I can see WWE putting in Bischoff, absolutely. He was with the company for a long time as a personality and was a great heel for them, plus they have already shown that WCW-era grudges will be ignored if it is to their benefit (see Madusa). I guess the mitigating factor would be whether Eric ever tries to run opposition to them again.
I don't really see them putting in Jim Crockett, however. While Crockett was extremely important, he was never an in-ring worker (as opposed to say Bill Watts, Verne Gagne or Eddie Graham) and I don't think his name would mean as much to the national audience in 2015. That's just my gut.
Much love to the site. My question has to do with the tag division. Over the past couple of years WWE has done a great job revitalizing the division. My question is why did all of The New Day defend the belts? Technically kofi and Big E won them, yet we see Xavier and Big E defending them AT MITB? Thoughts?
WWE made it clear they were working under the "Freebird" rule that all three members could legally defend the titles.
I saw you make reference to Cactus Jack Lost in Cleveland in a recent article. What was that?
Oh I am not sure you will be happy you asked. In 1993, WCW ran an angle where Cactus Jack was injured after being powerbombed on the floor by Vader. He disappeared from TV and over the course of updated filed by a female reporter who was never seen before or since, we learned that Cactus had been sent to a mental institution, had escaped, made his way to Cleveland, was living among the homeless and believed he was a sea captain. I'm not making any of this up. Then, all of this was ignored and forgotten and he returned to attack Vader. The end.
Where's former CZW owner John Zandig today?
To the best of my knowledge, Zandig is living in New Jersey and was working in the construction industry.
