Sam Roberts did a good interview with Daniel Bryan where the former champion was very candid.
Bryan said he would switch places to be in the main event of WrestleMania in a second. He said that he and the other guys in the IC Ladder match want to go out and steal the show.
When asked, he acknowledged how he was so over at the Rumble in Philly and then was eliminated. He said he takes his marching orders.
He was asked about his health and he said that his neck was actually hurt going into WrestleMania last year but he feels better this year. He said he is constantly testing his neck. He said it’s OK, but is it OK to wrestle? We will see. That was kind of scary to hear, but again he said he does feel better than he did last year at this time.
When asked if WWE is concerned about getting hurt and that is why they don’t push him at the top. In a telling comment, he said it’s more that WWE doesn’t see him as marketable. He said that the higher ups want him to dial back on his big spots so he can have a longer career but he sees himself as an artist.
