WHY BROCK WORKED KOFI IN JAPAN, WHAT WWE SHOULD HAVE DONE WITH LANA, LEX LUGER IN THE HALL AND MORE

Was Kofi Kingston really the best alternative WWE could come up with as the opponent for Brock at the Beast in the East event? No disrespect towards Kofi, he's a great wrestler, but he's no match against a machine like Brock. Lesnar's beaten the best of the best, at SummerSlam last year he more or less tore John Cena to pieces, so with an opponent like Kingston.. it (to me) kind of takes away the excitement of the entire match because you know there's no way in hell Brock's going to lose against someone like him. This whole event was touted as something big, as WWE's first live event from Japan in I don't know how long, as Lesnar's return to the country. So why did they not put him against a more credible wrestler, to make the match even bigger. Again, no disrespect against Kofi, but his inclusion (again, to me) kind of brought the whole match down. Furthermore, with this event so prominently featuring Brock Lesnar in all the hype and artwork and everything, why wasn't Lesnar in the main event match but rather in the midcard match? To me, that just made no sense, maybe you can breathe some sense into it for me?

You are overthinking it. The Japanese fans wanted to see Brock destroy someone. Kofi is as good a person as any. It wasn’t the main event because it wasn’t much of a match, it was a destruction.

Consider some of the films that are coming out this summer (say The Avengers). You know going into the film that the Avengers are going to win, but the film is written in a compelling way even though you already know the outcome. Why does WWE struggle to do the same?

That is an excellent question. At the end of the day, it comes down to how they tell the story. At times, they do a bad job of it. They need to do better for the reason you stated.

I think it would've been great when they had Lana come out with Ziggler and get on the mic if she dropped the accent and had her speaking plain English.......and said how Rusev was such a control freak and hated America so much etc. that he made her speak with the accent ......and said how now she's free to be her real self with Dolph..... Do you think something like that would have made things a little less awkward seeming?

I agree with you 100 percent. I was thinking the same thing. And it would make Rusev even more of a despicable heel to force his girlfriend to do that.

In their coverage of WWE’s Beast in the East show, Mike & Dave both mentioned that Jericho brought out the Lion Tamer as an homage to his Lionheart days in Japan, but ignored that Finn Bálor used Bloody Sundayfor the first time in the WWE in his match against Kevin Owens in a nod to his time as Prince Devitt. Any reason to glance over this milestone?

My guess would be the announcers didn’t know that. They are much more familiar with Jericho’s history due to working with him for so long.

Lex Luger is all over the WWE Network, whether it's being featured in past matches or current interviews.  Obviously this means the fences have been mended on both sides.  Does this also mean there's a Hall of Fame induction in the near future for him?

Hmmm, tough call. On the one hand, he isn’t in great shape and has taken ownership of his past. On the other, he was there was Elizabeth died. If it’s me, I don’t pull the trigger on that induction at this time.
