KURT ANGLE TEASING MMA ANNOUNCEMENT

Kurt Angle took to Twitter today teasing an announcement in regard to MMA promotion Bellator's November event in St. Louis later today. The tease indicated he would be at their event:

Huge announcement coming today for #Bellator145 Stay tuned! It's damn true!!!!

PWInsider.com has confirmed with a source that the promotion had approached him to fight MMA in the past, but whether that is a valid possibility remains to be seen. The promotion had considered several pro wrestlers for MMA bouts including Alberto Del Rio.

Angle's health and neck issues would make it far from likely he would work with the company as a fighter but there are lots of TV roles for someone of Angle's reputation and stature that make sense. Angle announced he would be leaving TNA in January 2016.

TNA star Bobby Lashley currently fights for Bellator.
