We begin this week with Roman Reigns coming to the ring and he has something to say.
Roman says based on your energy, he says he is proud to be in Denver. He is also proud to be the Number One Contender and the next WWE Champion. He wants to talk about Seth Rollins. He is good in the ring, but he is good at other things. He is good at brown nosing and kissing the Authority’s ass. He does not like people who lie to his face and stab him in the back.
Seth has been lucky enough to be champion since Wrestlemania, but that is where it ends. Nothing will stop him from becoming the next WWE World Champion and you can . . . BELIEVE THAT.
Seth Rollins makes his way onto the stage. Are you going to believe that Roman is going to do something that no one else has been able to do and take his WWE Championship. He does not believe Roman. He also wants to know if Roman gave him a compliment. Seth says Roman is good too. He wouldn’t have recruited Roman for the Shield if he wasn’t good. At Wrestlemania, you stood toe to toe with the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar. You took everything he had to dish out and gave back just as good. How did that night end for you Roman? Seth reminds Roman he cashed in his contract and won the match to become the WWE Champion.
Seth says he rewrote history by doing something that no one else had done before. When history is written about you, you were good, but you will always be second best. These people, they will only remember you as the guy who used to carry his bags.
Roman tells Seth to carry himself down here and see who the real man is.
Seth says he will do this right now, but after taking a few steps down the ramp, he pauses and then heads closer to the ring . . . until
The music for Triple H plays and he is joined by Stephanie McMahon the revolutionary. Stephanie says if we are going to do this, we are going to make this official. Stephanie asks how many people want to see Seth Rollins versus Roman Reigns? How many want to see them face each other for the WWE Championship. You are going to get it . . .
but not tonight.
Hunter says he knew they could get them. Hunter wants to know how high are the people to believe that they would do this. Stephanie says they are not going to give that match away in Denver. That match will take place at Survivor Series.
Hunter mentions that since Roman is itching for a fight, let’s have a traditional five on five Survivor Series elimination match. Hunter says a team captained by and chosen by Seth Rollins will face a team captained and chosen by Roman Reigns.
Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens walk in the back because they will be wrestling each other when we come back from commercial.
Kevin Owens was in the Goldman Box and he says he does not have to tell you he is the greatest because he proves it in the ring. If you don’t agree with him, then you don’t like him and he does not like you.
Match Number One: Kevin Owens versus Dolph Ziggler in a Non Title Match
Owens kicks Ziggler in the knee and takes him down to the mat again and he kicks Ziggler in the injured knee. Owens hyperextends the knee and he taunts Ziggler. Ziggler punches Owens and Owens with a kick to the leg. Owens backs Ziggler into the corner and he kicks Ziggler in the thigh. Owens with a punch and Ziggler is down again.
Ziggler with elbows and Ziggler’s knee gives out on an Irish whip. Ziggler holds his knee while the referee checks on him, but Owens does not care. Owens is kicked away by Ziggler and Ziggler misses a Stinger Splash. Owens misses a back senton. Ziggler with a hesitation DDT and Owens rolls to the floor>
Tyler Breeze’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Owens with a reverse chin lock while Tyler and Summer are in the VIP area that no one noticed at the start of the match. We see footage from the commercial break when Ziggler got distracted by Breeze and Owens hit a Fallaway Slam on the floor. Owens gets a near fall. Owens with a reverse chin lock.
Owens continues with the reverse chin lock because we need to see what Summer and Tyler are doing. Ziggler with a jaw breaker to escape the hold. Owens runs into an uppercut. Ziggler avoids a splash from Owens and hits a clothesline. Ziggler hops into the corner for a splash followed by a neck breaker. Ziggler with a leaping elbow drop for a near fall.
Ziggler goes for a Fameasser but Owens moves. Ziggler with a victory roll for a near fall. Ziggler with a rollup for a near fall. Ziggler with a kick but Owens with a German suplex. Owens goes for a cannonball but Ziggler with a thrust kick and Owens kicks out at two. Breeze is now at ringside taking a selfie with the match behind him.
Ziggler swings at Breeze and that allows Owens to hit the pop up power bomb for the three count.
Winner: Kevin Owens
After the match, Summer and Tyler pose for their cameras while looking at Dolph down in the ring. Breeze enters the ring and then he takes a photo with Ziggler.
Dolph punches Tyler but Tyler with the Beauty Shot to Ziggler.
Summer comes into the ring and applauds Tyler’s work and then they take a photo with Ziggler laying down behind them.
Michael mentions the traditional five on five Survivor Series matches and we see what happened in 1987 during the first Survivor Series.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Kevin Owens is walking in the back and Seth Rollins is happy to see him. Seth says that was huge out there.
Kevin thanks him and wants to know where is this going.
Seth says Wrestlemania is right around the corner and what better match than champion versus champion Kevin Owens versus Seth Rollins.
Kevin says he likes the sound of that.
Seth asks if Kevin likes the sound of Kevin being on Team Rollins.
Kevin says he likes the idea of the Wrestlemania match and he says he is in. He tells Seth that he owes him one.
It is time to talk about the ‘controversial’ Divas division and we take a look back at what Paige did and said last week.
Remember later tonight, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Brie Bella, and Paige will battle in the ring to see who faces Charlotte for the Divas Title at Survivor Series.
Renee Young is with Becky Lynch and Becky wants to know why Renee called her ‘the B’. Becky says there is only one ‘b’ in PCB and that is Paige. Becky says she is not in the fetal position after what happened last week on her couch but that was an eye opener. She cannot wait to get her hand on that backstabbing witch.
Renee reminds Becky that she can face her partner Charlotte if she wins tonight.
Brie tells Becky she won’t have to worry about facing her best friend because she is going to win, not Charlotte’s wacky side kick.
Becky says she will take that over being Nikki’s doormat sister.
We go to commercial.
We see Stardust, Konnor, and Viktor in the Stardust Section in the crowd.
Match Number Two: Cesaro versus Miz
Miz takes his time to flap around and pull off his sunglasses. Miz hides in the ropes to avoid Cesaro and get into his head. They lock up and Miz with a wrist lock. Cesaro with a series of kip ups and he reverses and sends Miz to the mat with an arm wringer. Miz with a side head lock and Cesaro catches Miz on a leap frog attempt and Cesaro with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker.
Cesaro with a running European uppercut into the corner and then he Irish whips Miz and hits a running European uppercut. Miz goes to the floor and he sends Cesaro shoulder first into the ring post. Miz sends Cesaro into the ringside barrier before returning into the ring and Miz with a running boot and he gets a near fall.
Miz with a reverse chin lock. Cesaro with elbows to get out of the hold. Miz with an Irish whip and he hits the Awesome Clothesline. Miz goes up top and hits a double sledge to the head. Miz sets for the Skull Crushing Finale but Cesaro with a fireman’s carry and a spinebuster. Cesaro with the Giant Swing on Miz. Cesaro with the Sharpshooter and Miz taps out.
Winner: Cesaro
