More details regarding Perrito came out last night as Dr. Ernesto Franco said that Perrito still had vital signs as he left the ring and went to the hospital but officially died of cardiac arrest due to his cervical spine trauma but there will be an autopsy ordered by the local government with the standard drug testing as part of the equation.
The funeral wake was held this morning with Perro Aguayo Sr. in tow after reports had surfaced last night that he wasn't told about his son's death because of his own health issues but he was in fact in attendance this morning. Perrito's mother Luz Ramirez thanked everyone for the love and respect everyone showed her son and they weren't in a position yet to make any statements about their loss. El Satanico was there and just talked about how shocked he was saying that is a hard blow to take for the family as losing a child is one of the most unfortunate things a father goes through in his life.
The viewing will be held at 10 AM tomorrow morning at the Parque Funeral Colonias in Guadalajara with all fans being welcomed as long as they show respect for the family in their grieving process while not hounding them for autographs or photos.
AAA President Joaquin Roldan held a press conference today saying that there is no need to try and blame someone for Perro's death as it was an accident. Roldan said that Perrito was a charismatic idol and there are no other words to describe but accidents like this happen in wrestling because it's "real." Roldan said that Rey Mysterio Jr. has their full support and the Aguayo family has no ill will against him.
As you could guess there were loads of tributes to the memory of Perro Aguayo Jr. on shows around the country including both EMLL cards this weekend as well as Lucha Underground's taping last night in Los Angeles and WWL's show in Puerto Rico.
