By Mike Johnson on 2015-04-08 16:16:04
Wrestling documentary "At What Cost? Anatomy of Pro Wrestling" will make it's premiere on 4/25 at 2 PM in Syracuse, NY at the Palace Theater as part of Springfest. The film features, among others, Greg Valentine, Diamond Dallas Page and Jake Roberts. The film was directed and produced by Mark Chervinsky, a Central Square-native who attended film school at Syracuse University. Chervinsky currently lives in Los Angeles and works as an editor on reality television shows such as “The Biggest Loser,” “The Apprentice” and “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.” His last film, a documentary about a tiki artist called “The Sophisticated Misfit,” premiered at the Newport Beach Film Festival, where Chervinsky won the Maverick Filmmaker Award. You can check out the trailer below:

After a long period where nothing was done with the footage, I am told John Philapavage and Kevin Kiernan have finally started working on the director's cut of "Barbed Wire City", their critically-acclaimed ECW documentary.

The next book from historian Tim Hornbaker "Capitol Revolution" about the origins of the WWWF will be officially released on 3/24. I've just started reading it and it's fascinating stuff on the origins of the NYC territory and what eventually becomes WWE.

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla announced their 2015 Battle of Los Angeles will take place the weekend of 8/28-8/30 in Reseda, CA. They have also released the trailer for their latest DVD "Don't Sweat the Technique" -

Northeast Wrestling champion Matt Taven vs. Alberto el Patron will headline the 4/10 NEW return to Danbury, CT featuring Matt Hardy vs. Brian Anthony, plus Michael Bennett vs. Caleb Konley, Mickie James and Road Warrior Animal appearing. Alberto, Harlem Heat, Maria Kanellis, John Morrison and more are working for NEW the weekend of 4/17 and 4/18 as well. For details, visit www.NortheastWrestling.com.
