LOTS OF RING OF HONOR NEWS AND NOTES

By Mike Johnson on 2015-05-19 09:10:00
While nothing has been announced officially, the general feeling after speaking to a number of wrestlers and people who work for each company, is that there will be a greater relationship between New Japan and ROH going forward.

Former TNA champion Bobby Roode visited ROH before the Toronto iPPV this past Friday.

Longtime Border City Wrestling promoter Scott D'Amore, who was with TNA and is now working with Jeff Jarrett, was at the TV Taping this past Saturday. In many ways, the best TNA run creatively was when D'Amore was a key player.

ROH will be putting a number of new events on sale this week, including returns to Las Vegas and Milwaukee.

Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks noted he is taking the next month off for the impending birth of his family's new addition. Our best to the entire family.

ROH returns to the 2300 Arena on Friday 8/21. Tickets are already on sale at www.rohwrestling.com.

The word I am hearing is that the company is figuring out ways to "stack the deck" for the 8/22 return to MCU Field in Brooklyn, NY since it's not only a big stadium show but Summerslam eve, similar to how they try to bring something special to their Wrestlemania week events.

No current plans for Alberto el Patron at the moment, but the door is not closed on a return.

Jushin Liger and KUSHIDA are said to be huge fans of Cheeseburger. ROH is releasing the first Cheeseburger shirt soon.
