During today’s edition of ESPN’s NFL Countdown, they presented a piece that showed Indianapolis Colts CB Sergio Brown channeling his inner Ric Flair, utilizing Flair’s famous catchphrases in order to celebrate and inspire his team during the playoffs. Brown and the Colts had an entire routine done with the entire team following Brown’s lead.
Flair also appeared on the piece doing the routine himself while walking down a red carpet that led to a limo that was waiting for him outside. Once in the limo, Flair send a message to the team, letting them know that “Brady is the best, but just because he is married to Gisele…” and they definitely have what it takes to come out of this game with the win and then head to the SuperBowl after.
When they came back to the studio they had Cris Carter, Keyshawn Johnson, Ray Lewis and Tom Jackson doing Flair’s signature “Woooooo!!” as they began to talk about memorable and inspiring pre-game speeches. They finished the segment by doing the “Woooooo!!” one more time, and then presenting a clip of the Colts’ cheerleaders doing the bit that was originated by Sergio Brown. Short segment, but a fun way to spotlight how mainstream wrestling and its performers really are.
