Michael brings up the contract signing with Finn Balor and how Kevin hit both Finn Balor and William Regal. Michael asks if the apology to William Regal was heartfelt. Kevin says that Michael is questioning his sincerity. Michael mentions that William said he hoped that Finn would beat Kevin in Brooklyn.

Kevin says kudos to William to make those comments behind his back. It takes a real man . . . a real man’s man. There is a problem there. William Regal runs NXT, so for him to openly say that he hopes that Kevin does not win, it is an issue for him. He does not want the NXT Title any more. He needs it. It reminds him of what he did to Sami Zayn. The title means more money in his bank account. He does not enjoy walking down the ramp, whether it is on Raw, Smackdown, or NXT without a title on his shoulder.

After what William Regal has said, and he is not a stand up guy. He would do whatever it took to get where he needed, and Kevin respects that. Who knows if Regal will put a crooked referee in the ring and have another Montreal Screwjob. . . even if it is in Brooklyn, but he is a Montreal boy. Kevin has thought long and hard and there is only one way to be guaranteed that does not happen. That is if you put the title up and put a ladder between Balor and I and see who can climb it first. No referee will stop him and William Regal will not screw him out of what is his.

Kevin says at Takeover, what he wants is a ladder match.

Michael says this could be alleviated if he can beat Finn Balor. Michael asks Kevin if he can beat the demon.

Kevin thinks about the question and he takes off his microphone and he hands it to Michael and leaves the ring and walks to the back.
