CIAMPA INJURY UPATE, JOE'S FIRST MATCH, ROH TAPING TV THIS WEEK, ANNIVERSARY NOTES AND MORE

Tomasso Ciampa suffered some sort of rib injury during the main event of the ROH Anniversary show on Sunday. He was seen by several readers the next morning in a wheelchair at the airport because he was in so much pain. In checking with ROH, I am told he is being treated and they are hoping to get a diagnosis on what exactly happened within the next day.

ROH will tape TV this Saturday 3/7 at the William J Myers Pavillion in Baltimore, Maryland. Samoa Joe vs. Kyle O'Reilly was announced, which will be Joe's first match back. Also set is AJ Styles vs. Tommaso Ciampa (I suspect that will obviously change) and The Kingdom vs. the Young Bucks on top, plus the ROH TV return of Samoa Joe and more.

As of now, Joe has a certain number of dates with the company but nothing long-term is set in stone. The belief is Joe is keeping his long-term options open in case he ends up with an offer from WWE, New Japan, etc. More dates can be added as they got forward.

Tickets for the New Japan show in Philadelphia have done ridiculously great so far.

Travis Schultz sent the following live notes after attending Sunday's 13th Anniversary PPV show in Las Vegas:

The Orleans hotel was filled with wrestling fans and at any given minute you could probably find one of the wrestlers having fun on the casino floor. I saw Jimmy Jacobs playing craps between two fans wearing Bullet Club shirts, which (other than the show) made my night. In the span of 10 minutes I was in the gift shop where both Cary Silken and Matt Sydal had came in and got a couple things, and then I was in the elevator with Steve Corino. It was definitely a Bullet Club crowd and there were a ton of Bullet Club shirts on the casino floor. I think it was fair to say the Bullet Club owned the Orleans Hotel.

Las Vegas' Future Stars of Wrestling supplied the ring, which explains the real ropes instead of the cable ropes, ROH just supplied the aprons/canvas/turnbuckle pads. They also used FSW guys for the ring crew and is why Reno Scum were there. Reno Scum was over pretty big there. They're one of the best tag teams on the west coast indy scene and they had a really good match against Jacobs and Page.

Willie Mack and Kevin Kross were there visiting. I believe Dave Marquez was in the first row. Cary Silken, Roderick Strong and Christopher Daniels all came over and said hello to him.

The live audio during the show wasn't that great and cut out at some points and could've been a lot louder, not sure how the mix turned out on PPV though.

Alberto El Patron nearly landed on me when he went over the guard rail during Jay's suicide dives. One of the guys in the red mask also nearly clipped me in the head with his leg when they were jumping the rail but I got my arm up at the last second. You gotta love the first row experience! Lol. It was definitely worth the 6 hour drive to and from Vegas. They didn't announce a return date. Hopefully they keep coming back west. I'm willing to bet it was definitely more cost effective to utilize the big local company for resources where possible to make these west coast trips more worth it and I'm sure they'll arrange something similar with their Redwood City show later this month too.
