THE ONE THING I'D INSTITUTE FOR THE WWE NETWORK, FINKEL RING ANNOUNCING, WHY WWE WOULD WANT THE TNA LIBRARY & MORE

Has vacating a title ever increased fan interest in who wins that title? As a fan, I'm much more invested in someone beating the champ straight up. Having a fan favorite win a belt, only to strip him of it, is a major rip-off. Thoughts?

I think you can make a case for Andre the Giant vacating the belt, leading into Wrestlemania IV increasing fan interest, but beyond that, I'd be hard pressed to think of an example.

Hypothetically, if WWE were to acquire the TNA video library, other than Samoa Joe's matches with Styles, Daniels & Angle, what material would really be worth having?

All of it. It would be thousands of hours for the WWE Network. In my mind, any material that is in good condition would be a viable purchase for WWE, even if the libraries are not complete.

If you could change one thing about the WWE Network, what would it be?

I'd really like to see the company get very proactive about tracking down and interviewing personalities from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s as they get older. George Scott passing away was a huge loss in my mind when it comes to losing his perspective in the early days of WWF going national and the creative process that was involved, plus he was the first man to book Ricky Steamboat vs. Ric Flair. Imagine the insight that could have been added to the DVDs, the Networks, etc. if WWE had that a long form interview with him that they could use for their own research as well as material they could splice into their products. If I was WWE, I'd have a full-time crew traveling around the country interviewing older talents and names so they have that material in the can.

Where are the Young Stallions?

Paul Roma lives in CT and operates a wrestling school there. Jim Powers lives in New Jersey.

Why doesn't WWE let Howard Finkel ring announce any more?

My gut feeling is that since they place such a premium on youth, Howard (65 I believe) was moved out of the position and into his administrative duties for the company. I have long written (and probably will always write) that Howard should have remained the voice of ring announcing in Madison Square Garden. He earned that distinction in my mind and it saddens me to see that he's not in that position today.
