DOES WWE STILL WANT RONDA ROUSEY, CORNETTE WORKING WITH WWE NXT, JACK TUNNEY & MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2015-11-19 10:00:00
The Royal Rumble is scheduled for January 24 2016 which is the same day as the NFL championship games. WWE has changed show dates in the past so as not to conflict with major sporting events. Will WWE be changing the Rumble date or is it set in stone? I have my tickets and I need to know what Monday to take off work.

WWE has not made any move to change the date and in fact has scheduled NXT events that weekend as well. The Rumble will take place on January 24th.

I recently looked up Jack Tunny and was surprised to see he wasn't In the HOF, even more, he left the WWE on bad terms. What happened? I remember when was on TV or even mentioned some heavy things went down. He is not a HOF headliner, but is as deserving as anyone.

Jack Tunney was WWF President as much as anyone else appearing on TV was. It was just a role he portrayed as something of a thank you for The Tunney family being loyal to WWF in the Toronto region. I'm not sure on the reasons for his departure. It's possible WWE will honor him one day but I don't see it happening anytime soon. There are lots of others who drew money for the company in their roles that one could make an argument for.

Could you see WWE calling up Jim Cornette to head-up "Promo Class" for NXT? I think he would be a great choice.. He has history of helping in WWE Developmental, and we all know how great he is at helping younger talent develop.. I know he left on bad terms in WWE, but that was 10 years ago now, and I've seen people come back, that have left on worse terms than him.

Jim Cornette would be perfect for that role or to be brought in as a consultant, but I don't see it. He doesn't like the way wrestling is produced or portrayed and he's not going to want to relocate to Florida. He's happy doing his podcast, writing his books and doing nostalgia appearances as he enjoys life in Louisville. I would love to see him more involved in wrestling but I don't think it would make him happy and an unhappy Jim Cornette isn't good for anyone within a 100 mile radius!

With Ronda Rousey being defeated by Holly Holm for her UFC title does this change any plans WWE might have had in mind for Rousey in taking part at Wrestlemania or any other scheduled events?

Obviously, they want her for Wrestlemania. They will take her anywhere, anytime she wants to be part of the company.

Why isn't Shawn Michaels making more appearances on WWE TV?

He's retired!
