We take a look at what happened with Seth Rollins on Raw this week.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Kevin Owens makes his way to the ring.
Owens has the mic and he says Monday night on Raw, he came out here and he told John Cena the truth. He told John Cena that people are tired of him. He told him that they are tired of listening to him talking about hustle, loyalty, and respect, and never giving up. Then John did what he usually does, he makes light of the situation, cracked a couple of terrible jokes and sat at the announce table while the announcers called him arrogant.
If you ask me, they are confusing arrogance for confidence. Why wouldn’t he be arrogant? On his first night on Raw, he laid John Cena out. In his first match in WWE, he beat John Cena in the middle of this ring. Last week, thanks to him, history was made when the NXT Title was defended for the first time on Smackdown. Last Monday on Raw, two champions stood in this ring and put their respective titles on the line, Neville came to the ring to accept that challenge and Neville chose him. Owens made history again as he retained his title and while John Cena sat there and watched it.
It must have been surreal to have John Cena sit there and have the future pass him by. Kevin says maybe he is a little arrogant, but with what he has accomplished, who wouldn’t be? He has made more of an impression on the WWE in a few weeks than most have in their entire careers. On Sunday, it will just be the beginning. He will prove that he is here to stay when he beats John Cena one more time.
Kevin suggests making some more history. How about an NXT Title Open Challenge. The Champ . . . is here. Kevin Owens is the man to beat. You want some . . . come get some.
Heath Slater comes out and he has something to say. Slater says John Cena has been dodging him for months with his little US Open Challenge and he is pretty sure that the reason is you. Tonight, your NXT Open Challenge is accepted by Heath Slater . . . BAYBAY.
