I was at last night’s Smackdown and the Balor/Samoa Joe vs Lucha Dragons match was actually a taped NXT match for the “Dusty Rhodes Memorial Tag Team Tournament”.
It was not a dark match—it took place after Main Event and right before Smackdown. Samoa Joe and Finn Balor defeated The Lucha Dragons.
BTW, the Main Event results were:
PTP def. Los Matadors (good match, PTP was over with the crowd)
Zack Ryder def. Brad Maddox new gimmick (Joseph/John Kingsley, something Kingsley—fake English accent, grey hair, claimed to be from London England and came out quoting Shakespeare, it was weird).
Jack Swagger def. Adam Rose (with new “party pooper” gimmick, quick squash match).
Stardust def. Fandango (both men cut good, short backstage promos for the match which was nice and the match was decent. Lots of CODY chants).
