2000 - The V-Man defeats Big Nasty Bill for the NWA Mid-South Heavyweight Title in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

2001 - WCW held their first (and last) SIN Pay-per-view event at the Canseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The show saw three title changes and the final WCW match of Bill Goldberg's career, but is probably best remembered for a horrific freak injury to Sid Vicious, as he suffered a compound fracture to his leg as he jumped off the second rope. Here is Tim Whitehead's original report on the show:

WCW started off the new year, and their new era after the sale to Eric Bischoff & Co., with what was overall their best PPV in a long time. WCW Sin (1/14 from Indianapolis) had a really super undercard. It was so good that had the upper card equalled it, this PPV would have gone down as one of the best of all time. That didn't happen, as the top matches ranged from average to quite bad in the case of the main event. It should, of course, be noted that part of the problem in the main event was a legitimate injury to Sid Vicious, but it was already pretty bad before that occurred. But on balance the lower card was so good that this was clearly a thumb's up show. The commentary was also very good from Tony Schiavone & Scott Hudson, as they stayed focused on the matches and what they said mostly made sense. The crowd seemed to be hot on occasion, but WCW apparently "sweetened" the sound quite a bit, as became obvious in the main event. A 17-inch steel rod was placed in his leg.

CHAVO GUERRERO JR. defeated SHANE HELMS in 11:13 to retain the Cruiserweight Title. This is the type of match that can give this division credibility. Helms asked Shannon Moore to stay in the back since he wanted to win on his own. They opened with some really good mat work. Helms hit a headscissors takedown. Guerrero blocked a piledriver and hit a powerbomb. Hudson sold Chavo's strategy of "grounding" Helms very well. They did some good near falls, including one from Helms after a dragon suplex. Helms bumped out and Guerrero hit a high plancha. Helms then hit a crossbody off the top to the floor. Guerrero blocked the vertebreaker. Helms hit the Nightmare on Helms Street but only got a two, which the commentators sold big. After a series of blocks and reversals, Guerrero won with a brainbuster. Real good opener.

Ric Flair arrived and wouldn't tell Mike Tenay who the mystery man would be for the main event.

RENO beat BIG VITO in 8:39. This was essentially just a brawl but it was a darn good one. Vito pounded Reno with fists and hit a superplex. They bumped out and Reno laid in the stomps to Vito. They just kept brawling, doing a good job. Vito hit a mafia kick and scored some near falls. Vito blocked the Roll of the Dice and they continued blocking one another until Reno hit a second Roll of the Dice and got the pin.

Backstage, Mike Sanders paid off Brian Adams to help him win his match against Cat. After Sanders left, Bryan Clark showed up and had even more money that someone had paid him to help Cat. So with money talking, Kronik decided Cat would be the guy they helped.

EVAN KARAGIAS & JAMIE KNOBLE defeated THE JUNG DRAGONS in 9:20. Want more proof that the undercard was better than the upper card? Leia Meow was on the undercard. The on-screen graphics mistakenly listed Karagias & Knoble as "Jamie Karagias & Evan Knoble". Karagias started off against Kaz Hayashi and they had a great sequence of moves. The Dragons did double Asai moonsaults. Knoble legscissored Yung Yang out to the floor. Karagias dropkicked Kaz out of the air. Karagias & Knoble have some really good double team moves. Karagias slipped a little on a quebrada. They did a lot of near falls throughout. Kaz got doubled on but hot tagged Yang in, and he cleaned house. Karagias hit a springboard crossbody to the floor. Yang powerbombed Knoble off the top. Karagias hit a perfect firebird splash. Knoble did a tombstone piledriver on Kaz. Lots of heat at the end. Yang went for the twisting moonsault but Karagias rolled clear and surprised Yang with a simple inside cradle for the pin. Leia was angry over her team losing, so I guess she'll slap them around. Maybe they like that coming from Leia. Anyway, it was an excellent match.

Lex Luger & Buff Bagwell arrived in a vintage car. They were boasting about their plans for their match against Bill Goldberg & Dewayne Bruce, mentioning that Plan B would have someone interfere to cause Goldberg to lose by DQ.

CAT defeated MIKE SANDERS in 5:42. This may have been the greatest Cat match of all time. Sanders attacked Cat while he was playing to the crowd. Cat came back with fists and Sanders retreated. Cat blocked a sunset flip and hit an elbow smash. They went to the floor where Sanders grabbed a chair. Miss Jones kicked Sanders and chased him with the chair. While this distracted the ref, Sean Stasiak & Mark Jindrak attacked Cat. But Kronik made the save, running Stasiak & Jindrak off and then laying Sanders out, stuffing his payoff money in his mouth as a "refund" since they had accepted Cat's bigger payoff instead. The ref returned to action as Cat hit the feliner on Sanders and got the pin. By winning, Cat regained the WCW Commissionership from Sanders.

After hearing about Luger & Bagwell's "Plan B" to get Goldberg DQ'ed, Ric Flair made the match no-DQ, thus foiling that plan. Flair then told Goldberg that an old high school friend of his had come to the show with his 19 year old son and asked if Goldberg would sign an autograph and pose for a photo with the kid. Goldberg did. The kid was wearing a Goldberg T-shirt and acting like a big Goldberg mark.

LANCE STORM & MIKE AWESOME & ELIX SKIPPER beat REY MYSTERIO JR. & KONNAN & BILLY KIDMAN in a Penalty Box match in 13:05. Hacksaw Duggan was special ref and promised to call it down the middle. Amazingly, he did so. The rules were that any wrestler caught in a rules infraction had to spend a minute in a penalty box. Storm and Mysterio started off for their teams. Skipper came in without tagging and was immediately sent to the penalty box. That was the story of the match. It was pretty funny watching guys who are used to breaking the rules actually get penalized for it. The match was pretty good, too, with everyone working hard. There was one really cool spot where Skipper did a spinning headscissors on Konnan, then ducked a Konnan lariat, but as Skipper bridged back up Konnan DDT'd him. Guys kept being sent to the penalty box for things like not tagging in or not breaking on the ropes. Tygress and Major Gunns got put in the box after catfighting on the floor. Awesome got put in the box for trying to cut Kidman's hair. When he got out he Awesome bombed Mysterio but since he wasn't the legal man, Duggan wouldn't count the pin. Finally, Storm ducked an enzuigiri from Kidman and forced Kidman to submit to the cloverleaf.

MENG defeated TERRY FUNK and CROWBAR in 11:39 in a three-way match to capture the Hardcore Title. Funk was the reigning champ but Meng came out with the belt, since he had stolen it earlier. Daffney threw a drink in Funk's face as he came out. Funk dragged her over the rail but Crowbar saved with a series of chairshots. Funk and Crowbar fought to the back, with Meng just watching at first. They ended up in the women's restroom where they brawled with garbage cans, mop buckets, and other stuff as Daffney screamed. Meng then got involved. They could have used a little better lighting during this backstage sequence. Garbage cans were flying all over. Funk literally hurled one full force into Meng's face. Funk and Crowbar breifly joined forces to pound Meng down as he was doing the no-sell gimmick. Crowbar turned a bunch of tables over on him. Funk did some hard chairshots on Crowbar. Crowbar came off an elevated seating section and put Funk through a table. The cameras missed it live but they did air a replay. Meng recovered and sent Crowbar rolling down the ramp. Funk used a snow shovel on Meng. Funk slammed Crowbar on a guard rail, which broke. Finally in the ring, Crowbar used a chair on Funk's knee and hooked the figure four, but Meng went aerial and splashed Crowbar. Funk and Crowbar hit Meng with a ton of chairshots but he withstood them and laid Crowbar out before putting Funk down for the count with the Tongan Death Grip. Another very good match, and at this point the PPV was looking to be fantastic.

Ric Flair congratulated Cat on regaining the commissionership. He gave Cat the rest of the night off and said he had ordered caviar and wine for him, though Cat preferred collared greens and neckbones.

CHUCK PALUMBO & SHAWN O'HAIR defeated KEVIN NASH & DALLAS PAGE in 11:15 to capture the WCW World Tag Titles. Earlier, Sanders had chosen Palumbo & O'Hair as the two guys to represent the Natural Born Thrillerz in this match. However, he came out and announced that he reserved the right to make substitutions during the match, like during a football game. Ric Flair had security take Sanders and the other Thrillerz out. Palumbo and Page slugged it out, with Page getting the upper hand. Nash kicked the hell out of O'Hair. O'Hair did a neat spot, vaulting over Nash and then hitting a superkick. Nash did the old snake eyes move on Palumbo. Page got doubled on until reversing a tombstone piledriver on Palumbo and hot tagging Nash in. Nash jackknifed Palumbo but the ref was distracted because all the Thrillerz returned. Lex Luger arrived, attacking Page, with the two brawling though the crowd. Buff Bagwell then ran in and used a wrench on Nash. O'Hair nailed Nash with the Shawnton and scored the pin as the ref returned to action. Overall a decent match though there was way too much interference.

Ric Flair left in his limo to get the mystery man.

SHANE DOUGLAS beat GEN. RECTION in 11:35 to capture the U.S. Title. There was a chain hanging from the ceiling and whoever got it and juiced his opponent first would win. The ref found a chain in Douglas' tights before the bell. Lots of standard brawling with the idea that they were each trying to bust the other open. They did some rest spots, too. Rection finally got a ladder, hit Douglas with it, and got the chain. However, Douglas surprised Rection with a chain hidden in his boot. He juiced Rection and then pretended he had done so with the "legal" chain to score the win. Average match. Backstage afterward, Rection was despondent over losing and kept saying he now has nothing as Cpl. Cajun & Sgt. Awall tried to console him.

LEX LUGER & BUFF BAGWELL defeated BILL GOLDBERG & DEWAYNE BRUCE in a No-DQ match in 10:59. The rules were that Goldberg would be banned from WCW for life if his team lost. Seriously! Anyway, Goldberg dominated at first doing the superman routine. With Lex & Buff down, Bruce came in and pounded on them but they eventually took command. Goldberg had to keep saving Bruce from being pinned. Hudson actually brought up the metal rod in Luger's arm from many years ago. Lex ended up on the floor and guess who was in the front row? None other than the kid who had marked out for Goldberg earlier. Lex started threatening the kid. Goldberg made the save but the kid turned on him and maced him. Blinded, Goldberg still dragged the kid over the rail. Lex & Buff laid Bruce out and then went after Goldberg, who "valiantly fought back" despite being blinded but eventually was pinned by Lex after a chairshot and Buff Blockbuster off Luger's shoulders. The heel kid left with Lex & Buff. The match wasn't all that great but I guess the angle was entertaining if you like fake retirement angles. As they washed out Goldberg's eyes, Schiavone & Hudson kept going on and on about how Goldberg's popularity had saved WCW and what a shame it was that he'll now have to be banned from ever wrestling in WCW again.

SCOTT STEINER defeated JEFF JARRETT and SID VICIOUS and THE MYSTERY OPPONENT in 7:51 in a four-way match to retain the WCW World Title. Earlier, Jarrett had promised to help Steiner and not try to win the belt, which is in fact what happened. The Mystery Opponent wasn't there at first, so Steiner and Jarrett doubled on Sid. It was pretty bad, and Sid's fists and lariats looked awful. At one point, Scott encouraged Jarrett to try and pin Sid, which made no sense because that would have made Jarrett champ under the rules. Flair then arrived with the Mystery Opponent under a mask. This was kind of funny as Flair's 2001 theme interrupted the crowd noise, proving most of the noise was on tape. Anyway, while the cameras focused on Flair and his mystery guy, Sid got injured somehow and broke his leg in two places. So the planned finish had to be changed and hurried up. So the mystery man walked to the ring, unmasked to reveal Road Warrior Animal (Oh joy!), and gave Sid a weak shot and Scott pinned him. So Flair's man turned heel immediately. A really bad main event, though granted it was partly beyond their control. Sid was stretchered out afterward and was found to have suffered a broken leg in two places as well as a back injury.

2001 - Taiyo Kea and Johnny Smith defeat Masanobu Fuchi and Toshiaki Kawada for the vacant AJPW Unified World Tag Team Title in Tokyo, Japan. The title had been vacated in June 2000 when Akira Taue, who held the title with Kawada, left the promotion, ending their sixth reign.

- Chris Sabin defeated TNA X Division Champion Christopher Daniels and Jerry Lynn in a three-way match, by pinning Daniels with a roll-up after Lynn hit the Daniels with the cradle piledriver, to win the title. This began Sabin's fourth reign and ended Daniels' third.
- Alex Shelley and Austin Starr fought to a 10-minute time-limit draw in the final match of the Paparazzi Championship Series. The match went to a judges' decision. Samolian Joe voted Starr, Big Fat Oily Guy voted for Shelley, and Bob Backlund said it was a draw. Kevin Nash then called for five minutes of overtime. Shelley pinned Starr in about a minute. After the match, Starr ended up in Backlund's crossface chickenwing.
- James Storm (with Gail Kim) pinned Petey Williams while grabbing the ropes during a roll-up. After the match, Jacqueline made her return to TNA and delivered a Death Sentence with Storm to Kim.

2009 -

World Wrestling Entertainment has released British developmental talent Hade Vansen.  Vansen was seen ever-so-briefly on WWE Smackdown with a single promo before his planned character and direction was canceled.

The initial plan for the character was to put Vansen (doing something of a dark character with cult-esque overtones, similar to Christopher Daniels' Fallen Angel persona) into an angle with The Undertaker.  Once the initial vignette aired, Vince McMahon put a stop to the direction, deciding he didn't want a new talent from developmental put into a major angle before he was tested and could be trusted to carry the ball.

Vansen's character was a Michael Hayes idea.  Kevin Fertig (aka Kevin Thorn) and developmental talent Black Pain were going to be associated with the Vansen character in some form before the character and direction was dropped.  Fertig was released last week by World Wrestling Entertainment the week before.

Vansen was signed to a WWE developmental deal in May 2007.  He missed most of the past year following a knee injury, so his tenure in development may have played a factor in the decision to release him.  Hansen would not return to the national scene in any way, shape or form, to date.

2009 - WWE released Tough Enough chapion Matt Cappotelli, who never actually wrestled for the main roster after being diagnosed with brain cancer as well as referee Mickie Henson.

2010 -TNA broadcast Epics on SpikeTV.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV report:

He tells Jeremy that he doesn’t know where Foley is and doesn’t care. He also tells Jeremy that if he does anything to affect the integrity of the show, it will be Borash’s last day in the building.

Storm and Roode enter the office and they say that they have a problem with Eric’s boys. Bischoff says that Hall, Nash, and Waltman are not his boys. Storm says that they did not appreciate being attacked by them. He wants to face Hall and Nash at Genesis. Eric takes Storm’s beer and he takes a sip. 2010 - In a move that infuriated fans, Live Nation sold out the WWE Hall of Fane, then canceled all the orders when it turned out they had accidentally sold sections earmarked for the WWE roster.  They informed all ticketholders that their orders were canceled and held another on sale several hours later.

2011 - UFC President Dana White shot down reports that Brock Lesnar would be returning to WWE to wrestle The Undertaker following an interaction caught by MMA reporter Ariel Helwani on camera.  He noted that Vince McMahon did contact him about the possibility and White turned it down.

2011 - WWE broadcast Smackdown.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV report:

We are live on tape from Birmingham, Alabama and your announcers are Matt ‘Home State of the National Champion Auburn Tigers’ Striker, Michael ‘Why Can’t the Miz be on this show too’ Cole and Josh ‘Who will be the ‘Josh Mathews’ of the new Tough Enough’ Mathews.

While Alberto Del Rio comes to the ring, Cole, Mathews, and Striker talk about what Alberto did on Raw on Monday night when Alberto confronted Shawn Michaels. Their accounts of what happened differ slightly.

Alberto reminds us his name and Cole steps on his line. Alberto says that the people in the South are a bit slow. However, they know that there is no one like him on Raw or Smackdown. He tells everyone not to get angry because it isn’t his fault. It is his destiny. He will destroy their dreams and their hero’s dreams when he wins the Royal Rumble. He told Shawn Michaels that after he wins, he will be known as the new Mr. Wrestlemania.

Truth says that the Royal Rumble is a few weeks away but Del Rio has lost his mind. Truth tells Pancho that Alberto can’t win Royal Rumble because you have a bunch of fancy cars. You can’t win the Royal Rumble because you have a creepy creepy ring announcer. You can’t win because of destiny. A championship match on the world’s biggest stage isn’t something you can buy or inherit, you have to earn that on your own. You earn that by stepping up to the plate like a man. The man that Alberto can’t be.

Cody Rhodes comes out to the ring after making sure that he is truly ‘dashing’. He tells Alberto and Truth that dashing is in at the Royal Rumble and everyone else is out. If you don’t look like him, you are going over the top rope to your ungroomed and undashing lifestyles. Cody says that he is twenty-five but he has already been in three Rumble matches. He says that he is the face that will main event Wrestlemania.

Rey Mysterio comes out and he wants to get something straight. Winning the Royal Rumble isn’t about looking like a diva as he addresses Cody. He tells Alberto that it isn’t about destiny. Rey says that it is about beating the odds. It is about surviving and that is what Rey has been doing his whole entire life.

Alberto tells Rey that no one wants to hear his inspirational stories and he will beat him like the dog he is. Rey asks Alberto how many Royal Rumbles he has won and Rey points out that he hasn’t won any. Rey mentions that he won a Royal Rumble.

Cody says that Rey winning the Royal Rumble is so 2006. Just like the fashion of 2006, he is out of style. He tells Truth that is ‘what’s up’.

Truth wants to know if we are stealing catch phrases and he punches Cody. All four men fight with Rey and Cody pairing up while Truth and Del Rio fight on the other side of the ring.

Teddy Long comes out and says that if they want to mix it up, they will do it in the ring. Alberto Del Rio and Cody Rhodes will face R Truth and Rey Mysterio in a tag match.

He stands here tonight as the World Champion. He goes from facing one monster last week to another monster this week. He is talking about Vickie Guerrero. He brings out Vickie and her boyfriend, the number one contender Dolph Ziggler.

Vickie says that there was no controversy. Dolph became the number one contender and he will beat Edge at the Royal Rumble.

Edge says that he didn’t call her a ‘man eating beast’ or say that Vickie snores in her sleep. It isn’t like he said that you could go parasailing with her panties or that she makes a weird noise when you do that thing.

Vickie stops Edge and throws out an excuse me. Vickie says that if they want to let the garbage out it is on. Vickie says that she was once married to Edge, but that was a long time ago when she was young and naïve. Every day she lives with the regret that she lived with Edge.

2012 - The fabled ECW Arena on the corner of Swanson and Ritner Streets in South Philadelphia, PA closed as a venue after it was taken over by new management.  A year later, the venue, slated for major remodeling, sits vacant and has not hosted any events, nor has its been reconstructed.  The venue, which became one of the most legendary buildings in wrestling history during the run of Extreme Championship Wrestling, hosted independent shows all through the end of its existence.

On its final night as a wrestling venue (the final event in the facility was a boxing event), CZW and EVOLVE both hosted live events....

Mike Johnson filed the following CZW live coverage:

Welcome to PWInsider.com's dueling coverage of CZW's final event at the ECW Arena in South Philadelphia, PA. I'll be doing live ongoing coverage while Stu Carapola will be posting ongoing thoughts from the show. Later tonight, we'll switch roles for EVOLVE 10.

CZW opened up with Greg Excellent, who earned the right to have power over tonight's show, with promoter Maven Bentley and Roger Argitiani, who is departing as the leaseholder of the ECW Arena.

Bentley said that he wanted to welcome everyone to the best wrestling Arena in the world. The fans chanted "ECW" and "CZW." Bentley said that they've been here for years and they wanted to publicly thank Roger for allowing them back when they were told to hit the bricks and for allowing them to do the style they are famous for.

Roger took the mic and said that there are many people who need to be thanked for all the years of running in the building. He thanked the staff of the concession stands for servicing the fans all these years. The crowd chanted, "Juicy Hotdogs." Roger then asked that all the performers on tonight's show come out to ringside.   The locker room came out.  He said that he wanted to thank everyone who was here, who was ever here and who hopefully one day will get to come back here on day for all the years of performing in the building.

Roger then thanked Michael Pancoast, who headed up the production in the building.  He turned to Bentley and said that it was a pleasure doing business with him.  He asked for Hyde to come out and he didn't come out so Roger said, "OK go f*** yourself."  Roger then asked all the fans to give themselves a round of applause.  He asked that everyone enjoy the show.

Bentley then said that while they were asked to take the banners down by the owners of the building, they want Trent Acid, JC Bailey and Chris Cash that they are all missed and they are watching tonight.  They opened a bottle of champagne and sprayed it in their honor.  Bentley offered the mic to Excellent.

Excellent did some mic work saying that he was in charge and was giving out contracts today to everyone because he just doesn't care.  He said that he wanted to introduce his Genie in a Bottle, DJ Hyde.  Hyde came out dressed like a genie, complete with a turban.  Excellent said that been screwing and messing with people, including former employee Dru Blood, who was fired at Cage of Death by Hyde.  Excellent announced that he signed himself to a new deal where he can't be fired by Hyde and then announced that Blood was re-hired as a referee.  Excellent announced that Hyde vs. Zandig would close the show tonight.  He then announced that someone called and asked for a match tonight and would be facing Hyde in a warm-up match tonight.  Out came Whacks, CZW's old photographer turned hardcore wrestler.

Whacks vs. DJ Hyde

Whacks went right after Hyde and was shoulderblocked down.  It didn't look pretty.  Hyde chopped him against the ropes and hit a sideslam but Dru Blood didn't want to count the fall.  Hyde screamed at him, asking what he was doing.  Whacks nailed several forearms but was hit with a clothesline.  Same result.  Blood didn't want to count the fall.  Hyde argued with Blood and was nailed by Whacks, who then hit a back senton splash off the ropes for a quick pinfall win.

Your winner, Whacks!

Not much of a match, but more of a chance for Whacks to come out and work in front of the fans one last time, plus it allowed Blood and Excellent to "get back" a little at Hyde for all he's pulled.

Derek Frazier vs. Ryan McBride

Frazier told the referee that he should get out of the ring because he brought his own referee.  Out came Rockin' Rebel.  My God, they are ALL coming out of the woodwork tonight.  Rebel took the mic and ripped on the ring announcer, who was absolutely horrible (Larry Legend was away on a vacation in the Bahamas).   Rebel said that he's been here for 19 years and said that he was f***ing all their mothers then and the only reason they are here now is their mothers stopped sucking c***.  He ripped on the fans, doing some lame racial mic work.

Frazier hid in the crowd as McBride came to the ring and attacked him in the aisle.   He worked over McBride with chops at ringside.  McBride fired back with chops of his own.  McBride placed Frazier against the railing and chopped away at him.  They brawled around ringside.   Frazier went for a Russian legsweep on the floor but McBride kicked him off.  They returned to the ring, where McBride controlled the match and worked over Frazier's knee.

McBride went for a Sharpshooter but Frazier slipped out.  He went for a kick but missed and McBride drilled him.  Frazier was nailed with a German suplex.   McBride nailed him with an enziguiri and came off the ropes with a frog splash for a two count.   He loaded up for a running forearm but Frazier moved.  He drilled McBride with a kick to the head and drove him into the ring with a flatliner off the second rope while McBride was hanging.  Frazier scored a two count.

McBride reversed a suplex attempt but Frazier turned it into like a reverse standing Buff Blockbuster for a two count.   Frazier took his knee brace off and prepared to use it as a weapon.  McBride ducked and Rebel was nailed.  McBride hit a leap into a Death Valley Driver and scored the pin as the originally dispatched referee returned.

Rebel recovered and thanked everyone for all their support of the building all these years.

Uhaa Nation vs. AR Fox

They had some OK back and forth wrestling early.  Fox sent Nation to the floor and hit this awesome leaping dive to the floor.  Nation cut his legs out from him as Fox returned to the apron.  He nailed a German suplex on the apron.  He then hit a standing moonsault off the apron onto Fox, crashing his own legs against the guard rail.  It was sick looking.

Back in the ring, Nation whipped Fox into the ropes and cut him off with a big rear elbow.   Fox came back with a leaping crucifix.  He nailed a flip into the corner and then cannonballed Nation against the turnbuckles for a two count.  Nation came back with a series of German suplexes.  He closed them up with the Chaos Theory.   Nation went to the ropes but Fox cut him off.  He went for a rana off the ropes but Nation held on.  Fox crashed and burned.  Nation hit a diving headbutt on Fox for a two count.

Fox came back with a Kryptonite Krunch.  Fox sent Nation to the floor and flipped off the ringpost for a dive.  Back in the ring, Fox went for a springboard 450 splash but Nation pulled his knees up.  Fox went to the floor and Nation hit this INSANE leaping forward flipping dive to the floor.  Back in the ring, he nailed a sideslam and scored a two count.

Nation went back to the top.  Fox cut him off and nailed a springboard flipping Uranage for the pin.

Your winner, AR Fox!

Nation is unbelievably talented.  That dude has IT.  He's still raw but wow, he's going to be awesome.   He worked his ass off.  Fox looked good in some spots.

Nation got a huge reaction and the fans chanted his name on the way out.

CZW Tag Team champs Azrieal & Bandido Jr. vs. BLKOUT's Alex Colon & Ruckus (with Chrissy Rivera and Robby Mireno)

Colon and Azrieal opened up and they went back and forth.  Coloin went for a facewash against the ringpost but Azrieal moved.  They traded armdrags and hiptosses.   Ruckus tagged in and they went into a series of fast paced sequences including Rivera teasing a dive.

Bandido cut off Ruckus with a leg lariat but was caught with an inverted atomic drop.   BLK OUT tagged in and out, working over the champs.  They did the Backseat Boyz' Dream Sequence, which had to be a shout out to Trent Acid.   The champs cut off Colon and worked him over.  Colon shoved Azrieal off the ropes and came off with a leaping knee to the back of the neck.

All four brawled.  Rivera snuck into the ring and tripped up Azrieal.  She went to the top and did a dive to the floor onto everyone else who was brawling on the floor.  It looked like she almost came up short, which would have been scary.  Back in the ring, Ruckus nailed the Razzle Dazzle on Azrieal and did a rolling suplex into the corner.

The Runaways hit the ring and attacked BLK OUT, laying them out.

They announced it was a no contest.

The champions weren't happy with the interference and started brawling with the Runaways.   They laid them out and their valet Kimber Lee was left in the ring with BLK OUT and the champs.  Rivera attacked her and laid her out, then nailed a Facewash in the corner.   She set up for another but the Runaways pulled her out.

Robby Mireno took the mic and told the Runaways "Any time, any building, anywhere on the face of the planet" they could go at it.  They brawled briefly in the aisles.

CZW Junior Heavyweight champ Sami Callihan vs. Rich Swann

Callihan charged at Swann and beat the hell out of him in the corner.  Swann refused to back down, asking if that was the best Sami had.   Callihan lifted and slammed Swann in the corner.   Callihan tied up his knee but Swann escaped.  Callihan went for the Stretch Muffler but Swann kicked him off and nailed a stiff dropkick.  Swann went for a flip dive off the apron but Callihan jumped back on the ring and Swann hit the railing.

Callihan pulled Swann up on the apron and kicked him off, then nailed a low flying dive into the guard rail.  Callihan worked over Swann on the floor, sending him into the railing and chopping and kicking away at him.  Sami charged and chopped Swann so hard he flipped over the railing and landed in the first row.  Swann barely made it back into the ring and when he did, Callihan cut him off and held him on the mat, beating the back of Swann's neck and back.

Swann fought back and chopped away at him.  Callihan drilled him back but Swann came out of a whip and nailed a leaping clothesline that flipped Callihan over then used a spinning head scissors to drill Callihan head first into the mat.  Swann went for a springboard elbow in the corner but was cut off.  Callihan nailed a Facewash in the corner and then followed up with another.  Swann came back to nail an awesome leaping dive to the floor.

The dive rocked Callihan who dragged himself back to his feet.  Swann came off the ropes but was cut off and caught with a powerbomb for a two count, then rolled into a figure four combination.   Callihan drilled him with a clothesline in the corner, then a Death Valley Driver.   Callihan rebounded off the ropes for a splash, getting a two count.  He locked Swann in the Stretch Muffler.  Swann turned it into a rolling pinning combination for a two count then nailed a kick.

Callihan was placed on the top rope and nailed with a flip into a kick to the head.  He went to the ropes but Callihan drove him down to the mat and locked on the Stretch Muffler.  Trapped, Swann tapped.

Your winner and still CZW Junior Heavyweight champion, Sami Callihan!

Excellent match. Best of the show so far.

They showed each other respect and hugged after the match.

Greg Excellent vs. Mia Yim (with Adam Cole)

This is a rematch from their awesome bout at Night of Infamy, which was entertaining as hell.  Excellent, who is in charge, announced that all "douchebags in green tights" must leave ringside, so  Cole had to leave.  He and Yim weren't happy.

They locked up and Excellent shoved her down.  She immediately attacked him with strikes and kicks.  Excellent fired back.  She slapped him.  He chopped her across the chest. She slapped him and he slapped her back.   She came off the ropes with an elbow and dropkicked him in the face, sending Excellent to the floor.

On the apron, Yim charged him but he ducked it and clotheslined her legs.  She bumped to the floor.  He grabbed her in a wheelbarrow and slammed her into the ringpost.   He worked her over on the floor and had fans hold her by the arms so he could grab her by the nipples.  Seriously.  He then grabbed her face and motorboated her into his chest.  He continued working her over and tossed Yim back into the ring.

Back in the ring, he maneuvered her head in between his legs and humped her, slamming her head into the mat several times.  He worked her into the corner but she nailed him and hung over the ropes with an armbar.  Excellent cut her off and scored several near falls.

Excellent placed Yim on the top rope and went for a superplex but she fought him off and nailed a Code Red off the top into the ring for a two count.  The crowd chanted, "She's hardcore."  Yim argued with the referee.  Excellent began stripping.   Yim nailed him in the groin but he liked it.  He sent her to the floor and went for a dive.  Well, it was a dive in theory.   Back in the ring, he nailed her with a spike piledriver (Jay Driller) and scored the pin,

Your winner, Greg Excellent!

Not as much silliness as the first match between them but equally entertaining.  Yim is a bad ass woman.  Excellent did a great job here too.

Excellent took the mic and said, "You are one tough b****."

When we came back from intermission, they ran a Shane Douglas promo announcing an Extreme Reunion event for 4/28 in Philadelphia.  We have more on that on the main page of PWInsider.com.

Danny Havoc came to the ring and said he came to the show really angry because he has unfinished business with Drew Gulak.  He said that this is Greg Excellent's show and Greg wants to have a good fun show and told him to just go our and toast the Arena and the fans.  He said that is why he's here and he loves everyone, but none of his running buddies are here, but he makes friends everywhere he goes.  He said he ran into a few people in the bar and invited them to join him in the ring.  Out came Homicide, Nick Berk, Adam Flash, Messiah, Nate Webb and The Blue Meanie, who came out rolling a keg of beer.   They all toasted the Arena.

Out came Drew Gulak and his minions.   Gulak asked why he has to sit in the back and waste his time while this debauchery is going on.   The fans chanted for Nick Gage.  Gulak said that he can't be here because he robbed a bank.  Gulak pointed out each guy who came out and mocked each of them, ending with Meanie.  There was a huge "BWO" chant.  Gulak asked Havoc why he had nothing better to do than bring out a bunch of relics.  He warned Havoc not to hit him or he'll be fined again.  He made a crack about Havoc's wife and Havoc attacked him, setting off a big brawl.  In the end, Gulak was left laying in the ring and his minions were wiped out on the floor.

Matt Tremont hit the ring

Matt Tremont vs. Drew Gulak

Tremont attacked Gulak and worked him over.  Gulak was whipped into the ring and nailed with a dropkick.  Tremoint whipped him into the corner and caught him with a sideslam for a two count.   Tremint worked over Gulak on the floor.  Gulak grabbed a female photographer, Christine Coons, for protection.   Tremont pulled him into the ring and worked him over with a series of headbutts.

Tremont fishhooked Gulak's mouth and ripped away at him.   Gulak cut him off and choked him in the corner.   Gulak used a spinning toehold and hooked Tremont's ankle to wear him down.      He continued working over Tremont's ankle, playing off the damage it took in Cage of Death last month, then locked in a sleeper hold.  Tremont fought his way out and nailed a sideslam for a two count.

Tremont unloaded with a series of rights and a clothesline, followed by a back elbow for a two count.   Tremont began working over Gulak's arm with an armwringer, flipping Gulak to the mat and nailing a leaping elbow.   Gulak made a comeback working over Tremont's bad ankle, including dropkicking it.

Gulak locked him out with a Dragon Sleeper and Tremont gave up.

Your winner, Drew Gulak!

Gulak went to attack him after the match but Tremont got the better of him, so Gulak ran to the back.

Danny Havoc and Rory Mondo came out.  Havoc said that they were having a good time and Gulak ruined it and tapped out to him?  He said that Mondo was out here because he and Tremont were both entered into the 6/23 Tournament of Death and then we'd see who deserves the Death Match Trials title.  He then challenged Tremont to a rematch from Cage of Death when CZW returns to Indianapolis.

Philadelphia Street Fight: Joker vs. Eddie Kingston

They exchanged kicks and strikes as soon as Kingston hit the ring.   Joker knocked him to the floor and hit a dive through the ropes.    He worked over Kingston on the floor but Kingston fired back with a series of fast chops.  He and Joker went back and forth with Kobashi chops on the floor.  They brawled for a long time on the floor.

When they returned to the ring, Joker worked over Kingston, who tried to fire back from his knees.    Kingston finally dazed Joker with a stiff headbutt.   He slapped Joker hard.  Joker came back with a series of strikes and a knee to the face.  He brought a table into the ring and placed it in the corner.  Joker went for an exploder but Kingston fought it off. He tried to whip Kingston into the table but he stopped short.

Joker nailed an exploder like suplex on Kingston.   He set Kingston up on the table and went to the top, but Kingston recovered and nailed a superplex through the table.   Both men recovered to their knee and exchanged forearms.   Joker nailed his exploder style suplex, then drilled him with a shining wizard for a two count.   Kingston came back with the roundhouse backhand for the pin.

Kingston took the mic and ripped on a few fans heckling him.  Kingston said that this will be the last show in this building.   He said Eddie Moore was born in NYC but Eddie Kingston was born because of this building.  He said that a lot of times he doesn't like the fans and they don't care him but without this place, he was nothing.  He said that when he dies, don't take him to the hospital, take him to the Arena, because this is where he was born.

CZW champion Devon Moore vs. Adam Cole

They went back and forth.  Cole took control and worked over Moore.  He teased a big move while rebounding off the ropes and instead stopped and locked in a side chinlock.    Moore came back with a sunset flip for a two count.  Cole nailed a Fireman's Carry into an over the knee backbreaker.  The crowd started getting on Cole for being boring,  He scissored Moore's head and neck with his legs to try and wear him down.

Moore came back with a senton.   They went back and forth until Cole snapped a superkick.  Both men were down and out as the referee counted them down.   Cole snapped off a forearm and Moore nailed him back.   Moore missed an enziguiri and was picked up and drilled into a slam by Cole.

Moore came off the ropes and nailed a tornado DDT and a running boot to the face for a two count.   He went to suplex Cole into the corner but Cole reversed it and draped him on the top turnbuckle.  Cole was shoved off.  Moore nailed a shooting star press for a two count.

Mia Yim got on the apron and distracted Moore. Cole grabbed him and hit an inverted DDT for a two count.  The crowd thought that was the finish.  Yim handed Cole the belt and he teased hitting the champ with it, but instead snapped it around his waist.   Cole took it off and hit a leaping flip piledriver for another two count.  The crowd booed that it wasn't the finish.

Cole gave Yim the belt and she tried to nail Moore with it.  Instead he ducked and she almost hit Cole.  Moore charged with a boot but Cole moved and Yim ate it.  Moore and Cole went back and forth with the belt trying to use it.  Moore superkicked the belt into Cole's face and that was it.

Your winner and still CZW champion Devon Moore!

Past and Present Ultraviolent Icon Rules Death Match: John Zandig vs. DJ Hyde

There are a ton of weapons, including glass panes, a chair wrapped in barbed wire, a wiffle ball bat with thumbtacks taped to it and more.

Hyde took the mic and said that everyone wants to see him die tonight.  He ripped on the fans.  He said that they all love Zandig.  He said that he was a Tournament of Death winner and Zandig wasn't, so how dare they not support him.  He said that the venue belongs to him, not ECW, not CZW, not Zandig but DJ Hyde.

Zandig took the mic and said that if it was his building, it wouldn't be their last show here.  He said that's what happens when he leaves, CZW loses the building and asked him where he was going to go next.  He said don't talk about Japan or Arkansas, but what has he done for these fans here?  Ouch.  Talk about cutting deep.

Zandig was announced as the former owner.  He took the mic and said, "F*** former owner.  I am CZW!"

Hyde got in Zandig's face and was punched down immediately.  They went to the floor where Zandig nailed him with a thumbtack bat.  They brawled into the crowd.  Zandig whipped Hyde into a row of chairs as the fans swarmed around them.  He dragged Hyde to another part of the building and slammed him onto another row of chairs.   He slapped Hyde hard in the face, then took a chair from a fan and nailed him with a chair.

Zandig then whipped Hyde into a wall near the front door.   They continued to brawl through the entire buiding.  Zandig grabbed a trash can and nailed Hyde with it in the crowd.  They returned to the ringside area.   Zandig tore at Hyde's forehead with something on the floor.

Zandig tried to whip Hyde into a pane of glass in the corner but there were a series of reversals, leading into Hyde spearing Zandig into the pane of glass, which exploded.  Zandig's back was ripped up.  Hyde began carving into Zandig's head with broken pieces of glass.   Hyde slammed the barbed wire chair over Zandig's back, then dug it into his back.  Hyde ran the thumbtack bat over Zandig's forehead, then slammed it hard across his back.  You could see the tacks stuck in Zandig's back.

Hyde began trash talking but Zandig attacked him and beat him over the back with both thumbtack bats in rapid sucession.  He then powerbombed Hyde onto the barbed wire chair.   Zandig whipped Hyde into the corner and worked him over, then placed a pane of glass over Hyde.   Zandig hit a running knee through the pane of glass to Hyde's face.

Zandig tried to whip Hyde into another pane but Hyde reversed it.  Zandig reversed it again and Hyde hit the third pane hard.  Zandig then ran him into a fourth pane of glass.  Hyde ducked a discus clothesline and rolled up Zandig and hooked the tights to score the pinfall.

Your winner, DJ Hyde!

Hyde was celebrating on the top rope when Zandig nailed him from behind with the barbed wire chair, and shoved him forward sending Hyde taking a flip to the floor through a pane of glass that was sitting atop a contraption of chairs.  Zandig then clotheslined the referee for good measure.

Zandig took the mic and put over Nick Gage, Wifebeater, Nick Mondo and everyone else that couldn't be here.  He said that its not about the building but about the young guys who worked their ass off every time for these people.  He apologized to his daughter for not winning and said this will probably be his last match.  He said that he came because it was the last night here and he wanted to be here for the fans and the boys in the back.  He thanked the JC Baileys and Sweeneys and others who aren't here.  He then told DJ that he might be the owner but he'll never be CZW.

Stu Carapola filed the following live EVOLVE 10 coverage....

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing coverage of EVOLVE 10, the final event to run in the former ECW Arena.

PRESHOW NOTES

-Joey Styles, Balls Mahoney, and New Jack are all here signing autographs before the show starts.

-There are scheduled to be several surprises throughout the evening.

-EVOLVE will easily shatter their attendance record tonight as there is a line down the block of people trying to get into the show.

Larry Dallas comes out with Ahtu, who has an open contract tonight and will face a mystery opponent, and it is indeed a surprise!

Ahtu vs Low Ki

Ki floors Ahtu right off the bat with a rolling front kick, and Ahtu is out. The fans chant Low Ki's name as Ahtu slowly makes his way back to his feet...then slumps to the mat again. The fans chant "one more time" as Ahtu again starts to pull himself up, just in time to take a Tidal Crush. Ahtu's flat on his back again and Low Ki goes to the top rope and comes off with the double stomp for the win.

Winner: Low Ki

AWESOME way to start the show. Crowd is going nuts for Low Ki, and referes come out to pull Ahtu out of the ring and haul him away as Low Ki, who I now realize didn't even bother to take off his Bluetooth earpiece before the match, takes the microphone to say he's spent the last year plus sitting on the sidelines watching his profession fall by the wayside. People are complacent, actors are trying to imitate professional wrestlers, and he's here in EVOLVE to be a catalyst for change. He is here to put everyone in EVOLVE on notice that Low Ki is here and he's not going anywhere, and let it be known that he will be in Toronto and Miami and he's going to make a few surprise appearances so we'd better pay attention. He wants his profession back and if anyone decides they're man enough to step in the ring with him, he dares them to (as one famous man from Red Hook, Brooklyn said) beat him if they can and survive if he lets them.

Cheech Hernandez vs Cloudy Day

They're now using their full names and Cheech is the "New Wave" character we've seen him use once or twice in DGUSA and EVOLVE. Cheech takes Cloudy down with a waistlock, but Cloudy with a double leg takedown and goes after him with right hands. He charges Cheech, but Cheech just pops him up in the air and plants him face first. Greco Roman knucklelock that Cheech wins easily, but Cloudy rolls through and they exchange lucha stuff until Cloudy sends Cheech to the outside with a flying headscissors. Cheech dodges a dive to the floor, but Cloudy stops himself before going outside, he tries to catch Cheech coming back into the ring but Cheech slides around behind him and hits a Randy Orton backbreaker for 2. Cheech with a Lou Thesz press and then does the Up In Smoke clap before locking Cloudy in a no-hands Sharpshooter. Cloudy makes the ropes and Cheech charges him in the corner, but Cloudy gets the knees up and hits a flying headscissors that sends Cheech to the outside. Cloudy goes for a twisting dive through the ropes, but Cheech moves and Cloudy goes SPLAT on hte concrete floor. Cheech, ever the compassionate soul, picks him up and rams him into the ring apron, but Cloudy nails him and rams him into the guardrail, and then Cheech returns the favor and whips him into the rail. Cloudy goes for a Code Red on the floor, but Cheech blocks and counters to a Gory Bomb onto the ring apron. That looked painful. Cheech rolls Cloudy back inside and covers for 2, Cloudy tries going up top but Cheech kicks the top rope and knocks Cloudy down onto the corner. Cloudy blocks a superplex and goes for a tornado DDT, Cheech tries hitting a pump handle something, but Cloudy counters that as well back to the DDT and both men are down. Cloudy with a rolling cradle for 2, schoolboy rollup for 2, Cheech blocks a backslide but Cloudy ducks a clothesline and hits an Ace Crusher for 2. Cloudy ducks a Yakuza Kick and hits an inverted Frankensteiner for 2. Cheech blocks an other Frankensteiner and counters to a facebuster for 2, then hits the Superman dive in the corner followed by a facewash slide and then a 619 from the floor. That still only gets 2, Cloudy tries a rolling cradle for 2 but Cheech escapes and hits Go To Cheech and covers, but pulls Cloudy up at 2. He goes for a powerbomb but Cloudy counters to Code Red for 2. He tries another flying headscissors but cheech counters to a second Go To Cheech for the win.

Winner: Cheech Hernandez

Excellent match, they went out of their way to make each other look good and even though Cheech went over, Cloudy definitely looked competitive and I think will do fine as a single if he sticks around EVOLVE.

The Scene vs John Silver & Alex Reynolds

Konley and Silver start and Konley takes Silver down with a waistlock and goes to a front facelock. Silver switches out and goes to a hammerlock, Konley counters to a wristlock, and Silver takes Konley down with an armdrag and then stretches Konley out with a modified Rings of Saturn. Konley makes the ropes and tries to leapfrog Silver out of the corner, but Silver uppercuts him coming down and they go back and forth, wipe each other out with a double clothesline, and then go back to a stalemate. Silver ducks a clothesline, smacks Konley in the mouth, and rolls him up for 2. Reynolds tags in for the first time and they do a double drop toehold followed by sandwich dropkicks to the head for 2 on Konley. Konley finally tags out to Reed and he immediately gets hiptossed by Reynolds, but Reed turns him inside out with a clothesline and then gives him the Jesse Ventura boot laces to the eyes. Reynolds with a pair of back elbows and a big dropkick for 1. Reynolds ducks a clothesline and hits a high knee to wip Reed out, Konley tries to jump him from behind but Reynolds dumps him to the apron and then goes back after Reed, who appears to slightly mistime a Hotshot but still catch enough of it to get a respectable 2. HARD vertical suplex gets 2, then Konley tags in for a double elbowdrop that gets 2. Konley holds Reynolds up for a vertical suplex and Reed chops him before Konley drops him and covers for 2. Reynolds fights his way out of the Scene's corner and tries to make the tag, but Reed drags him back so he dumps Konley to the floor and hits a handspring enziguiri, and finally makes the hot tag to Silver, who comes in and destroys Reed with a double kneedrop for 2. Konley and Reynolds go at it before Konley dumps Reynolds to the floor and goes for an Asai moonsault to the outside, but Silver catches him and prevents him from going off the ropes and then Reynolds comes in and they hit a double top rope Stunner on Konley. Reed launches Silver into the corner and then whips Reynolds into him, then Konley catapults Silver into a Reed powerslam for 2. Silver again takes both of them out with stiff kicks, then a sick combo of strikes from Silver and Reynolds ends with Silver hitting a German Suplex on Reed with Konley breaking up the cover at 2. Reed neutralizes Silver and they hit the wheelbarrow DDT into a German suplex combo on Reynolds for the win.

Winners: The Scene

The Scene is now 2-0 in EVOLVE, and this was a terrific match. I really enjoyed watching Silver and Reynolds, they went all out and had a great match, with Silver in particular showing a lot of intensity. He may be my favorite wrestler to break onto the EVOLVE scene in the last few shows and I hope he gets the opportunity to move up the card at some point. Alex Reynolds reminds me a LOT of a younger Tyler Black.

Jigsaw vs AR Fox

They do a very complex wristlock exchange to start, with Fox coming out on top and barring the arm. Jigsaw rolls through and hits a drop toehold, then goes to a surfboard that Fox escapes, so Jigsaw goes to a crucifix instead for 2, then catches Fox in the Gory Special. Fox escapes but again finds himself on the receiving end of a series of armdrags and a dropkick right to the jaw. Fox finally scores with a dropkick for 2and hits a springboard dropkick in the corner, followed by a modified version of the split legged moonsault for 2. Fox goes for a tornado DDT, but Jigsaw just dumps him on his face and then sends him to the outside so Jigsaw can hit a dive through the ropes that sends Foxcrashing into the guardrail. That gets 2 for Jigsaw, so he leans Fox in the corner and hits a nasty chop, followed by a snapmare and dropkick to the back of the neck for 2. Jigsaw with a superkick, but Fox with a Stunner and then a Diamond Cutter out of nowhere, which would have killed someone in 1998 but barely fazes Jigsaw, who is back on his feet and dumping Fox to the apron in seconds. He tries to suplex Fox back into the ring, but Fox hangs him up on the top rope and then hits a springboard dropkick and a running back senton for 2. Fox drop toeholds Jigsaw onto the second rope, then hits a clothesline and comes off top with a swanky Swanton for 2. Jigsaw with a brainbuster for 2 and then Fox goes for a springboard move, but Jigsaw just steps out of the way and kicks him in the face for 2. Fox sits Jigsaw on the top rope and springboard dropkicks him out to the floor. Fox did a springboard 450 to the floor, then laid Jigsaw on the ring apron and repeatedly drilled him with forearms before coming off the top rope with a legdrop to the apron androlls Jigsaw back in for 2. Jigsaw with a small package for 2, then a spinning back elbow, enziguiri, and a German suplex for 2. Fox hiptosses Jigsaw into a seated position on the top rope and goes for his springboard Spanish Fly, but Jigsaw counters to a German suplex off the top rope and then superkicks his teeth down his throat for 3.

Winner: Jigsaw

I'm a bit surprised to see Jigsaw get the win, but very fast paced and athletic match. Jigsaw says it was a great win and we're going to see a lot more of Jigsaw in 2012. Fox is next for the postmatch promo and says last time he was in a DGUSA ring, Sami Callihan broke a beer bottle over his head. The sound of beer bottles clinking starts playing over the speakers, and Callihan comes out clinking bottles together and tells Fox that he dares him to come after him. Referee Mike Kehner tells Fox not to because he'll be fined and suspended, and then tells Callihan to get lost. Fox goes to the top rope to go after Callihan and the referee has to physically restrain him from jumping onto Callihan, who spits at him and continues clinking bottles.

Uhaa Nation vs Pinkie Sanchez

Uhaa is accompanied by Ricochet, and is now apparently a member of Blood Warriors. First I've heard of it, but okay, makes sense the top group in the company would want him. Pinkie ducks and dodges around Uhaa and then takes his shirt off to show off the physique. He ducks another swing and slaps Uhaa on the ass, then bails out to the floor before Uhaa kills him. Uhaa gets distracted playing to the crowd and Pinkie is able to come in behind him with a dropkick, then a springboard DDT sends Uhaa to the floor where Pinkie comes over the ropes with a somersault. Pinkie goes to the apron and wastes time dancing, then tries to springboard bacck into the ring and Uhaa kills him with a Samoan drop. Pinkie with a running knee and then springboards onto Uhaa for a Frankensteiner, but Uhaa catches him and htis a pair of powerbombs, a slingshot powerbomb, a senton, and a standing moonsault for the win.

Winner: Uhaa Nation

Total domaintion by Uhaa here, Pinkie got in a couple slight bits of offense but was mostly ineffective, which is the rightway to book a match between Uhaa and a guy Pinkie's size. Uhaa says that 2012 is his year and we just witnessed the power of Blood Warriors. Lenny Leonard asks Ricochet for his thoughts on his match later tonight against Johnny Gargano, and he says that they train in Japan and now come back here where the disrespectful fans should thank him for coming to their grubby little town. He's walking out with the Open The Freedom Gate Title, and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Rich Swann and Chuck Taylor come out doing the Ronin rap and Swann says that Ricochet is CIMA's bitch and gets all the fans to sing along while calling Ricochet a bitch. Blood Warriors clear out so we can get to the next match.

Rich Swann & Chuck Taylor vs Super Smash Bros

Swann and Player Uno start off trading wristlocks and then chops and then Swann tags out to Taylor while Player Dos tags in as well. They go back and forth and Dos gets a flying headscissors and the SSB hit a drop toehold/kneedrop combo on Taylor for 2. Dos with a slingshot senton for 2, then the SSB with a side suplex/springboard Deathdrop combo for 2 on Taylor. Taylor comes out of nowhere and wipes Uno out with a clothesline, then tags out to Swann, who whips Taylor repeatedly into Uno and then takes him out with a running boot to the face for 2. Taylor knocks Dos off the ring apron and then gets Uno in a headscissors. Swann comes back in and trades chops with Uno, but Uno flattens Swann with a spinning sidewalk slam and makes the hot tagto Dos, who comes in and wipes Taylor out with a crossbody before dropkicking Swann to the floor. Dos with a tornado DDT on Taylor and a twisting dive to the floor on Swann. Dos off the top rope with a flying Rough Rider for 2, but Taylor hits Sole Food and then Uno and Swann come in for some bizarro double team I'm not even going to bother trying to identify. It's enough to get 2 on Taylor, but Taylor responds by powerbombing Dos onto Uno, booting Dos in the face, and laying out Uno so Swann can come in with a splash for 2. All heck breaks loose as they trade spots until all four men are down in the ring. Uno with a Flatliner on Taylor as Dos with a top rope Frogsplash on Swann and everyone's down again. Uno gets dumped to the floor and Taylor gets Dos in a fireman's carry on the apron, then Swann vaults over them to wipe out Uno with a dive. Swann with a Flitliner, Taylor with a top rope double stomp, and Swann with a standing shooting star press for 2. SSB with an Ontario Slam over the knees for 2 on Swann, then a Gory Driver/Blockbuster combo on Swann gets 2 when Taylor breaks up the cover. Uno blocks Sole Food, but misses a charge and tumbles to the floor as Taylor hits the Awful Waffle on Dos for the win.

Winners: Chuck Taylor & Rich Swann

Crowd is on their feet applauding a highly competitive match that made both teams look like a million bucks. Dos looks DEAD in the ring, but slowly rolls outside where Uno helps him to the back and Ronin do the postmatch promo. Taylor tells Ricochet that when he gets done touching his boyfriend CIMA, they want a shot at their title.

INTERMISSION (During which they play a great tribute video to the building which you can watch here.)

Jon Davis vs Kyle Matthews

Matthews goes to a side headlock, but Davis just lifts him up and tosses him across the ring. Matthews with a few shots that do no damage, but Davis flattens him with a chop. Matthews tries a sleeper, Davis backs into the corner to break, Matthews goes back to it andDavis easily reverses to a running powerslam. Davis runs him over with a back elbow and then nearly bodyslams him through the mat, then does it again because it's fun. Matthews tries a small package, Davis doesn't budge so Matthews tries a crossbody out of the corner and Davis catches him, then pumps him into the air for an Ace Crusher. Matthews caught him with a flying headscissors and a dropkick in the corner, but Davis flapjacks him and hits the Pounce, then Thirty Seconds Around The World for the fairly easy win.

Winner: Jon Davis

Not much to this one, but Davis lays out an open challenge to Fit Finlay, who he felt disrespected him at EVOLVE 9.

AR Fox is at ringside for the next match and tells Sami Callihan not to worry because he's just there to second Bobby Fish.

Bobby Fish vs Sami Callihan

They go right after each other with hard hitting offense, Fish killing Callihan with kicks while Callihan lays him out in the corner and hits a running facewash. Fish dumps Callihan to the floor and slingshots over the top rope onto him, then sends Sami back inside and goes up top where Fish beats him into the ring and comes off the top rope with a flying headbutt. Fish with a drop toehold and fires kicks into Callihan's chest until he goes down and covers him for 2. Fish whips Callihan hard face first into the corner and he goes down again. Fish charges and Callihan gets his boot up, but Fish catches it and legdrags him, but Callihan lays him out with a stiff kick of his own that sends Fish out to the apron where he kicks him high over the ropes. Callihan tries for the springboard clothesline out of the corner, but Fish has him scounted and just yanks him off the corner and into the ring. Callihan fires back with chops and kicks that tear Fish down like a tree trunk. Callihan goes for a bicycle kick but Fish dodgesand kicks Callihan's leg out from under him, he goes for a figure four but Callihansmall packages him for 2. Fish goes for the figure four again and Callihan tries to block, but Fish headbutts him and completes the hold. Callihan sits up and spits in Fish's face, so Fish just cranks on the hold and Callihan collapses to his back. Fish gets several two counts off the figure four, but Callihan reverses the hold and Fish is forced to go to the ropes to force the break. Fish unloads on Callihan with more kicks put Callihan rocks him with a right hand square to the jaw. Callihan goes for a charge but Fish catches him and suplexes him into the corner. Fish puts Callihan up top and they duke it out on the top rope, Callihan goes for a sunset bomb but Fish blocks, so Callihan kicks his leg out from under him and completes the powerbomb for 2 and then locks Fish in a figure four. Fish gets out of that and catches Callihan in a heel hook, but Callihan makes the ropes. They both get to their feet and trade kicks to the other's legs, then change it up and go to forearms, then back to the kicks until Fish kicks Callihan's leg so hard he simply crumples to the mat and Fish covers for 2. Callihan suddenly pops up out of nowhere and plants Fish with a backdrop suplex and then kicks straight on the inside of Fish's knee and traps him in the Stretch Muffler. Fish absolutely refuses to submit, so Callihan really cranks it on and Fox starts smacking Fish from the outside to fire him up, and Fish is somehow able to cradle Callihan for 2. Fish goes back to kicks, but Callihan blocks one and clips Fish's knee out from under him. Callihan gets distracted by Fox at ringside and goes for the Stretch Muffler again, but Fox spits at him and Callihan gets distracted again, allowing Fish to hit a backdrop suplex and trap Callihan in the heel hook right in the middle of the ring, forcing him to finally tap out.

Winner: Bobby Fish

I enjoyed the hell out of this match and the battle of attritition as they both tried their damndest to not be the first one to go down, but I was not a fan of Fox's involvement in the end. Fox gets in the ring to call Callihan a bitch and make fun of Callihan, leading to referee Mike Kehner trying to separate them. Fox handcuffs himself behind his back to give Callihan an easy target, and Pinkie Sanchez comes out to hand Callihan a beer bottle. Callihan badly wants to crack Fox with the bottle, and has to repeatedly restrain himself before leaving entirely.

It's main event time!

Open The Freedom Gate Title Match: Johnny Gargano vs Ricochet

This match is not being held under EVOLVE rules and will not affect their records in EVOLVE since a DGUSA title is on the line. Gargano has Taylor and Swann at ringside, while Ricochet has Uhaa Nation in his corner. Ricochet gets a go behind and they trade wristlocksbefore going to a stalemate, Gargano takes Ricochet down and goes to an armbar, but then they go to a fast paced, back and forth sequence that again ends in a stalemate. Another back and forth and this time Ricochet gets an armdrag and a dropkick to finally build a bit of momentum. Ricochet with a European uppercut in the corner and hits the Guile kick in the corner, but Gargano ducks a clothesline and hits a Flatliner into the second turnbuckle and then goes for a neckbreaker, Ricochet backflips through it and goes for a standing shooting star press, but Gargano misses and this time hits the neckbreaker. Gargano comes off the second and Ricochet gets the knees up, then hits the Zig Zag on Gargano but, amazingly, only gets a one count. Ricochet with an over the backstretch and walks over and starts swinging his body to slam Gargano's head into the turnbuckle. What a heel! Ricochet goes for a suplex but Gargano blocks with a kneestrike and then a boot to the head and clotheslines Ricochet to the floor. Ricochet pops back in and Gargano goes for the spear from the apron, but Ricochet moves. Gargano clotheslines him back out and hits a dive through the ropes, Ricochet misses a moonsault but lands on his feet, and Gargano twice tries to pop Ricochet onto his shoulders, but fails so he goes for a powerbomb and takes two tries to get him up and barely powerbomb him into the guardrail without killing him. Gargano rolls him back in and covers for 2, then hits an unassisted Sliced Bread #2 for 2. Gargano goes for Snake Eyes, Ricochet escapes and gets a springboard Ace Crusher out of the corner and gets 2. Ricochet with a cradle suplex into the corner and then a springboard senton for 2. Ricochet just starts slapping Gargano in the head until he gets up and they start going blow for blow and then trade enziguiris until Gargano went for the running Snake Eyes into the turnbuckle, Ricochet no-sells and hits the Pelle Kick, and Gargano superkicks Ricochet and they're both down. Gargano with a running dropkick in the corner, then Ricochet gets one, then goes to a top rope Frankensteiner but Gargano blocks and goes to the Gargano Escape. Ricochet escapes the Gargano Escape and comes off the second rope but Gargano catches him with a Zig Zag and goes back to the Gargano Escape. Ricochet gets out and dumps Ricochet to the apron, but goes after him and Ricochet hits a German suplex on the apron and then a Space Flying Tiger Drop, then rolls Gargano back in and hits a shooting star press for 2. Ricochet goes back up for a shooting star press and Gargano superkicks him on the way down and hits Hertz Donut for 2. They trade blows in the middle of the ring and Ricochet hits a series of superkicks followed by a twisting piledriver and an inverted Frankensteiner. Gargano gets back to his feet but Ricochet hits a knockout kick for a very close 2. Ricochet htis the 630 splash and covers Gargano, who again kicks out at 2. Ricochet goes back up again, but thistime Gargano evades the 630, hits another Hertz Donut, and goes to the Gargano Escape to finally force Ricochet to tap out.

Winner: Johnny Gargano

The crowd kind of turned on this one by the end, but I think part of that is because the match was kind of on the long side and the fans had been sitting here for eight hours already. I think if it weren't such a long day, this would have gotten a much better reaction because they told a good story with the two of them being so even that they were literally going back trading the same move to try and top one another. Ricochet looked great and the one spot where he hit the 630 I honestly thought he was going to get the win. Gargano appeared to get hurt somewhere during the finish and laid on the ring apron for several minutes while getting checked out by the commission doctor before being helped to the back by Taylor and Swann.

And now we come to the final segment of the night, as Lenny Leonard introduces the first ever ring announcer in this building, Bob Artese. He says it's a pleasure to be in this building one last time and they all appreciate their support throughout the years, and then he introduces the Extreme Announcer, Joey Styles. The crowd chants "OH MY GOD" at him during his entrance, and he says "All right, all right...OH MY GOD!" to thunderous applause. Joey thanks Gabe for having him and being here means more than working Madison Square Garden and Wrestlemania because this is where Joey Styles was created and this is where he spent so much of his life and thanks the fans for making it happen. He now wants to introduce some legendary figures from the past, starting with Pitbull 1 Gary Wolfe. Next, the guy who was on the wrong end of the first time Joey Styles ever said OH MY GOD, and the first man to ever dive off the balcony here, JT Smith. Next, the man who found Viking Hall and decided it would be a great place to hold a wrestling event, the man who founded ECW and gave them all their start, Tod Gordon.

Tod starts putting over the building and how everyone told him it was a toilet, but they made it their toilet and they're proud of what they've done over the last 20 years. DJ Hyde comes out with a bunch of CZW guys and says that it's not ECW's building anymore because CZW took it over and went beyond extreme and took it to ultraviolent. They ran more shows here than anyone, including ECW, and if anyone's going to close this building, it'll be them. They surround the ECW guys but Balls Mahoney's music hits and he comes out to clear the ring, but eventually gets outnumbered and beaten down. Natural Born Killaz plays and New Jack comes out with his trash can full of plunder and destroys the CZW guys until Justin Credible comes out with the Singapore cane, but then turns on ECW and lays New Jack out with the Singapore cane. The CZW guys take control until Sabu comes out and we start the final match to ever take place in this legendary building.

Justin Credible vs Sabu

Justin works Sabu over with the cane as fans chant "Justin Asshole" and whips him to the corner, but Sabu gets the boot up and comes off the second rope with a tornado DDT. Sabu out to the apron and comes in with the somersault legdrop for 2, then Sabu locks Justin in the modified Camel Clutch. Sabu gets a chair and goes for the triple jump into the corner, but Justin catches him coming in with a cane shot to the midsection. Justin with a clothesline for 2, then takes the chair and goes to toss it at Sabu, but Sabu ducks, Justin waits for him to turn back and this time tosses him the chair, but Sabu ducks again before Justin can do anything with it, but now Justin waits and superkicks the chair into Sabu's face. Justin goes under the ring and gets a table, balancing it between the ring and the guardrail, but Justin goes after him. Sabu rams Justin into the rail and puts him on the table, but Justin rolls off and yanks Sabu down off the ring apron and continues beating him around ringside before whipping him into the rail. Justin tries again but Sabu reverses and Justin flies over the rail and into the crowd, then Justin comes back over and Sabu bashes a trash can lid over his head. They head back in and Sabu hits a DDT in the middle of the ring, then sets the table up and grabs the chair. Justin low blows Sabu and he rolls onto the table where Justin hits him with the chair and leaves the chair on his chest. Justin goes up top and comes off, but Sabu launches the chair into Justin's face on the way down and breaks the table as he rolls offof it. Sabu springboards off the table and gets the half camel clutch while jabbing a spike into Justin's head over and over. Sabu sets the table back up and goes back to brutalizing Justin with the spike until referee Mike Kehner finally grabs it out of his hand. Crowd tells Kehner what they think of that, but Sabu goes up the ropes with a chair but Justin nails him and hits a weak That's Incredible for 2. They fight over the chair and drop it, but Sabu dropkicks Justin's legs out from under him and he crashes face first onto the chair. Sabu throws the chair at Justin's head and puts him back on the table, bashes him with the chair again, and comes off the top rope with the chair for an Arabian Facebuster through the table. Justin is laying on the mat twitching while Sabu crawls over and covers for the final three count in the Arena.

Winner: Sabu

Terrific final match, and Joey Styles comes in and says he can't think of a better way to close this venue than with...waiut, Sabu asks for the microphone. Joey says Sabu wants to speak (drawing a "holy shit" chant from the crowd), and he hands him the microphone. Sabu mulls over what he's going to say, but Sami Callihan runs out from the back and nailsSabu from behind, then begins assaulting him with the bottle. Sabu is a bloody messas Callihan says this is the alarm closing the book on the Arena. He's sick of the funerals, the Hardcore Homecomings, and wants to know how many reunions we're going to have before this thing finally dies. This ain't the era of extreme anymore because over the last few years, this has become his ring. He looks at Sabu and says "Hey, you" before stomping on his face. He says these are his fans and his building and if anyone's going to end the era of extreme, it's going to be him. He says to look at Sabu - a beaten, bloodied, broken corpse, just like every other extreme legend out there who won't go away. If anyone ends the era of extreme, it's going to be him, and if anyone thinks they can stop Sami Callihan, he dares them to try. AR Fox runs out and attacks Callihan, but Pinkie Sanchez comes out and goes after Fox and gives him a spike DDT. Callihan says one more thing before he goes: to all the DUFs out there, they're cool by him and if they're not, they should jump on the bandwagon and be like him. To all the people who have supported him, bought his merch, and helped him get married this year, he wants to tell them from the bottom of his heart to (explicit act deleted). The extreme era has finally died and been put out of its misery by the Death Machine, and he tells them to hit the lights. The lights do indeed go out and Callihan's music plays, and when they come back up the ring is empty except for a destroyed table and a chair laying in the middle of the ring.

Terrific show overall, great wrestling top to bottom and an absolutely appropriate and fitting way to close this legendary wrestling venue. This puts a ton of attention on Callihan, and if he hadn't made his name before, he sure has now.

2013 - The Tampa Bay Times reportoed that Hulk Hogan filed a lawsuit against the Tampa-based Laser Spine Institute, seeking $50 million in damages.  His claim is that the clinic performed unnecessary surgeries on him and damaged his career.  Hogan filed the suit in Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Court under his real name, Terry Bollea.

The suit claims that "numerous prominent spine surgeons" recommended traditional spinal surgery for Bollea, but that the Spine Institute told him that would effectively end his career. Bollea claims he was "the victim of multiple unnecessary endoscopic surgical procedures that further destabilized his already existing injured back."

Hogan also claimed that the Institute used him as an endorser without his permission or payment.

2013 - WE Divas champion Eve Torres finished up with WWE.  The word was that Torres was the latest burnt out from being on the road full-time from 2007 on, as she had privately talked of taking time off to get married and work on her home and personal goals, including her own self-defense program.

2013 - WWE broadcast Raw.  Richard Trionfo filed the following TV report:

Twenty years ago, professional wrestling changed with the debut of a show from the Manhattan Center in New York City. Who would have known that a young man named Mike Johnson would go from attending that show to being one of the pillars of the internet wrestling community. Who will be the person in Houston to be the next Mike Johnson for the 40th anniversary of Raw?

We begin with a montage of the Raw opens through the years.

We are in Houston, Texas and your announcers are Michael ‘Where is the Harlem part of this town’ Cole, John ‘Welcome to my state’ Layfield, and Jerry ‘Biggio and Bagwell were robbed’ Lawler.

It is starting to feel a lot like 1993 because Vince McMahon is in the ring. Vince welcomes everyone to the twentieth anniversary of Monday Night Raw. We have seen a lot in twenty years. Most of all, we have seen entertainment. Raw has been so entertaining that since its inception, four billion viewers have watched Raw.

Why have over four billion viewers enjoyed Raw? Because Vince is a certifiable iconic genius. He also says that it is because of the fans. They will continue to make history tonight. Dolph Ziggler will face John Cena tonight. It will be in a steel cage. We will have a Rock Concert tonight.

Vince is interrupted by the former World Champion, the Big Show. Show tells Vince that he is sorry but the twentieth anniversary celebration will have to wait. They need to address the travesty that happened to him on Smackdown.

Vince reminds Show that he does not like being told what to do. He does not like being interrupted. He does not like certain people calling him Vince.

Show says ‘sir’ and then he continues. He would like to address what happened on Smackdown.

Vince tells Show that he looks good and he has lost some weight. He says that Show is no longer carrying the World Championship.

Show says that is why he his out here. He wants to address the travesty.

Vince wants to roll the footage and Show says that it isn’t necessary. Since he came out unannounced, they don’t have the footage ready.

Vince says that we need to watch the footage.

Show says that is what he is talking about. He wasn’t prepared for that type of match on Smackdown. Why would Booker put him in that match. Maybe he is trying to make Del Rio a hero to the Latinos. It is not fair. Booker is jealous of him. He has a no cut iron clad contract. Booker and everyone is inferior to him.

Vince asks Show what he would have him do.

Show says that since he is Vince’s most precious commodity, Vince should strip the inferior Alberto Del Rio of his title.

Ricardo Rodriguez comes out and he introduces the current World Champion, Albertooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Del Riooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Alberto tells Big Show for someone who talks about being a giant so much, he comes off so small. He remembers that Show had so much fun picking on Ricardo, but when someone picks on him, Show becomes a crying baby. Instead of complaining to Mr. McMahon, why not do something about that. Why not give the people Alberto Del Rio versus Big Show for the title tonight?

Show says no. This is exactly what he has been talking about. He was not prepared on Friday. He is not prepared tonight. He is wearing a custom made suit.

Del Rio says that Show is bigger and stronger than him. For once in his life, he tells Show to show some cajones.

Show says that he is not going to waste his rematch here tonight and he tells Del Rio that he is delusional to think that. He will fight Del Rio when he wants to fight him, not when Del Rio wants to fight him. A perfect place for that title is not in Houston, it is at the Royal Rumble.

A smart man like himself, chooses the battleground. When it is all said and done, people won’t be talking about CM Punk, the Rock, or who survived the 30 man Royal Rumble . . . they will be talking about him because he is going to knock Del Rio out and take back his World Championship. He tells Del Rio to enjoy his fifteen minutes of fame.

Alberto says something in Spanish and he translates for Show and says that he called him a fat jackass in Spanish.

Show asks if this is Vince’s World Champion to insult him.

Alberto says that Ricardo has a present for Show. Ricardo gets a bucket and Show tells Ricardo if he throws water on him, he will break Ricardo’s spine in half.

Ricardo thinks about it and he throws confetti on Show. Del Rio and Show battle and Del Rio with a rana and a step up enzuigiri.

We go to commercial.

Dr. Shelby says that they will purposely antagonize them and when they feel their angry feelings, they need to let them wash away and find their happy place.

Cody wants to know what kind of quack he is to have a happy place. Sandow insults Shelby. Shelby says that they are here to help him and not criticize him. Shelby and Sandow argue. Cody says that he doesn’t know who is a bigger failure, then as a team or Shelby as a therapist.

Rock will come out here and sing and dance and entertain, but that is your opinion. At the Royal Rumble, no matter your opinion or the Rock’s opinion, he will not leave the WWE Champion. That is a fact. He is the best in the world. That is not an opinion, that is a fact.

He came out looking like the biggest badass the world had ever seen. Straight beast and we see a photo of Rocky Maivia. He sees the photo and wonders what was he thinking. He looked like an escaped mental patient trying out for the Backstreet Boys. He says that looking at that photo, you can overcome anything if you put your mind to it.

Tonight is not about the past, it is about the present. It is the return of the Rock Concert to Houston, Texas. His first song is a song sung to the tune of Heartbreak Hotel.

It is for someone who really really deserves it.

The Rock knows all the divas, but one thinks she’s the best. The one who wears an ugly suit and has big floppy breasts. His name is Paul Heyman. He’s so ugly, make you cry.

When you run down the people, Rock knows your secret fears, your fat covers up your little penis that you haven’t seen in years.

It is time for song number two, but mentions a special guest. He introduces Dusty Hill from ZZ Top.

Rock wants to know how the ladies are doing tonight.

Rock says that his favorite curve on a woman is her smile.

He says that there is a special woman he wants to sing to tonight.

Rock says that it isn’t cookie puss. He wants Vickie Guerrero to come out.

Late in the evening, she’s wondering what clothes to wear. She puts on her makeup, she brushes that short black hair. And then she’ll ask me, do I look alright. And I say, no biatch, you look horrible tonight.

You abuse all your power. Waste everybody’s time. You dress like a hooker. Not the expensive kind. Get your ass to the airport, take a one way flight because biatch, you look horrible tonight.

It is time to talk about kicking ass. He wants to call out somebody right here and right now. He calls out CM Punk.

Punk does not come out at first but eventually he makes his way to the stage with the official WWE Title belt over the head holder. Punk takes over for Paul.

Rock says that he has some facts. For 421 days, no one has been able to stop him. Fact, that man beside Punk has Twinkie Tits. Last week, Punk said that facing him would be like boxing with God. Fact, Punk ain’t God. As God is his witness, in thirteen days, he will beat Punk for the WWE Title.
