WWE ADJUSTING THEIR PUSH OF ROMAN REIGNS, WHAT TNA CAN’T DO TO SAVE MONEY, THE MATCH WE WON’T SEE AT WRESTLEMANIA AND MORE

Was just wondering what you might think of this hypothetical match for the all hands on deck Wrestlemania next year. Cena/Hogan vs Austin/HHH or Rock. This could allow Austin and Hogan to just do a few signature moves while Cena and either HHH or Rock could do the bulk of the wrestling but WWE could advertise their 2 greatest draws ever in one match. Could it work and would everyone be on board?

I think Hogan would do it in a second. But he is just too old. Keep in mind, WWE had Jerry Lawler have a heart attack after wrestling when he was younger than Hogan. It would be a huge risk to put him in the ring. Austin is also north of 50 now and retired due to his physical condition. That doesn’t get better with age. Plus putting those guys in tag matches would hurt some of the potential luster. I don’t see it happening.

Is it just me or does Samoa Joe’s music in NXT just suck?  I think it should actually have some bass and make it feel more like he is a badass.

It didn’t do much for me either. I would like a new song too.

Do you think with the passing of Dusty that Stardust would go away and Cody Rhodes would return possibly tag teaming with Cesaro while Tyson is out injured?

I don’t see that happening. Stardust is a role Cody Rhodes wanted to play. And it wasn’t like he was getting a huge push before he started doing it.

Wouldn’t the easiest way for TNA to save money be to shorten their tv tapings to monthly like ROH does and make Impact a one hour tv show? They could streamline the product by cutting out the various unnecessary segments and just airing a few matches a week with short interviews to set up the matches.

They have TV deals across the world to deliver a two hour show. That is what Destination America contracted. So unless they were to change their TV deals, they can’t. And in theory, delivering half of the TV product means much less money coming in. Also, by doing three days at a time, they only have to fly talents once. If they did three tapings over three months, that is three sets of flights, which would cost more than pairing guys up in hotel rooms for a few nights.

Do you think the reaction Roman Reigns got when he won the Royal Rumble affected his chances of winning MITB?

We have said for months that WWE was pushing Reigns too hard, too fast, and that they needed to dial him back and let him “earn his spot” in the eyes of the fans. They agreed with that assessment and have done just that. I think they made the right decision. Also, the fact that a heel is much better carrying the briefcase, since it’s a cowardly move to cash in when the champ is vulnerable, also went into their thinking.
