WWE HALL OF FAMER, AWA FOUNDER VERNE GAGNE PASSES AWAY

Former AWA founder and ten time AWA World Heavyweight champion Verne Gagne, who was inducted into the WCW Hall of Fame in 1993 and the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006, passed away earlier today, PWInsider.com has learned. He was 86 years old. His passing was announced by Gene Okerlund on Okerlund's Twitter this evening.

We are awaiting further details but wish to express our deepest condolences to the Gagne family, their friends and obviously Verne's fans.
