2008 - TNA ran Liverpool, Great Britain.  Daniel Barbera filed the following report:

The Liverpool Olympia is SOLD OUT! There is no room left in the whole building, and there doesn't seem to be any empty seats around. Dixie Carter is around, shaking hands and talking to people in the front row around the ring. Jeremy Borash comes out and gets the crowd going, and he is also our ring announcer for the night. This event was being filmed for Global Impact, which was great.

Match 1: X-Division Tag Match - "The Guru" Sonjay Dutt & "Little Petey Pump" Petey Williams vs. The Motorcity Machine Guns; Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. Dutt gets heavy boos and Williams gets mixed reactions, however MCMG are cheered throughout the match. MCMG win in 10.29 after a Canadian Destroyer on Dutt after Williams gets blinded accidentally by Dutt.

Match 2: TNA Women's World Championship Match - Gail Kim vs. Awesome Kong (no Raisha Saeed). Kong gets mostly booed, and Kim plays to the crowd all throughout the match, at one point going for a cross body off the turnbuckle to the outside and narrowly missing the rail before being caught by Kong. Kong wins in 5.15 with an Awesome Bomb. Random note: It looked like one of Kong's dreads got pulled out during the match. That had to hurt!

Match 3: TNA World Tag Team Championship Match - James Storm and Robert Roode vs. LAX (no Salinas). Lots of "You can't wrestle!" chants aimed at Roode as they begin the match. Storm got busted open as Homicide does a dive to the outside through the middle of the ropes. Hernandez hits a couple of big spots during the match, including a dive over the ropes and an Eddie Tribute with the 3 Amigos and a Frog Splash. LAX win in 12.42 after Homicide hits a Gringo Cutter on Storm. Big pops for LAX throughout.

Match 4: 3-way Dance - Doug Williams vs. "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal vs. A.J. Styles. Biggest pops of the night for Lethal and Styles. Lots of back and forth action between all three, with everyone fighting into the crowd at one point. Styles pins Williams after a Spiral Tap after about 13 minutes (forgot to time this match). Styles cuts a promo afterwards, welcoming Williams to TNA for the World X Cup.

Before the next match, Dixie Carter comes out and thanks everyone in attendance, and talks about TNA and upcoming events that they are looking forward to.

Match 5: 20-Minute Time Limit - Booker T vs. Rhino. Lots of battling chants between both wrestlers, with "Let's go Booker" and "Let's go Rhino" going on well into the match. Booker was playing the heel tonight, taunting the crowd and almost going for the Spinarooni before flipping off the crowd. This led to Rhino taking Booker out and mocking him with doing a Spinarooni of his own, much to the crowds delight. Booker wins in 8.56 after a Scissors Kick. Rhino got a standing ovation as he left.

Kurt Angle comes out before the main event to talk about his neck injury, but how he was carrying on. He also talked about his feuds in Liverpool with Benoit (to mixed reactions) and Guerrero (to a massive ovation, with "Eddie!" chants starting off). He also disses WWE again, and praises TNA and how happy he is to be there.

Match 6 (Main Event): 60-Minute Time Limit for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship - Abyss vs. Samoa Joe. Joe does look tiny compared to Abyss live. They go to the outside, with Joe hitting Abyss with a cushioned chair before sitting Abyss down on the chair and nailing him with a running knee to the head into the railings. A ref bump halfway through leads to Earl Hebner running out and taking over, to the usual "You screwed Bret!" and "You steal T-shirts!" chants. Joe wins in 15.23 (with a slow count) after a Muscle Buster.

Afterwards, JB brings out all the wrestlers on the tour to sign autographs and take pictures. This being my first time to any wrestling event, I enjoyed it a hell of a lot. Went home with a bit of a hoarse throat. Definitely think TNA is the future if they can keep the wrestling at as high a standard as it was last night.

2010 - WWE presented Monday Night Raw.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV Report:

We are live from Charlotte, North Carolina and your announcers are Michael ‘Jordan’ Cole and Jerry ‘The King in the Queen City’ Lawler.

We start off with a look back at last week’s main event between John Cena and CM Punk that was interrupted by the NXT Originals. We hear Wade Barrett’s comments to Savannah earlier in the night as we see the beat down commence.

Wade Barrett is in the center of the ring and he has something to say. He tells everyone that his name is Wade Barrett. He says that he is the season one winner of NXT. The reason he is in the ring right now is because the general manager of Raw demanded that he come into the ring to apologize for his actions last week. He says that he wants to bring the rest of the NXT athletes to come to the ring so they can do it right. They come through the crowd and into the ring wearing their arm bands. All seven of the men are in the ring.

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler along with everyone else at ringside leave the ringside area.

Barrett wants Slater to apologize and he refuses. He says that he would do it again in a heartbeat. Barrett wants Gabriel to apologize. He refuses to apologize and he says that he has goosebumps from last week. Sheffield is the next to refuse to apologize. He says that he also has no regrets. Michael Tarver says that there is nobody in the WWE who can make him apologize. Darren Young refuses to apologize and he says that he had the time of his life last week. David Otunga wonders what he has to apologize. After the way they treated the rookies, everyone else should be apologizing.

Barrett says that the problem with NXT was that they were treated like dirt and animals. When you are treated like animals, you are going to behave like animals. They were made to change in a locker room no bigger than a broom cupboard. They were told to participant in ridiculous competitions. They had to deal with overzealous pros. Management changed the rules on a moment’s notice. They were eliminated on a whim. They tried to make an international joke out of all of them. The last time they looked, jokes were supposed to be funny and no one was laughing after last week’s Raw. They destroyed the ring and the WWE champion. They impressed everyone who watched them

Bret Hart’s music plays and he comes out. Bret asks them if they think they are proud. Eight on one doesn’t make you tough. It makes you cowards. Last week they attacked John Cena, CM Punk, the Straight Edge Society, security, the ring announcer, the time keeper, and a Hall of Famer.

Wade Barrett says that Daniel Bryan felt like him and had remorse so you will never see Daniel Bryan again.

Bret says that John Cena will still be in the main event at Fatal Four Way.

Barrett says that other than some overzealous pros, they have no problem with anyone in the locker room. They can stay out here all night and argue, but Barrett suggests that they get down to business. Barrett says that he has a contract and pay per view title match already, but the others have some demands.

Bret wants to know what their demands are.

Otunga says that they want guaranteed WWE contracts. They want their own private dressing rooms. They want first class travel accommodations. If they fail to comply with even one of their demands, last week was just the beginning.

Wade reminded Bret that Mr. McMahon informed Bret that he will have to make some difficult decisions. Wade says that this is an easy decision because these guys are the future of the company. All they need are contracts.

Bret says that he has to go and find fresh new talent, but with that in mind, his answer is no. Bret says that he will not sign any of them.

Wade says that they are making a big mistake. Bret says that they made the mistake by attacking John Cena. The truth is that because of their actions, Wade is not the new breakout star for WWE. Wade has lost his title match. Bret says that Wade Barrett is fired. Bret tells the rest of them to get out of the ring or they will be physically removed for trespassing.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a Moments Ago Moment when Bret Hart fired Wade Barrett.

Jerry Lawler says that you cannot bully your way into the WWE.

Josh asks for his thoughts about what happened last week and at the start of the night. Orton says that he respects what they did because he knows what it takes to make an impact. He would love to let Ted co-guest host, but there is no chance he will do it. Mark calls Ted a spoiled daddy’s boy. Ted does not realize that Big Show is standing behind Virgil and Ted while Mark tries to challenge Ted.

Show wants to know what Ted is trying to do. Show tells Ted that him and Mark will face Ted and Virgil tonight. Ted agrees to the match. Ted and Virgil leave. Mark celebrates what just happened and then he tells Show that he was really an ice skater and not a wrestler. The Bellas are still there and they are no longer impressed with Mark. He says that there was a portion of him that admires what they did last week. He says that he is reminded of the saying that desperate times call for desperate measures. He felt that they needed to make a statement and they picked the biggest target. Cena says that he is used to it. Cena says that their plan was almost genius. Their problem was that they were blinded by their ignorance. Their problem was with WWE Management, but they decided to take Raw away from the WWE Universe. Cena says that they made five million new enemies. Then Cena destroyed the ring which is considered sacred ground. Now every WWE Superstar wants their head on a plate. Cena mentions that Wade Barrett was fired tonight and that was a bold decision, but it will not fix the problem. If the group was lawless enough to stop Raw, a misdemeanor is the least of their worries. Lucky says that he saw what R Truth did to Hornswoggle on Raw and he says that was great. Lucky says that after what happened last week, Lucky says that the second that Hornswoggle gets back, he is going to boot him in his face.

Match Number Two: Lucky Cannon with Tyson Kidd versus Titus O’Neil

Titus punches Lucky and then he connects with an elbow in the corner. Titus with an Irish whip and a back breaker as Lucky comes out of the corner. Titus chokes Lucky with his boot and then he slams Lucky and gets a near fall. Lucky rolls to the floor and Titus follows after Lucky. Lucky kicks Titus as he re-enters the ring. Lucky with kicks to Titus in the corner and then he chokes Titus in the ropes.

Lucky with a forearm and boot to the head and then he chokes Titus in the ropes again. Cannon gets a near fall and follows it with knees to the back and then he applies a rear chin lock while keeping his knee in the back. Cannon pulls Titus back to the mat and he kicks Titus again. Titus with a kick and punch but Cannon with punches to Titus.

The referee stops the count when he sees Lucky’s foot under the ropes so he pulls Titus into the center of the ring and he gets a near fall. Cannon with a leg drop and then he gets a near fall. Cannon with a boot to the chest and punch to the head and gets another near fall. Titus with an Irish whip but Cannon takes Titus to the mat again and gets a near fall.

Lucky returns to the rear chin lock as he continues to work on Titus’ back. Cannon with an elbow to the neck and then Lucky mocks Titus’ gestures and dog bark. Cannon with a side head lock but Titus pushes Cannon away. Titus with punches followed by a shoulder tackle or two. Titus with a flying clothesline and it is time for Titus to show Lucky the proper way to bark.

Titus with a fallaway slam on Cannon and Titus gets a near fall because Cannon grabs the rope. Cannon rolls to the apron but Cannon with a shot to the throat. Cannon gets Titus up for the Lucky Strike but Titus hits Clash of the Titus for the three count.

Winner: Titus O’Neil

We go to commercial.

We are back and it is time to find out who is going to be going home without Redemption. Maryse says that it has been a rough night but one of them will be going home. Matt says that they have devoted their lives for this moment. Off to the NXT Random Eliminatron 14502.3 and the unfortunate rookie is: Lucky Cannon.

Lucky and Tyson cannot believe that he was eliminated. Matt and Maryse appear shocked as well.

Lucky tells everyone that he is not upset or angry. He says that this show is a joke. He says that he is too good for NXT. He says that he should be on Smackdown or Raw taking care of Randy Orton or John Cena.

Titus O’Neil starts to sing Lucky off.

Maryse says that this decision is unfair. Lucky tells everyone to show her some respect. Maryse want to tell Lucky something. She say that she appreciate everything that Lucky did for her and the expensive gifts. She has something to tell him. She found out that the purse he gave her wasn’t even worth five dollars. Maryse calls Lucky a cheap loser.

Lucky starts to say something but Maryse slaps Lucky and then she walks away.

2012 - TNA broadcast Impact Wrestling.  Stu Carapola filed the following TV report:

Welcome to the Impact Wrestling Report on PWInsider.com!

We open with a video package looking at the recent history of James Storm, who sat home relaxing with his family and clearing his mind until his daughter asked him if he was going back to wrestling. We then see clips of Storm superkicking Crimson's teeth down his throat, then we come to the Impact Zone where our opening match is ready to go right now!

Ultimate X Match - X Division Title: Austin Aries vs Chris Sabin vs Zima Ion

Ion tries to run up the corner as soon as the bell rings, but Aries and Sabin take him out before going at it with each other. Aries gets an STO and a pendulum elbow on Sabin, he tries to go up top but Ion grabs him and hits a back suplex into a facebuster. Ion now tries to get to the belt, but Sabin stops him and hits a tornado DDT that sends Ion to the outside. Sabin tries to climb, but Aries catches up to him and they fight on the top rope until Sabin knocks Aries off. Sabin starts climbing across the ropes, but Aries gets his leg and drags him down into the ring. Aries gets Sabin in a fireman's carry and runs him back and forth from corner to corner, then does an airplane spin. Ion tries to ambush Aries, but is summarily countered and dumped to the floor. Aries backdrops Sabin over the top rope and onto Ion, then he comes through the ropes with a heat seeking missile that takes out both men. Aries almost makes it to the belt, but Ion drags him down and they go at it in the middle of the ring. Aries gets away and goes to the hanging rope, Ion tries to climb the ropes and powerbomb Aries, but Aries turns it to a top rope Frankensteiner, and he follows that with the IED and brainbuster. Aries climbs across the ropes with his arms and legs and gets the belt.

Winner: Austin Aries

Sabin is outside looking pissed that he lost again. Aries gets the microphone and says he made some pretty big claims and said there's nobody here he can't beat, and that he's the best pound for pound athlete in TNA. People thought that was a lot of hot air at first, but he kept knocking it out of the park, and regardless of whether he's the first match or last match, he's always the main event. He's not satisfied with the X Division Title, and he's not here to earn respect, he's here to take it.

Hulk Hogan's music hits, and Aries says he's just the man he wanted to see. We'll find out what he wants after commercial.

Okay, we're back and Hogan says he can hear how loud the fans get when he comes out, but to say he's the main event no matter where on the card he is, well, that's a pretty tall order. Hogan knows what it's like to be the main event and to headline the big shows, and the one thing he's never done is get the kind of goosebumps he gets when he sees Aries wrestle. Hogan says he'll stake his reputation on this, forget the pound for pound crap, Aries is the greatest thing he's ever seen in the ring. Aries says that's great, and now all he needs to know is how to get into the main event. Hogan says he can put him into the main event of Destination X, but on one condition: he can't have one man as the champion of both divisions, so Aries has to give up the X Division Title. The stakes are high because, if Aries wins, he's the World Champion. If he loses, he walks away with nothing. Hogan and everyone watching believe in Aries and they know he can do it. Aries says he worked his butt off for that title, and asks if Hogan wants him to just hand it over. Hogan says no, he wants him to become the Greatest Man Who Ever Lived, and he'll give him a week to give Hogan his decision.

We see our first Slammiversary moment, as Dixie Carter raves about the crowd that showed up to the PPV, then we see Abyss helping his brother Joseph Park win his match. We then go to catering as Joseph Park was raving about his match at Slammiversary, but all the backstage folks listening get up and walk away when Bully Ray shows up. Bubba wants to know where his brother is, and Joseph Park says last time he checked, he was putting Bubba through a table. Bubba flips the table Park is eating from over and says that he's going to find Abyss.

TV Title Match: Devon vs Hernandez

Hernandez sneak attacked Devon before the bell, wiping him out with a dive over the top rope as Devon made his entrance, then quickly rolls him inside and goes for a cover, but only gets 2. Hernandez with a slingshot shoulderblock from the outside, but still only gets 2. Hernandez gets a bearhug and squeezes, but Devon fights his way out and takes Hernandez out with a flying shoulderblock of his own. Devon off the ropes with another shoulderblock and a neckbreaker, followed by a diving headbutt. Devon with a running clothesline in the corner, but Hernandez comes out of nowhere with a Pounce for 2. Hernandez skins the cat onto the top rope, briefly loses his footing, and comes off with a flying clothesline. Devon sends him to the ropes and hits the spinebuster for the win.

Winner: Devon

We go back to last week when Christopher Daniels exposed Dixie Carter's treachery, and then her non-wrestling husband laid out AJ Styles. We then go backstage to AJ saying it's time to go public about what's going on, and Dixie says that people will get hurt. AJ says people are already getting hurt, and the longer they keep it quiet, the more ammunition they give Daniels and Kazarian.

We see Bobby Roode arriving at the arena earlier today as he prepares for his title defense later tonight against Ken Anderson.

It's time to kick off the 2012 edition of the Bound For Glory Series!

Bound For Glory Series Gauntlet Match

AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy start us off, Hardy gets a side headlock and holds on tight. AJ shoves him off and hits a dropkick that sends Hardy out to the apron, but Hardy slingshots his way back in with a dropkick. Rob Van Dam's music hits, so I guess this is going to be done with Royal Rumble-style entrances. RVD takes both Hardy and AJ out with a flurry of kicks, then literally monkey flips AJ completely across the ring before hitting Hardy with Rolling Thunder as we go to commercial.

We're back, and Brutus Magnus and Bully Ray have joined Hardy, Van Dam, and Styles in the ring. Judging by the fact that AJ is trying to dump Magnus over the top rope, I would guess that this Gauntlet Match really is just a Royal Rumble in disguse. Bubba attacks everyone in the ring and tries to dump AJ, but AJ hangs on as we count down to the next participant. Kurt Angle comes out next and suplexes the crap out of everyone before going toe to toe with Bubba. The clock counts down and the next entrant is...the Pope! Hey, I wonderi f he still hangs out with Devon's kids. He goes after Magnus and AJ, but gets nailed from behind by Bubba. Bubba tosses Hardy to the ring apron and then knocks him to the floor, so we have our first elimination. Suddenly, Abyss comes out from under the ring and gets on the apron right behind Bubba. Bubba doesn't see him, so Abyss grabs him by the neck and drags him out as well. We're back at commercial.

We're back, and while there were no eliminations during the break, Robbie E did join while we were at break. Rob Van Dam gets dumped, and then Christopher Daniels makes his entrance just in time to catch a slingshot clothesline from AJ. AJ absolutely unloads on Daniels, Angle tries to hold Daniels, but AJ accidentally hit Angle with the enziguiri. Daniels quickly grabs AJ from behind and dumps him, then picks up the unconscious Angle and tosses him as well. Samoa Joe is out now, and he tears through everyone but Magnus. Robbie E makes the mistake of slapping Joe in the face, so Joe headbutts and eliminates him. Daniels and Pope try to dump Joe, but Magnus makes the save. Joe thanks him by chopping him in the chest, and they start going at it in the middle of the ring. Magnus takes Joe out with a big boot, but Joe ducks a charge and Magnus goes out to the floor and is eliminated. Joe and Pope ping pong Daniels, and now James Storm makes his entrance. He immediately dumps Pope, then backdrops Daniels and gives him a Codebreaker before clotheslining him over the top rope. We're down to Joe and Storm, and they trade blows, clotheslines, and big boots. Joe tries to dump Storm, but Storm skins the cat and dumps Joe to the apron. Joe gets the Kokina Clutch, but Storm drops down and Joe goes throat first across the top rope. Storm superkicks Joe to the floor, and that's all she wrote.

Winner: James Storm

Storm says the last time he was in that ring, he thought his luck had run out, but after spending the last couple of months at home thinking things over, he's back. He knew what wrestling meant to him, but he didn't know what it meant to his little girl, and coming back to TNA, he didn't know what he meant to the fans, but he wants to thank everyone for the reaction they gave him. He promised his family and he'll promise the fans now: he came back to TNA to be the World Champion, and he wants Bobby Roode to know that he hopes and prays that he will still be the champion when the series is over.

Bobby Roode is backstage saying that he's not intimidated, because Storm's just jealous. For now, though, he just has to worry about an asshole he'll have to fight a little later.

We're back, and Kurt Angle is yelling at AJ Styles backstage for letting the thing with Daniels and Kazarian get under his head. AJ promises to get focus, and Angle seems happy with that.

Madison Rayne vs Knockouts Champion Brooke Tessmacher

Brooke and Madison trade takedowns to start, and Brooke gets a drop toehold and a front facelock, but Madison rams her into the corner and drops her on the back of her head. Madison chokes Brooke and catches her with a running forearm in the corner, followed by a spinning bulldog for 2. Brooke gets a neckbreaker and starts firing back with right hands, then takes Madison out with a series of clotheslinesand a flying forearm. Brooke with a flying bulldog out of the corner for 2, but Madison blocks her finish and goes for that neckbreaker thing she does, but Brooke counters to a version of the Pepsi Twist for the win.

Winner: Brooke Tessmacher

Brooke Hogan is backstage with Gail Kim, and she says she's trying to decide who to put in the ring with Brooke for the title next week and is thinking of a four way. Gail isn't down with that because she has a rematch clause in her contract, and Brooke says that she gets to decide when the rematch happens, and since Gail doesn't want to be part of the four way next week, Gail will have to wait and Brooke tells her to enjoy her vacation.

It's main event time!

World Title Match: Bobby Roode vs Ken Anderson

Anderson goes right atter Roode, whipping him hard into the corner and then running him over with a clothesline. Roode grabs Anderson by the tights and Tully's him out to the floor, but he misses a dive over the ropes and Anderson whips him hard into the ring steps as we go to commercial.

We're back, and Roode has Anderson in a rear chinlock after taking him out with a clothesline during the commercial. Anderson makes it to his feet and escapes, then gets a rollup for 2, followed by a backslide for another 2, but a second backslide attempt sees Roode counter to a neckbreaker for 2. Roode with a kneedrop out of the corner for 2, then he goes back to the rear chinlock. Anderson slips out and starts a comeback, hitting a series of back elbows, clotheslines, and a neckbreaker. Anderson with a twisting enziguiri and then sets up for the Mic Check, but Roode counters to the Crippler Crossface right in the middle of the ring. Anderson rolls Roode to his back, but only gets 2. Anderson with a Finlay Roll for 2, and Roode rolls out to the apron to try and catch a breather. He grabs Anderson's arm and drops it across the top rope, then rams Anderson shoulder first into the corner and puts him back in the Crippler Crossface. Anderson tries to hold on, but is eventually forced to tap out.

Winner: Bobby Roode

Dixie Carter and AJ Styles are backstage and they agree that they'll need to come clean...next week. Speaking of Dixie, we take another look back at Slammiversary as Dixie made Sting the first inductee into the TNA Hall Of Fame. And Speaking of Sting, he's backstage, and he's...WALKING!

We go to Jeremy Borash, who introduces a video package with several TNA wrestlers discussing Sting for his Hall of Fame induction and putting over how much he's done for the company. We go back to the Impact Zone as Borash now introduces Sting himself, who says that Slammiversary 2012 will go down as one of the best nights he's ever been a part of in wrestling. He didn't win the title, but he took a huge hunk out of Bobby Roode's hide, and he can't even tell us what being the first inductee in the TNA Hall of Fame means to him. The crowd chants "you deserve it" at Sting, but he says that he was standing next to a lot of other talented guys who deserve it too, and he specifically names Jeff and Jerry Jarrett for starting the company, and also wants to thank Dixie Carter-oh wait, three guys in masks jump into the ring and beat the crap out of Sting. They just keep going and going and are still pounding on Sting as we go off the air.

Thanks for following the Impact Wrestling Report, I'll be back tomorrow to discuss Impact and more with Dave Scherer on the Stu & Pid Show!

2013 - Al "The Dog" Green, who worked for WCW as one half of the Wrestling Crew with Marcus Laurinaitis and as one half of the Master Blasters tag team with Kevin Nash before getting a run as "The Dog" during the last year of the promotion, passed  at the age of 58 in Florida. He had been battling health issues for some time.

Green had several runs in WCW. After being trained by Steve Keirn and working for Championship Wrestling from Florida, he was hired when Nash's original partner for the Blasters left the company. The team made a few appearances but never really took off.

While Nash was repackaged several times (immediately as Oz, then later as Vinnie Vegas before finding his stardom as Diesel in the WWF), Green left WCW and began working the local Florida scene, including the IWF promoted by Eddie Mansfield and

Green began teaming with Road Warrior Animal's brother Marcus Laurinaitis (who had been working Stateside and in Japan as The Terminator) as The Terminators. The team was his key to returning to WCW as they were hired and re-christened the Wrestling Crew with Marcus as Rage and Green now nicknamed Fury

Early 1993 WCW was nowhere near the powerhouse that the promotion would become just a few years later. The company was mostly taping TV for TBS with the Crew making regular appearances as an undercard team working with the likes of 2 Cold Scorpio & Marcus Alexander (not yet Buff) Bagwell and the team of Tom Zenk & Johnny Gunn. The duo worked there for several years until their run ended. They were never a truly pushed commodity, just a team that was on the roster there to have matches and do underneath programs.  They were a solid team.

After their WCW run ended, the team headed to Europe, working for Otto Wanz' CWA, capturing the promotion's tag straps. They also toured All Japan Pro Wrestling in 1995.

During the height of the Monday Night Wars, WCW was on a hiring spree and Green was again back with the company, this time as a singles wrestler. Again, he was never given a strong push and was there more as a competitor working the secondary TV shows having matches and putting over bigger stars. He was pretty much a regular on that era's version of WCW Saturday Night.

During the latter days of the company, Green found a niche as a singles wrestler. He was nicknamed "The Dog" and teamed with Brian Knobbs as part of a hardcore tag team managed by Dave Finlay, who at the time, was out of action after a freak leg injury going through a table. The original plan was for Sabu to have been Knobbs' partner but when legal issues over whether he was signed to a contract with ECW or not kept him from coming in, WCW looked from within to fill the spot. As part of the character, Green would act like a dog, including drinking out of a toilet and barking.

When WCW shut down in 2001, Green had made his final appearances as a wrestler on a national stage but being from the Florida area, was close with Hulk Hogan and his group of friends, leading to a few appearances on Hogan's VH-1 reality series.

In recent years, Green had been suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a progressive disease that makes it hard to breathe. Of late, he had been using an oxygen tank 24/7 and had been battling health issues related to the disease for some time.

On behalf of everyone associated with PWInsider.com, we'd like to express our deepest condolences to the family, friends and fans of Al Green.

2013 - The documentary "Wrestling with Disaster" held a live event at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA.  Mike Johnson filed the following TV report:

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing coverage of the "Wrestling with Disaster" event, which is being filmed for documentary footage for the film of the same name, at the 2300 (ECW) Arena in Philadelphia, PA.

Danny Doring vs. Bilvis Wesley

This was billed as a grudge match 14 years in the making!

Doring was nearly wiped out rebounding off the ropes as they were ridiculously loose. They went back and forth with some decent wrestling. Wiles used the Muta Lock for a submission. Doring came back with a top rope legdrop for the pin.

Your winner, Danny Doring!

Fun opener.

Jimmy Jact Cash vs. Kryptic Keegan vs. Luis “The Punisher” Martinez

They worked hard and at one point brawled around ringside. Martinez went for a rana but was caught by Cash, who was going for a powerbomb. Keegan kicked them both from behind and Martinez went down rudely.

Martinez came off the ropes with a backflip into a bodypress for a two count. Keegan went for a spear but Martinez moved and stomped him as he went down for a two count. Cash returned to the bout and lowblowed Martinez. He picked him up for a one armed powerbomb and pinned him.

Your winner, Jimmy Jact Cash!

It was now time for the Hardcore Hall of Fame ceremony.

They aired a really nice video for the inductees.

The first inductee was The Blue Meanie. Out came Al Snow as a surprise inductor. Snow was hidden from even Meanie, who had no idea he was here until he came to the ring. He said that Meanie was proof that anyone can chase their dreams and said that a fat kid walked into his school in Lima, Ohio and he went on to be his brother, a WWE star and most importantly, a star here.

Meanie said that he was a very blessed and lucky kid who grew up “the boy in the bubble” and never should have been a wrestler. When he told his family what he wanted to do, he was told, “That’s nice Brian.” He thanked his mother and his grandparents for supporting him and thanked Phyllis Lee for pointing him to Snow’s school and for helping a lot of the boys over the years. He said that he went to Snow’s school and was wondering what he was doing there and Snow gave him a great pep talk and it made him get back in the ring and work hard.

He said that he was an original bleacher bum and thanked Stevie Richards and Raven for discovering him on a Norm Connors’ show. He said that the banner being here means the world to him. He talked about Ted Petty’s banner being the first one to be flown here and that to have one for himself next to Petty and all of the other legends, it makes him the luckiest man on Earth and he thanked everyone. He was pretty emotional. He said the ECW fans could make him or break him and they made him. He said he didn’t make a million dollars but is rich in family and friends in the business.

Jason Knight came out to induct Gary Wolf and Anthony Durante, The Pitbulls. Knight said that he was asked to write a speech but he couldn’t do it at home, he had to return to his second home, this building to do it. He thanked everyone for the kind words. He read a nice speech about the Pitbulls.

Gary Wolf said that he’s been waiting ten years for this and thanked Pitbull 2. He thanked everyone and said that he had the best tag partners to work with in this building, which he said they helped build. He said that even with a broken neck, he never gave up and told everyone to never give up.

Tod Gordon came out to induct 2 Cold Scorpio. He said with all due respect to everyone from ECW’s Triple Threat, Scorpio was a one man Triple Threat. If you needed someone to wrestle against the likes of Dean Malenko or Eddie Guerrero, it was Scorpio. If you needed someone to brawl against The Bruise Brothers or the Sandman, it was Scorp. It needed someone to fly against Sabu, it was Scorp. He could do it all. Scorpio thanked everyone for their support.

Out came Roger from the Arena and Zac Connor to induct Shane Douglas. Before they could, he cut a typical “Franchise” speech and said he told the NWA, WWF and TNA to kiss his ass and he wanted to say The Pitbulls could kiss his ass as well and so can any Hall of Fame that was including people like Tod Gordon. He said that he would finish Wolf tonight forever. He walked out. I really didn’t like them doing an angle out of something that is supposed to be about honoring the careers (and in some of their cases, the lives) of the talent, but I guess it was technically supposed to build for the main event.

Joel Gertner came out for a promo and said the building was now called the “2300 Arena” for the amount of women he f***ed here. That was a great line.

Blue Meanie & Little Guido & Al Snow vs. The Monster Factory’s Mike Spanos & Marc Cruz & Greywolf

Snow and Guido were mystery partners. They did some good comedy stuff early. Snow used head to set up Meanie getting the pin. It was a lot of fun, silly stuff that probably wouldn’t translate into a report.

Greywolf had a cool look and I thought he did a nice job trying to make himself look unique.

Your winners, the BWO/FBI/JOB Squad All Stars!

Monster Factory champion Joe Gibson vs. Dr. Porter

Gibson looks like an old school badass. Porter is pretty big himself. They went back and forth working each other over. Porter nailed a BIG belly to back suplex and then nailed another. They went back and forth until Gibson scored the win. They worked really, really hard. Good match.

Your winner, Joe Gibson!

Tyler Fullington vs. Shaheem Ali

Tyler looks a lot like his father. Ali locked up with him and forced him into the corner, then broke clean. Fullington and Ali battle back and forth. Ali scored a two count after a clothesline and drilling Tyler with a series of right hands.

Ali took over on Tyler and went to the top but was tossed off. Tyler went to nail him but was attacked from behind by Ali’s second.

Your winner, Tyler Fullington!

They kept working over Tyler and New Jack’s music hit. He tossed a trash can full of weapons into the ring and began working over everyone in sight, saving Tyler. He destroyed everyone.

New Jack took the mic and pointed out a kid in the crowd and said, “You weren’t even around when I was the baddest man in the ring.” He told Tyler that he has stories about himself and his old man that you wouldn’t believe and started laughing. He said that he retired last year but he will still show up and handle his business and said he is the baddest man in this ring, bar none.

Sandman was originally booked but double-booked himself with HOH in San Diego and is there.

Corey Kastle vs. Lance Anoia

Kastle attacked Lance with some strong kicks but missed a charge in the corner and ate several dropkicks. He powdered out. They battled back and forth. Kastle dropkicked Lance and kicked him as he charged in.

Kastle nailed a suplex for a two count. He nailed a legdrop for another two count. They went back and forth until Lance nailed a flying leg lariat for a two count. Lance nailed a back suplex and a splash for a two count. Lance went for a missile dropkick but missed and Kastle covered him for a two count.

Lance caught him on the ropes and nailed a muscle buster. They battle back and forth until Lance nailed a Superfly Splash and scored the pin.

Your winner, Lance Anoia!

Good match.

Good match.

Dog Collar Match: Shane Douglas vs. Pitbull Gary Wolf

They brawled all over the floor and nailed each other with weapons. Shane was bleeding early. They battled over the railing into the corner of the building and then back into the ring.

Shane worked over Gary for a long time. Wolf was busted open but made a comeback and peppered Shane in the corner. They went back to the floor and brawled back into the ring. Shane was worked over and dragged into the ring. Wolf suplexed him.

Shane made a comeback and slammed Wolf, who kicked out. Shane beat down Wolfe, who made the comeback. They continued fighting and went to a time limit draw.

They worked really hard and the crowd was really into the brawling in the crowd.

Cliff Compton & Samu & Alofo vs. The Powers of Pain & Angel (with Devito)

Compton and Angel started off. They did a test of strength. Compton was sent back into the ropes and rebounded with a dropkick. Alofo tagged in and went back and forth with Angel.

The Powers of Pain and Angel worked over Compton. Angel charged Alofa and missed a charge in the corner and took a crazy bump. Compton tagged in and brawled to the floor with Angel. Everyone battled in the ring.

Angel charged Compton towards a chair but Compton escaped and sent Angel into the chair, then rolled him up and scored the pin.

Your winner, the Samoans and Cliff Compton!

2 Cold Scorpio vs. Sabu vs. Manu

Nice reaction for Sabu. They all battled back and forth. Sabu nailed a slingshot somersault legdrop on Manu. He locked in a chinlock but Scorpio nailed him with a dropkick. Scorp and Mani went back and forth with some stiff shots.

A table was brought into the ring. Manu worked over Scorp and nailed a nice splash off the ropes. Sabu drilled him with a chair for a two count. Sabu placed Manu facefirst on the table and came off the ropes with an Arabian Facebuster.

Scorp sent Sabu over the top to the floor and dropped the Bomb on Manu, scoring the pin.

Your winner, 2 Cold Scorpio.

Solid main event. Manu was the surprise here, looking pretty good. Scorp can still go and Sabu gave the fans what they wanted, a big table spot.

Scorp took the mic and thanked everyone for coming. He praised Manu and said they are tagging him in and asking him to carry on the legacy. Sabu and Scorp shook his hand and showed him respect.

That’s all from Philly!
