*Steve Austin noted yesterday that he finished filming on the latest season of CMT's "Broken Skull Ranch" so it's conceivable that WWE could get him to fly to Orlando, Florida. I could be wrong, but my feeling is that if it was Austin, WWE and USA Network would be pushing it hard to help the show's ratings. From a name standpoint, he would be the most logical choice.
*All signs we are hearing is that Ric Flair, who a lot of people I spoke with last week seemed to think would end up in the role, will not be the Judge.
*Shawn Michaels was spotted in Philadelphia, PA today by a friend of mine, so it's not likely to be him.
The other names that have bounced around the last few days have been Bret Hart and Chris Jericho (transitioning over from host to Judge). I haven't heard his name but Taz would be an interesting idea since he has a great pedigree as a trainer and was part of the series in the past, plus is well spoken and opinionated.
The perfect choice would be, as Dave Scherer mentioned to me today in a conversation, Vince McMahon, both from a ratings standpoint and from the perspective of making interesting TV, but since McMahon has been very hands-on in producing Tough Enough every week in Florida, I don't see him putting himself on camera.
We'll know in a few hours.
