Jason Jordan reminds me so much of Kurt Angle in the ring, and fans were chanting Gable's name to the tune of Angle's theme song.  Would you bring back Angle and have him lead them as Team Angle 2.0?

No way. I don’t see any need to bring in an old guy to team with a young guy. Jordan has shown a ton of potential and great growth. I think having Angle as his partner would stunt that.

Who were the main writers during the "Golden Era" of the WWF? Was it former wrestlers?  Vince himself?  I ask because that time frame was definitely directed towards kids, but despite some hokey story lines and characters every now and then, it still appealed to all generations.  Now, some 25 years later with the same concept in mind, even me being a life long wrestling fan, cannot stomach the garbage that is put out there on a weekly basis.  I understand the glory days are gone, but do you think it's even possible to capture lightning in a bottle twice to a certain extent?

The thing was, they didn’t have “writers” back then. Vince was in control and had a lot of talented, veteran people helping advise him. As time went on, he became the veteran and now listens to far fewer people than he did back then. I absolutely think that WWE can “market to kids” but still appeal to adults. The Simpsons have done it for decades. Vince’s problem is he forgets how to do it. What he also forgets is that if you make the show appealing to dad, he won’t mind taking little Jimmy to a show or buying the Network.

Can Michael Hayes be held part responsible for the state of WWE creative at this point? I know Vince has final say but you're telling me he veto's every good idea? How about the creative team getting the blame and Hayes who has been there during the time it started declining to present?

You are obviously not an Elite member. If you were, you would know the one person responsible is Vince McMahon. He sets the tone. The writers know exactly what he wants, and they give it to him. That simple.

I've heard Vince has to okay everything that happens on TV. Does he really? I can't see him  for example rocking out to that band that wrote NXT Respect's theme and specifically clearing it. I seem to recall after the "Byte This" incident from many (many) moons ago that he'd gotten more anal about control but I would think he delegates more now?

The NXT song did not air on WWE TV! NXT is HHH’s domain. But what that statement refers to is the creative that airs on WWE TV. Ads, songs, etc. fall outside of that.

I listen to Steve Austin's podcast, amongst others, and every time he has a wrestler on they cite a major problem today being a lack of selling. I never thought about it but started paying attention and it's true. People just don't,  or aren't given time to, sell as much as they did before. How is it that Vince not only allows this but is probably the reason it happens? Does he not think the product is subpar?

Again, you must not be an Elite member. We talk about the lack of selling on our podcasts all the time. We talked, in depth, about how great the selling was on last week’s NXT show, and it pointed out again how weak WWE’s is in comparison. As mentioned above, the problem stems from everything being written out in advance. Back in the old days, guys got bullet points to hit on promos, and were often allowed to tell their own stories in the ring as well. The business could use that again.
