SECOND ROH SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST NIGHT ONE REPORT

By Andy Ackerman on 2015-11-14 18:31:09

This was an excellent show and there wasn't a bad match on the card.

Dark match: Cheeseburger def. "Outlaw" Tim Phoenix.
Good match to highlight a local guy.
Can't remember the finish

1. Christopher Daniels def. Kenny King, Hanson, and Mark Briscoe. Daniels stole the pin after Hanson had King beat. Daniels hit last rites and the BME for the pin.

2. Roderick Strong def Cedric Alexander. Good back and forth 12 minute match.

3. Silas Young def. Dalton Castle and Adam Page. BJ Whitmer, who prior to this did commentary for the VOD and DVD along with Kevin Kelly, accompanied Page. The Beer City Bruiser accompanied Silas Young. Before the match, Silas got on the mic and tried to heel the crowd to no avail because no one wants to boo the hometown guy. He then turned his attention to Castle and told him that The Boys were out and about picking up women for Silas and Bruiser for after the show. Match mainly revolved around Dalton and Silas's issues with Page trying to interject. BJ Whitmer tried interfering but was taken out by Castle and would not return to commentary afterwards. Silas pinned Castle to advance.

4. The Kingdom def ReDRagon to retain the ROH Tag Team Championship lots of interference from Maria including pulling Todd Sinclair out of the ring during a pin attempt after Chasing The Dragon. The finish saw Adam Cole jump Kyle O'Reilly allowing the Kingdom to finish off Bobby Fish and retain. Big post-match scuffle between Cole and O'Reilly.

Following intermission, Kevin Kelly came out to introduce his new commentary partner since Whitmer was knocked out. He introduced famous masked wrestling legend Mr. Wrestling III. (Steve Corino using one of his old personas)

5. Jay Briscoe def Rhett Titus, Frankie Kazarian, and Ray Rowe. Awesome four way featuring Kazarian stealing blind tags when it was advantageous to him, Titus trying to stay in the mix, and Jay and Rowe seeing who was better. Wouldn't be surprised if Was Machine faced the Briscoes at final battle. Jay won after hitting a Jay Driller on Titus

6. Michael Elgin def Moose and Adam Cole. Cole came out first and said that he would do everything in his power to guarantee that Kyle O'Reilly would never hold ROH gold again. Lots of power spots from Moose and Big Mike including a 30 count vertical suplex spot by Elgin ON MOOSE! O'Reilly came out  to distract Cole who was looking to hit a dive off the top rope. Shortly after Elgin hits an Elgin Bomb to pin Cole. Cole was livid afterwards.

7. ACH def Matt Sydal to win the Best of 5 series and advance to Survival of the fittest. Awesome awesome awesome back and forth match which saw Sydal work over ACH's left leg most of the match. ACH won with the 450 splash. Postmatch saw the two shake hands and hug and Sydal raise ACH's hand.

8. AJ Styles and the Young Bucks def the House of Truth. Truth Martini and Taeler Hendrix accompanied Lethal and company to ringside. The match was exactly what everyone expected. Everyone got their stuff in. Truth interfered (surprise surprise), was chased into the ring, then surrounded by the Bullet Club, took off his glasses and closed his eyes and took his stereo superkicks like a man. AJ Styles pinned Lethal with a Styles clash. Postmatch Lethal cut a promo on AJ saying it took three of them to beat him and that it won't happen at final battle.

Just an awesome show with not a bad match on the card.
