I think it's pretty obvious that something is at play here that has yet to be revealed. I was told by one source that there was "something" Carter wanted to do but needed Jarrett's shares in order to do it, hence the deal that was cut for his ownership stake. What that is, I can't tell you. Carter remains adamant that the company is not shutting down, so what is going here is still, really, yet to be revealed. There are obviously people concerned within the company, but they are also hopeful things will turn around in time. We shall see. As far as TV, the company has a LOT of house shows and I wouldn't be shocked to see them taping "on the road" the way that ROH does at times.
So I read on your site that Hogan joked about being Trumps Running Mate...the same Trump that has gone on racist tirades about the Mexican people. The same Mexican people that make up a large portion of WWE fans. Forgetting the moral and ethical reasons why you shouldn't want to associate yourself with Trump, why would Hogan think a line like that would make him seem like less of a racist (also I find it funny that Trump is still listed on WWE.com despite saying way more racist things than Hogan ever has).
Hogan is just trying to get attention for himself. He's a self-promoter and is always going to try and grab onto anything he thinks might bring him press. As far as his thinking beyond that, only he knows.
With the recent addition of Bam Bam Bigelow to WWE 2k16, do you see him going into the HOF next year? Even though he never won a championship during his WWF stints, I think it's about time to honor one of the greatest "big men" in history. Same goes for Vader?
Each of them are more than deserving inductees. Bigelow headlined Wrestlemania. Vader was one of the best big man talents ever and was a top performer for companies all over the world. It's a matter of when, not if, for each of them.
Why would a tag team in 2015 dub itself The New Heavenly Bodies? And why would a promotion allow it? Good grief. The original Heavenly Bodies were a mediocre, southern regional tag team whose heyday was 22 years ago. Even longtime fans barely remember them. Is Jeff Jarrett's new promotion seriously that lacking in creativity?
First off, if you think The Heavenly Bodies were a mediocre team, I suggest you track down some Smoky Mountain Wrestling material and educate yourself, because your comments are pretty silly. Each incarnation of the Bodies was a tremendous tandem. As far as why there is a team doing the gimmick in 2015, it's easy - They are paying tribute while at the same time, using a gimmick that will get them some attention. You said they were a regional team, but what's Jeff Jarrett doing? Running, small, regional shows. So, what's the problem with using the team or the gimmick? If you are using the fact that one team was booked on some house shows as a way to point to the entire company's creative work, your logic is beyond flawed here in my mind.
Who would you guess will be the third man along side Ambrose and Reigns vs The Wyatts? Mom really hoping it's not Rowan. To me that would feel uninspired and non sensical since last we saw Harper and Rowan we're teaming together and on good terms. Any chance it could be Samoa Joe as member of Reigns "family"?
Rowan isn't cleared to return to the ring yet. I expect it will be a veteran along the lines of a Kane or Chris Jericho. Samoa Joe would be great, but I haven't heard anything about a NXT talent being used in the role. The NXT crew will be in Texas this weekend, though, so you never know!
I think WWE missed the point. As fans, it's not about seeing Sting on my TV with the wwe logo in the corner of the screen. It's about seeing Sting in matches against opponents that were never before possible. So they give us Sting vs Big Show. The greatest rematch from the 90s that no ones ever dreamt about seeing again. Shouldn't WWE have given Sting a fresh opponent on Raw? Someone who could've benefitted from the rub... Luke Harper, Kofi, even Bo Dallas (who sting dropped the night after mania?) I think a fresh match up against an opponent fans aren't bored with would have been a better attraction don't you?
I am with you 100% on this. In hindsight, Sting vs. Sheamus would have been a far-fresher match. I was personally intrigued by the idea of Sting wrestling until they announced he was facing Big Show. I think that the choice was an error and based on the ratings, it appears the majority of the viewers agreed with that.
