survivor Series is the WWE Fall staple.

The Intercontinental Title is another staple in the WWE.

The current champion, Kofi Kingston is the focus of the Saturday Morning Spotlight.

Chili says that Kofi is always smiling so you have to smile with him.

Kofi says that people consider him a high flyer, but he just jumps.

Layla says that people stop and stare and he has a lot of jaw dropping moves.

Kofi says that he wants to be like an explosion, so that is why he says ‘Boom, Boom, Boom’ in the ring.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Two: Zack Ryder versus Kofi Kingston in a Non-Title Match

They shake hands at the start of the match and then they lock up. Kofi with a clean break and Kofi ‘booms’ for the crowd. Kofi pulls Ryder’s head band over his eyes and Ryder runs into the ropes and falls down. Kofi with a rollup for a near fall.

They lock up again and Ryder with a waist lock. Kofi with a standing switch. Ryder and Kofi with more standing switches until Ryder sends Kofi into the turnbuckles. Ryder sets for the Broski Boot but Kofi goes to the floor. Ryder tries for a pescado but Kofi moves and Ryder lands on his feet. Kofi tries for a pescado of his own but he sees Ryder move so Kofi lands on the apron.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Ryder with a body scissors on Kofi and Kofi turns it into a catapult that sends Ryder to the apron. Ryder with a shoulder and then he gets a near fall on a rollup. Ryder and Kofi go back and forth and get a near fall. Kofi tries for the leaping back elbow but Ryder sees it coming and Ryder with a rollup for a near fall.

Kofi misses a splash into the corner and Ryder gets a near fall. Ryder focuses on the midsection and he applies a waist lock. Ryder with a flapjack and he gets a near fall. Ryder stretches Kofi but Kofi gets to his feet but Ryder forces Kofi to his knee. Kofi tries to reverse but Ryder follows through and maintains the hold. We go to credits.

2012 - Wrestling is Fun presented a free iPPV from Allentown, PA.  Joshua Higham filed the following live report:

Wrestling is Fun presents “Bananaversary”
smvod.com free-per-view
West End Youth Center, Allentown, PA
Nov 17, 2012

Kobald vs. Fire Ant - Normal toilet paper streamers for Kobald during the ring introductions. Fire Ant pulls Kobald around the crowd allowing some fans to chop the demon. An Obariyon distraction allows Kobald to schoolboy Fire Ant with a handful of tights to get the win. Kobald steals a fan’s hat in celebration.

Sidney Bakabella takes the mic, and claims his Devastation Corporation would be collecting the bounty on Kerry von Erich to return him to Fritz. Then, Sidney Bakabella brings out two young men, Robert Backlund Jr and James Garvin Jr., to give them their “opportunity” since the Flames of Love could not make the show. (See http://youtu.be/jtlgvFBpN3M for the explanation for the Flames of Love’s absence.) which leads to...

Robert Backlund Jr. and James Garvin Jr. vs. The Devastation Corporation - Squash match. Death blow on Backlund Jr. for the win.

assailANT vs. Hallowicked - Hallowicked gets the win with the Rydeen bomb. No commentary until halfway through the match. Hallowicked was really favoring his knee as he made his exit.

Jaka vs. Gran Akuma - Jaka forces Akuma to submit with a form of gogoplata, called Jaguar Jaws. (Thanks, Twitter.)

Icarus vs. Dasher Hatfield - Icarus walks to the ring with something big zipped up in his jacket. The Icarus tattoo didn’t show itself until five or six minutes into the match. Dasher gets the win with a super Oklahoma roll, but Icarus hits a Wings of Icarus after the bell. Since they also wrestle in New York at Cibernetico.

Intermission time.

Juan Francisco de Coronado vs. Green Ant - This is an rematch of sorts, after Green Ant defeated the former Johnny Ego months ago, which sent de Coronado on his voyage of self-discovery. de Coronado gets the submission win with the Kondo clutch. Funny moment post-match when Manuel Cervanto, de Coronado’s personal attendant, Purell-s Bryce Remsburg’s hands before he could raise de Coronado’s hand. de Coronado got into an argument with a fan at ringside before leaving the arena.

Kodama vs. The Estonian Thunderfrog - More toilet paper for the members of the Batiri. The Batiri uses some twin magic to give Kodama the advantage. Another disqualification win for the Thunderfrog when Kobald threw him in to the ringpost. The Batiri starts a beatdown, but get chased off by the Latvian Great Oak.

Banana Championship: Mr. Touchdown defends against Mike Quackenbush - Veronica accompanied Touchdown to the ring, which was the bit of contention for Quackenbush at the last show. To counter her, Quackenbush introduced Dasher Hatfield to come to ringside. Hatfield and Quackenbush collided on the apron, allowing Veronica to attempt to interfere. That backfired, so Quackenbush was able to hit a superplex from the top. Despite taking the effects of the superplex, Mr. Touchdown cradles Quack’s legs and lift a shoulder to avoid a double pin. Touchdown retains the Banana Championship. Touchdown and Veronica gloat in the ring to end the show.

Notes: The stream started roughly 25 minutes late. The live crowd looked to be the biggest yet for that building. Commentary rotated with Bryce Remsburg, Steve “The Turtle” Weiner, Sidney Bakabella, Gavin Loudspeaker, Dasher Hatfield, and Leonard F. Chikarason. Dan Yost, Jon Barber, and Bryce Remsburg handled referee duties.
Return date announced for December 29 at the same venue. Banana Security had a rough night, taking a couple spills from diving wrestlers. The quality of the stream was good, for a free show, but fans will be less forgiving, if similar things happen during the Chikara iPPV in two weeks.

2012 - Extreme Rising presented Remember November on iPPV from Monaca, PA.  Mike Johnson filed the following report:

Robby Mireno welcomed everyone to the show. The crowd was razzing him for not being Joey Styles, so Mireno crapped on them back. Joel Gertner came out and said that there are a lot of other things the fans could have spent their money on any other type of entertainment but they were here and he thanked them on behalf of everyone in the back. Gertner said he was trying to get write-in votes for President in recent months and said that had he been elected, he would have changed the national anthem, singing an X-rated version of "My Country Tis of Thee."

Ronnie Lang's Atlas Security is in the house.

Your winner, Jay Bradley!

Good opener. Both looked good.

York got a nice round of applause as he headed to the back.

Papadon demanded the audience get down on their knee showing him respect. Big pop for Richards.

Richards blocked it and nailed a Flatliner, then locked on a triangle choke. Papadon tapped.

Your winner, Stevie Richards!

Another good match. I wish they could have had another ten minutes as they were really just starting to click but this was enjoyable.

The crowd chanted "You tapped out" at Papadon as he and Richards faced off. Papadon offered his hand. Stevie took it and Papadon tried to clothesline him. Richards ducked and nailed the Steviekick.

Extreme Rising Championship Tournament: Luke Hawx vs. Perry Saturn

Saturn went through the crowd so Hawx took the mic and asked whether he came to wrestle or not. He ripped on the fans and Saturn. Hawx said that at one time, Saturn was half of one of the best tag teams in the world, but it's a shame the one with all the talent died. Ouch.

Saturn attacked him and began drilling Hawx with knee and slams. Saturn was whipped into the ropes but ducked a clothesline and nailed Hawx with a neckbreaker. He stomped Hawx and dropped a knee really low.

Hawx cut off Saturn and nailed a series of knees across his back. He cinched in a rear chinlock. Saturn fought him off but was caught with a dropkick. Hawx continued battling back and forth with Saturn.

Saturn tried to pick up and slam Hawx, who used an armbar submission to take Saturn down to the mat. Hawx worked over his arm and slammed Saturn. Hawx went for a springboard moonsault off the ropes but it didn't connect perfectly, which the crowd picked up on. Saturn made a comeback with a sitdown powerbomb for a two count.

Hawx cut off Saturn with a necktie neckbreaker for a two count but was caught out of nowhere with a Death Valley Driver. Saturn covered him but Hawx turned it into a submission attempt and forced Saturn to tap. The submission didn't get over with the crowd.

Your winner, Luke Hawx!

Hawx mocked the crowd, asking where their "You tapped out" chant was.

Match was OK. They worked as hard as they could but Saturn is pretty limited in what he can do these days.

Balls Mahoney and The Blue Meanie, Blue Balls, came out. Out came a team called Da Lost Boys who said they are tired of hearing all about how hardcore they are and dared them to fight. They poured broken glass out of a trash can and dipped their fists in it.

Balls said he doesn't know who they are but 15 years ago, he was in a main event here in this building. He said he came out to have fun but now they are ruining that. He asked if they want a Taipei death match that is fine and asked someone to bring him tape to tape his fists. The fans chanted "Where's the tape?"

Balls ended up drilling both with punches as the fans chanted Balls name. Balls kicked a heavier Lost Boy in the groin. He raked glass across his forehead. Meanie brawled around ringside with the other one. Balls began jabbing the Lost Boy in the head with a spike (I think) and slammed the other one across the broken glass.

Meanie hit a sitdown powerslam on Lost Boy #2. That got an ECW chant. Mahoney headbutt #1 in the head but the broken glass hurt Balls as well. Balls nailed him after grabbing a handful of broken glass. Balls grabbed a steel chair and nailed one of them with a chair, then killed the other one (who didn't put his hands up, Geez).

The Boys were put on top of each other. Meanie came off the top with a big splash and pinned them both.

Your winners, Team Blue Balls.

They lost the momentum of the show when the Lost Boys came out. They had no real look and the second they came out the entire crowd had a collective "WTF?" This was your pretty basic weapons brawl but didn't have any of the frenzied energy of say a New Jack brawl. The crowd loved seeing Balls and Meanie but this wasn't much overall. This came off as something that wasn't needed at all. I'm all for a good bloody death match but this served no purpose in my mind.

Facade vs. Bestia 666

They billed Facade as the Neon Ninja. This is his Rising debut.

They went back and forth with some wrestling and reversals. They had a nice series of near falls early. Bestia took him down with a hammerlock. Facade used a springboard backflip to break it, then nailed a headstand into a head scissor takedown. He teased a dive but landed on the apron. He charged Bestia but had his legs taken out from under him. Bestia nailed a rana off the apron to the floor. Nice spot.

Bestia pulled a table out from under the ring. Facade cut him off. They battled back into the ring. Bestia nailed a cradledriver for a two count. He went to the outside to retrieve a chair but was nailed with a spinkick before he could use it. Facade nailed an inverted atomic drop and followed up with a second.

Facade nailed spinkick to take Bestia out. He went for a kick but was blocked, so he turned it into a spinning roundhouse kick. Facade nailed a springboard into a forward flip to the outside. The crowd chanted ECW for two guys who never worked for the company.

Facade rolled Bestia back in for a two count. He went to use the chair and paid homage to Sabu, pointing to the lights. The crowd rejected that. Bestia cut him as Facade went to the top, throwing the chair into his face. Facade fell to the floor.

Bestia nailed a Skytwister Press over the top to the floor on Facade. The crowd chanted "This is awesome." Bestia slid a table into the ring as Facade tried to recover. Bestia kicked him and went for a suplex but Facade nailed him with a knee while upside down. Facade came off the ropes with a springboard kick to the chest. He followed that up with a running knee to the face for another two count.

Facade set up the table, looking to put Bestia through it. He placed Bestia on the center turnbuckle and nailed several chops. He placed the table in front of the corner, which even the announcers noted would be telegraphing his plans. Bestia and Facade countered several moves. Facade slammed Bestia's head into the table.

Facade went back to the top and pulled Bestia up. They battled back and forth. Bestia caught him with a Spanish Fly through the table and scored the pin.

Your winner, Bestia 666!

Good match with some nice spots. This was a match that really run over the live crowd, who have not been kind to the non-ECW talents. I really liked the dives and the finish. Good stuff.

The FBI, Little Guido & Tony Mamaluke vs. BLK OUT

Jeez and Ruckus attacked the FBI as they were playing to the crowd. They worked over Mamaluke early. Guido pulled Jeez out of the ring and Mamaluke fought off Ruckus. Guido tried to nail them with a dive but missed. They went to work over Guido but Mamaluke hit an awesome forward flip off the top to the floor.

Back in the ring, The FBI double teamed Jeez as Robby Mireno got a few funny lines in asking whether Billy Robinson and The Malenkos would ever do double elbows. Jeez fought back but was cut off with a snapmare. Mamaluke tagged in and kicked Jeez. They continued to control Jeez, tagging in and out.

Ruckus made the hot tag and hit some flashy offense on Mamaluke for several two counts. Jeez and Ruckus now tagged in and out. Jeez tagged Mamaluke with a series of right hands. The crowd chanted for Jeez to pull his pants up, so he ripped them off, revealing his short tights underneath. That was funny.

Mamaluke fired back but was cut off by Jeez. Jeez locked him in a bow and arrow. Ruckus hit the ring and kicked Mamaluke while he was trapped. Guido grabbed Ruckus and took him down with an armbar and a double stomp. Mamaluke almost made a tag but Jeez shot him down.

Jeez whipped Mamaluke into the ropes and drilled him with a knee to the mid-section. Jeez ascended to the top but was distracted ripping on the crowd. He finally leapt off the top but Mamaluke dropkicked him in the chest on the way down. Mamaluke made the hot tag to Guido, who cleaned house on Ruckus and Jeez.

Jeez nailed a leaping Flatliner but Mamaluke grabbed him and drilled him with a move that dumped him on his head. Ruckus nailed the Afterburner on Mamaluke. Mamaluke sent Jeez into the buckles. He went for a tornado DDT on Ruckus but turned it into a front chancery hanging choke.

Jeez grabbed a chair but Guido grabbed it. The referee was distracted by Guido having the chair and took it away. That allowed BLK OUT to double team Mamaluke for the win.

Your winners, BLK OUT!

Jeez took the mic and said it's all about the BLK OUT. This brought out New Jack and Thomas Rodman, with weapons. Jack tossed a trash can into the ring with weapons. Jack tossed Jeez into the crowd and worked him over.

Meanwhile, the FBI worked over Ruckus and threw him into the guard rail. They joined Jack in the crowd and held Jeez for him to work over, then worked him over himself. They placed Jeez on a table.

Jack climbed to the top of some bleachers that were closed and dove off but came up short and the table didn't break. Undaunted, New Jack ran back and killed Jeez with an evil looking diving elbow through the table. That never ceases to be an insane sight.

Jack took the mic and asked how many years it has been since he heard his motherf***ers from Pittsburgh. He said when he hit Jeez the first time, he went back up because he knows the fans paid to see it. He said that in 3 weeks, he'll be 50 and will be the meaning f***ing 50 year old you will ever see in your life. The crowd chanted "Thank you New Jack."

Jack said that they wanted to get what's left of the Extreme back on the road. He said that he'll never short change the fans and he'll carry the company on his back like Shane Douglas did the original ECW because he's New Jack. I think that's what he said. The mic wasn't easy to make out. After all that, Jack brought a young white kid in the ring and had him make the "X" sign with his hands. The man is still charismatic.

Jeez was stretchered out.

The tag match itself was fine but never really got out of first gear. The crowd loved the New Jack stuff.

Raven came out and said that people probably wonder why he's here when he trashed the show the first time. He said that Extreme should have died when it did and it doesn't need to come back. He said no one needs to be here. He said that it was a revolution at the time and it can't be done again. He said that it was his genius that allowed Paul Heyman to do what he did.

Raven said that because he isn't lending his genius to it. He realizes that if you can't beat em, join 'em and he'll destroy it from the inside. He said that he'll do whatever he can and use whatever weapons he has to do it. He said that he was supposed to fight Gary Wolfe but Wolfe was "too much of a p***y" to show up, so now that he's explained himself, he's leaving.

Raven got all the way to the locker room when Stevie Richards came out and backed him back to the ring. Raven asked him what he has to say. Richards said he wanted to say what everyone is thinking, "shut the f*** up." He said that he's disgusted by Raven and said that Raven can still call him kid but he's a man and he's going to be the first Extreme Rising champion.

Raven said if that's the case, he's going to take the belt and spank Stevie the way he always has. Richards said that's the problem, he just wanted to take down something good and positive. He said that he's going to carry the company and do more than Raven ever did in his career. Richards said that they haven't wrestled since 1997. Raven said that he won. Richards said that he did, but isn't it time for a rematch.

Richards challenged Raven to face him in a Loser Leaves Town match, saying if he can't beat Raven, he doesn't want to be here. Raven accepted and began to walk out. Richards said he wanted the match right now. Raven said that if he does...and nailed Richards with the mic.

Raven vs. Stevie Richards

Raven said they aren't going to have a match but a fight. He choked Richards and beat him with a series of right hands in the corner. Richards came back with a series of right hands when a bunch of wrestlers hit the ring. They said it was the new Flock.

Richards began nailing Steviekicks and a Steviebomb. Raven disappeared from the scene. Richards asked where he was and said that when he's done, the fans will never, ever have to see Raven again.

Hardy brought a table into the ring with the help of Sky. Hardy went to the top but Luke Hawx hit the scene and shoved Hardy off to the floor. Hawx attacked Shane. Saturn hit the ring for the save. Papadon hit the ring and attacked Saturn. Balls Mahoney hit the ring with a series of rights. Homicide hit the ring and attacked Balls. They tossed Shane from the ring.

Enter Sandman began playing. Guess who?

Sandman walked out of the locker room and circled the ring. They jumped him as he entered but Sandman made a comeback and started caning everyone in sight. He left with Balls and Saturn.

Homicide, who hid away from the cane shots, attacked Shane and kept working over him with a series of rights. He used a stick to rip at Shane's forehead. Sandman's music hit again and he returned. Homicide backed off then faced off with Sandman in the ring. They went nose to nose. Saturn returned and nailed Homicide. Sandman caned him.

Douglas grabbed Homicide on the floor and powerbombed him through a table on the floor.

Hardy appeared to get hurt and was down on the floor for a long time during all this. Douglas took the mic and put over Hardy for being a warrior and a tough man, saying he has the talent to carry Extreme Rising.

The show went off the air with Hardy on the floor with a slew of people around him. Hopefully he's OK. He was sitting up but then laid back down.

2013 - DGUSA ran Brooklyn, NY.  Mike Johnson filed the following report:

Dragon Gate USA returned to Brooklyn, NY at the Lyceum last night. I was told it was a really good show.

I see a lot of live wrestling obviously but I was bummed I missed last night as it was Chris Hero challenging for DGUSA champion Johnny Gargano and I am told they had a great match with some awesome storytelling in the ring. There was a great spot where Gargano hit the Pedigree and Hero kicked out at one, then went nuts with offense, obviously a nod to his WWE release. The place came unglued for that. After the bout, they did an angle where AR Fox came out and offered Hero a shot at the EVOLVE title. Hero apparently cut a really good promo after the match and at some point, got cut as he was bleeding hardway.

Before the match they had a "roast" for Gargano in honor of his two year anniversary as DGUSA champ. I was told by two people the segment didn't work.

Other results from the show:

*The Young Bucks defeated Masaaki Mochizuki & AR Fox in what was said to be a big-time highspots oriented bout. They demanded a rematch, which led to the Bravados coming out and attacking them, so this may have been a double turn. If they allow the Bucks to keep their edge, it'll work for sure. In some ways, The Bravados winning the belts was probably the best thing Gabe Sapolsky has booked in a year. They are vastly improved in-ring workers since going to Europe but since they don't do the 10,000 moves a second DGUSA flashy spots and aren't the Young Bucks (who the crowd adores), they the first thing to get some legitimate anger out of the DGUSA fans since, well, ever. Their title win in Queens was a mix of legitimate shock and anger from the crowd.

*Rich Swann defeated Trent Baretta. Said to be a sick match in terms of just insane pro wrestling and near falls. Swann, if his health holds up and the right person spots him, will be the Rey Mysterio Jr. of the next generation - he's got great charisma and timing and some unique moves. His "All Night Long" entrance and dancing brings the house up in a way that Public Enemy's entrance did a generation ago in Philadelphia. Baretta's release from WWE really was WWE's loss as he's had awesome matches everywhere from NYC to Tokyo since departing.

*Tony Nese defeated Ricochet in what was said to have been a great match. Nese's confidence is way up after working in Dragon Gate in Japan for three weeks. Su Young is awesome as a manager and reminds me a lot of Francine in ECW. Lots of back and forth wrestling and some crazy aerial stuff from Ricochet. Mr. A is just perfect in his role.

*The Bravados defeated Caleb Konley & Andrew Everett vs Jigsaw & Fire Ant in a Three-Way Dance. This was said to be good. Jigsaw and Ant work hard. Everett really showed some good personality and Konley is a workhorse. Jigsaw laid out Ant and turned heel after the match. They also did an angle before the show where Larry Dallas, who can't get it in his head that Konley is through with him, tried to reconcile and got the crap kicked out of him.

*Jimmy Susumu defeated Chuck Taylor. Said to be a fun match with some comedy early before they got into the back and forth athletics and near falls.

*Mr. Touchdown pinned Jervis Cottonbelly. Touchdown has a great look and gimmick and looks good in the ring. I really expect he'll get a lot of attention in the next few years. Mostly comedy.

*Jon Davis killed Steven Walters in the opener. There were some iPPV issues both nights with the feeds being choppy. Part of the issue with iPPV is that when you are using the lines in the venue, you are only going to get what they can provide and since DGUSA is running tiny venues not made to host iPPVs, well, sometimes the quality control is going to lay an egg and that's apparently what happened. It's frustrating for all involved, obviously. The promotion offered a free VOD showing to those who ordered the show.

2014 - Luke Harper defeated Dolph Ziggler to become the new Intercontinental champion as part of a Raw broadcast.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV report:

We begin this week’s show with a look back at Ryback’s apparent refusal to join Team Authority.

We are in Roanoke, Virginia and your announcers are Jerry Lawler, John Layfield, and Michael Cole.

Team Authority makes their way to the ring and Stephanie McMahon and Triple H lead Seth Rollins, Kane, Rusev, Mark Henry, and Luke Harper to the ring. They are joined by Jamie Noble, Joey Mercury, and Lana.

Hunter says three weeks ago, the Chairman and CEO of the WWE, Vincent Kennedy McMahon came to this ring and he added a stipulation to the match at Survivor Series. That stipulation was if the Authority lost, they would be out of power. No more Raw, no more Smackdown, no more Authority, no more power.

Hunter asks if the people would like to see them without power and relegated to ‘regular employees’, like all of you.

Stephanie tells everyone to enjoy this feeling because she asks how does it feel to want.

Hunter says that you have no idea what you wish for. You are sheep and you need to be led, even if it is right in front of you.

Vince comes to the ring and he is a hero, but when he ran the WWE with an iron fist, he was the evil ‘Mr. McMahon’. Now that is their role. They are seen as the evil empire. You cannot see what they do for you. You are just sheep.

You would rather have the inmates run the asylum? Inmates like John Cena and Dolph Ziggler. The last place the inmates ran the asylum, it was called WCW. We picked them up at auction. They will not let that happen. It all comes down to one match at Survivor Series.

Team Authority, the most dominant and most lethal team ever assembled. Led by the future and standard bearer of the WWE, Seth Rollins. They will square off with Team Cena. A group of self righteous malcontents led by the golden boy of malcontents, John Cena.

If they win, the WWE thrives and everyone benefits. If they lose, they cannot lose. Hunter says that he is glad that the WWE Network is free for November so you can all see the greatest victory that the Authority and he ever has. The Authority will win and we will go on and on under their leadership.

Stephanie says that is Sunday, but what about tonight? In spite of attempts to get Team Cena on their side to do what is best for business, they continue to side with their captain, John Cena.

Hunter says they have no choice. Team Cena will be decimated, either figuratively or literally. Tonight, we will have the biggest contract signing in the history of the WWE. We will see who is left and who has the guts to sign their name next to John Cena.

Stephanie talks about the members of Team Authority. First, their captain Seth Rollins. Then the World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry. We have the most twisted and sadistic monster the WWE has ever seen, Kane. We have the new United States Champion, Rusev. Then there is the man who personally delivered a decimated Dolph Ziggler to their feet last week, Luke Harper.

Luke says that he is a Team Player.

Stephanie says that she is proud to have Luke and all of them on their team. It seems like John Cena is down a competitor.

Stephanie addresses Ryback. Last week, they thought they had Ryback locked up as a member of Team Authority, but some things went awry. Things got in the way and the important thing to note is that Team Authority is not going anywhere.

Ryback’s music plays and he makes his way to the stage. He says the Authority wants what is best for business while John Cena wants what is best for the WWE Universe. Ryback wants what is best for Ryback.

Stephanie says that she respects that while tensions ran a little high last week and we made some decisions that we may regret. Isn’t that right Kane?

Kane says that he regrets what transpired.

Stephanie says that Ryback doesn’t have to believe her but does Ryback want to join a man who has no respect for Ryback?

We see footage of Ryback being addressed by John Cena last year on Raw.

Stephanie says the footage does not lie. John Cena speaks for himself. She doesn’t know why John Cena would say that. It is because Cena is jealous of everything that Ryback can do. Stephanie says that she thinks John Cena loathes him. Do you want to go into battle with a man you cannot trust. You need to make a decision about who to side with.

Ryback says he plays for the one team that he can count on and that is Team Ryback.

Hunter tells Ryback that is a wise decision. Stay neutral and stay out of the fight. For everyone who is already in the fight, the decimation starts now.

Luke Harper will stay in this ring and he will start the decimation. He will decimate a man who is a suck up, a show off, and a man who shows no respect to the Authority.

A man that has nothing to love or nothing to lose is the most dangerous man in the world. Poor Dean Ambrose. For Dean every day is a pathetic attempt to show love out of obligation, not out of desire. Dean will always be alone. If Dean takes anything away from this, he prays that Dean does not mistake his generosity for something malignant.

At first, he had to get Dean’s attention by any means necessary. Bray says that he promises that he comes in peace. He knows that Dean still feels the torment that he suffered at Bray’s hands. That suffering was a gift. He knows the pains that Dean has endured. A mother who drowned herself in her own miseries than take care of her baby boy. A father who abandoned him. A life of desolation. Bray says that he can safe Dean. He says their souls are intertwined. He tells Dean to embrace him and it will all go away.

Dean appears on the TitanTron. He tells Bray he doesn’t have to babble because he heard him the first time at Hell in a Cell, then the night after. He heard it on Smackdown. Every rambling meandering word, he hears it. It is like nails on a chalkboard.

Dean says that he is trying to listen to Bray. Bray will not get an edge at Survivor Series by bringing these things up. He does not care. Dean says that he learned a spooky magic trick from Bray. Magic video recording because he is not right here because he filmed this on his friend’s phone earlier today.

The lights go on and Ambrose attacks Wyatt and he punches Bray. Dean kicks Bray to the floor.

Dean says he doesn’t need any saving. Bray needs to worry about saving himself at Survivor Series.

Team Authority makes their way to the ring.

Hunter says Sunday at Survivor Series, live in front of the world, history will be made. Team Cena versus Team Authority and the Authority will stand tall. When it comes to the WWE . . .

Hunter says that you don’t get it. You love the WWE. John Cena will tell you he loves the WWE. The truth is you have no idea. You have no idea what it is like for them. Every molecule of your being is this. Every fiber of who you are as a person, for your family, is this. You have no idea. Your great-grandfather, your grandfather, your kids. You have no idea. This is the air they breathe.

Hunter says that they cannot lose.

Stephanie says that they won’t lose.

Hunter says that Stephanie is right. They won’t lose. Hunter tells everyone they won’t lose. He says that they cannot lose. This is the last chance for every member of supposed Team Cena. This is your opportunity to back out. If you don’t back out now, you will wish that you had.

Stephanie says that there is no shame in backing down. Some times it is better to back down than to accept a fight. Her father challenged her and they have put together the strongest team ever. This team has been decimating and annihilating Team Cena all night long.

Stephanie has the surviving members of Team Cena make their way to the ring.

John Cena comes out first and he is joined by . . .

John Cena makes his way to the ring and he walks alone.

Hunter says that it is kind of ironic because he cannot see the rest of John’s team.

John says that Hunter’s got jokes but the jokes stop on Sunday. He says that he can see it in Hunter’s eyes. The most important day of their lives. The WWE Universe will see Team Authority lose and they will be out of power.

Stephanie asks John him and what army will beat them? Sheamus has been taken to the hospital. No one is standing with John because they value their careers. John is too myopic. No one will join John’s crusade.

John tells Stephanie not to give anyone advice because Team Authority will lose. John says that the Authority is smug after what happened. They took care of everyone except for the one man who will make sure that the Authority loses. He sees that the Authority has put people to sleep. Every decision is not what is best for business, but what is best for yourself.

John says that he will get four people out of the crowd if he needs them. Even if he went to war with four people in the crowd, every member of his team would have passion for the WWE. Team Authority is a bunch of suck ups and sell outs.

John will give everyone a preview of what they will get. John reminds everyone it is free. This is why you need to see it.

The queen and king will saunter to the ring, with their noses up watching their dream team trying to stop John Cena. They will take their ringside seat as it is all but a formality. Then their team, one by one will fall.

John says Kane will be the first. The former firebreathing monster, kin to the Undertaker, controlled by the urn. Now he is a boot kissing Drew Carey lookalike. Then they will see Luke Harper fail. He is from the swamp so he will have a swamp in his pants when he fails. Then Rusev will not be able to get the job done.

Then you get the red eyes and Stephanie won’t be able to help because she will be puking in the corner. Then he will feed them Sexual Chocolate. That leaves just one, the sell out golden boy. The bleached blonde brunette with the latex fetish. Then he will get his attitude adjusted and the referee will make the three count and it will feel like three years because all of your dreams will be crushed. It will be fitting that you will spend the rest of your time in the WWE cleaning toilets.

Stephanie slaps John and John tells her to get out of the ring because it is go time.

Dolph Ziggler’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring, but he is holding his neck.

Big Show makes his way to the ring to join his teammates.
