PAUL HEYMAN COMMENTS ON STEVE AUSTIN'S RESPONSE TO THE BROCK LESNAR QUESTION

By Steven Fernandes on 2015-06-10 20:28:16

Paul Heyman was a guest on Chael Sonnen's podcast, and he was asked about the potential of Lesnar-Austin happening at WrestleMania. Heyman said he did legitimately catch Austin off-guard when he asked him, and that he went into promo-mode because Austin believes everything about the "Stone Cold" character is real. He said he could not sit through an hour podcast with Austin, without that question coming up. He said the chances of the match happening is zero, and Austin will give a "plethora of reasons" why it won't happen.

Sonnen said that with WrestleMania being in Texas, Austin has to be involved in the event in some way. Heyman said he hopes so, but he is not interested if Austin ends up doing a match with anybody other than Lesnar. So he raised the question for selfish reasons.

When Sonnen said he felt Heyman is working him, and the match is indeed going to take place, he responded that if there was any chance that the match was happening, Austin would play up the rumors and build anticipation for the match, but since he squashed the rumor on his own podcast, he feels it is not going to happen.
