It would have made sense to include him, but given that he's being pushed (well, in theory) as part of a tag team, he's involved in that storyline instead.
What are the odds CM Punk accompanies AJ Lee to the WWE Hall of Fame this weekend?
I don't think they are very good. Even if Punk wanted to ignore his personal issues with the company and just go hang out with his wife, I don't see WWE wanting him there. Their employee is currently suing Punk and I don't think the company would want the two to cross paths.
Do you think WWE would ever vote a match into the WWE Hall of Fame, such as Savage vs. Steamboat at Wrestlemania 3 or Undertaker vs. Michaels at Mania 25?
I don't know that they would, but as time goes on and they need to get creative, it's certainly an idea. If they ever open a physical Hall of Fame, it would be a nice way to spotlight some classic matches from over the years.
Did TNA miss an opportunity not running this weekend?
I don't think so. Let's face it. The company has never had less of a buzz and is still in a rebuilding mode. Running against a number of smaller shows that would have drawn better than TNA wouldn't have been the best strategic move.
I had an idea for WWE. What if for the different AXXESS Sessions, they had themes of older wrestling companies as part of the attractions - for example, they could have an ECW booth with older stars and memorabilia, an AWA booth, etc. It would be a nice way to showcase some of the older talents, and some of the history that is seen on the WWE Network.
I like that idea. Hopefully someone in WWE is paying attention.
