ECW ORIGINALS WHO WERE DISCUSSED FOR THE RUMBLE, WWE STAR TEASING HE IS GOING TO 'WALK'? AND MORE

As I mentioned in audio earlier this week in the PWInsider Elite section, there were pushes to have Tommy Dreamer and The Blue Meanie in the Royal Rumble. I actually heard that of all people, JBL, was pushing for Meanie to appear, which is pretty crazy considering their past. I was told that the decision was made to just have Bubba Ray Dudley as the only ECW alumni in the Rumble.

Alex Riley has been writing on Twitter about not being in the Rumble and retweeting fans' comments that he should have been in. Riley has been using the tagline "#Rileywalks" which does seem to indicate he's not happy, but it could all just be a ploy. We will see.

Among those backstage at the Rumble on Sunday were Sean Waltman, Chris Jericho and Nikolai Volkoff.

The word making the rounds is that the early merchandise sales for Kevin Owens were huge and that you can expect a lot of merchandise for him going forward. WWE officials were really impressed, especially by his initial week sales.
