STING'S TOUGHNESS, WHY JERICHO WAS THE MYSTERY PARTNER, CESARO AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2015-10-01 10:00:00
Whatever happen to J & J Security? Haven't seen them in a while?

Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble are still with WWE, working behind the scenes as Producers but have been written off TV storylines following a beatdown from Brock Lesnar.

What was the point of having Chris Jericho as a secret partner? He still has potential drawing power, and to waste that on him being a secret partner seems very off to me.

The point was to surprise people since it would be out of left field, to put over Braun Strowman by having him defeat a former World champion and to set the stage in motion for a potential Jericho vs. Dean Ambrose issue down the line.

Do you think the reason why Cesaro has been demoted storyline-wise as of late is because Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn are not fans of his?

No one has given me a straight answer as to why the company hasn't pushed Cesaro stronger but it does seem a bit silly that they are ignoring that tons of fans every week are bringing "Cesaro Section" signs to support him, yet the company doesn't recognize that and push him accordingly.

Don't WWE's recent ratungs woes further illustrate how idiotic it was to book HHH over Sting at Wrestlemania? To me, they killed Sting's aura when he could have created all kinds of interesting NEW scenarios with Sting as a legit power. Instead, few fans think Sting has any chance to beat Rollins for the title. So they're tuning out. And I'm sure Sting will be blamed instead of WWE pointing the blame where it truly lies.

I would concur that Sting should have won at his first Wrestlemania appearance, no matter who he was wrestling. The reality is, however, at 56, Sting was not the answer to WWE's booking or ratings woes. WWE heavily promoted his return to the ring for Raw and the audience tuned out. Sting is a legend but he isn't what they need. There needs to be a complete across the board shakeup in the formulaic pattern of how the shows are laid out and a strong, concise push for younger talent to be treated as top stars.

Now that we know the seriousness of Sting's legit injury in the match with Rollins, what does it say about the toughness and class of that 56 year old man to be able to gut it out and finish the match for the fans and to put over Seth Rollins? And in hindsight, wasn't that a pretty awesome performance?

I agree 100%. It was Sting's best performance in a long, long time and his performance showed what a tough man he is for gutting it out after obviously getting hurt with a spinal issue.
