THE FUTURE OF STING, THE ROCK'S WORK ETHIC AND LOTS MORE BACKSTAGE NOTES FROM WRESTLEMANIA

For those who were asking why last night's Triple H vs. Sting ended sort of seemed like a sendoff for Sting, that is because there have been no decisions made as to whether he will be wrestling going forward. Sting is open to doing more if WWE wants him to. He is scheduled to be backstage at tonight's Raw.

The original plan for last night's main event was for it to run 35 minutes with entrances but the PPV was running long. I believe WWE pulled a planned video feature on Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt in order to add more time to the final matches.

If you think you know work ethic, think of this: Rock worked on Saturday Night Live all week and did the live broadcast at 11:30 PM Eastern. He went off the air at 1 AM and rushed to an airport in New Jersey to catch a chartered private plane at 4 AM, flew overnight to California and immediately went to WWE and was in the ring working out his segment with Triple H by 12 PM Pacific. That man is something else.

As Dave Scherer mentioned yesterday, Bray Wyatt suffered a badly sprained ankle while working out in the ring prior to Wrestlemania. It was so bad that for a long time he couldn't stand or walk on it. He wore a cast on his ankle for the remainder of the evening before heading to the ring.

During Triple H's entrance, obviously there was a huge "Terminator" theme to help promote the new film. I was told that WWE was scrambling all Wrestlemania week to lock in Arnold Schwarzenegger to do the voiceovers needed for the entrance and that he didn't actually do them until the night before at the WWE Hall of Fame. There were some people in production having heart attacks over that over the course of Mania week.

There was a lot of NXT love last night at Levi's Stadium at Wrestlemania. A huge portion of the crowd booed loudly when Big Show eliminated Hideo Itami. Beyond the Damien Mizdow turn, it was the biggest reaction anything in the bout received. There was also a massive "NXT" chant live when they were showing the video clips of the Battle Royal from the Kickoff show during the PPV.

The backstage vignette with Daniel Bryan was designed to give Bryan and the Intercontinental championship some raised credibility.

Rob Van Dam was backstage at the PPV.

Former WWE star Sylvan Grenier was backstage at Wrestlemania.

Former TNA star SoCal Val was at the Wrestlemania Afterparty.
