Update: A few readers have sent word that The National Enquirer is claiming that they have tapes of Hulk Hogan repeatedly making racist statements, which they shared with WWE yesterday, leading the company to distance itself from Hogan, as mentioned below.
The tapes are to be released today by The Enquirer. More as it comes.

Overnight, WWE has removed all references to Hulk Hogan from their website. He has also been removed from the Alumni section of WWE.com and his merchandise has been removed from WWEShop.com.
Hogan has also been removed as a judge on the Tough Enough series.
There has been a rumor going around overnight, which we can’t confirm, that Hogan was released from WWE due to an interview that surfaced where he used the “N” word (though after listening to it I don’t see why there would be an issue with what he said there as he was quoting what other people said, not using the word himself). You can watch the interview below.
There is another rumor (again, let me stress rumor) going around that something came out in the discovery process of Hogan’s trial against Gawker.com, who he is suing for running an excerpt of a sex tape with Heather Clem that he did not consent to, that WWE wanted to distance themselves from.
At 1:17 AM this morning, Hogan tweeted the following: “In the storm I release control,God and his Universe will sail me where he wants me to be,one love. HH”.
