Obviously, one of the big stories coming out of the show is the return of former WWE champion Alberto Del Rio. The two had been in communication for several weeks, as we had reported back on 10/11. Del Rio had also had discussions with TNA but opted to return to WWE. There are some interesting international ramifications here as Del Rio is still the AAA champion. We have heard that AAA wasn't aware he was debuting until right before it happened as WWE wanted extreme secrecy for all the obvious reasons. The belief is Del Rio will finish out his remaining bookings with AAA, but that's not 100% confirmed.
John Cena finished up last night and isn't expected back until the 12/26 Madison Square Garden event. I am told some sort of announcement will be made about what he's doing during the hiatus, which appears to be an outside project of some sort.
Randy Orton was not backstage at the Hell in A Cell PPV.
There were however, a ton of people from the entertainment world including Mark Wahlberg, Rick Rubin, Dennis "Mr. Belding" Haskins, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Topp, Sofia Veraga from "Modern Family", Joe Manganiello, Seth Green, horror directors The Soska Sisters, "Chronicle" screenwriter Max Landis and former ESPN writer Bill Simmons.
The Staples Center was completely sold out with the word yesterday being there were no comps for the show for those who asked.
Speaking of Seth Green, they noted the "Camp WWE" animated series would debut this Spring on the WWE Network last night during the PPV.
This week's episode of WWE NXT will feature:
*Emma vs. Shazza
*Jason Jordan and Chad Gable vs. Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa.
*Nia Jax vs. Kay Lee Ray
*Samoa Joe vs. Tyler Breeze.
