HOGAN WANTING ONE MORE WWE TITLE RUN, TOTAL DIVAS, RIKISHI AS THE DRIVER WHO RAN OVER AUSTIN AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2014-12-26 10:00:00
From Survivor Series 1999 to when they revealed Rikishi as the man who hit Austin with his car, were there ever any other ideas tossed around for as to who would be revealed as the wheelman?

I am sure there were others. I remember there was talk of it being Triple H at the time, but Rikishi made sense in that it gave everyone a true surprise twist and gave Austin a return match without giving away a big match against Rock, HHH, etc.

Low Ki admitted in past interviews that, despite hating his time on NXT (whilst at the same time, happy over his victory in the season as the finale took place in his home state of New York) and contrary to what people were thinking, he enjoyed working with Layla and Michelle McCool, thus he viewed them as his friends and they felt the same. As of now, are Low Ki and LayCool still on good terms?

Why wouldn't they be? I don't know that they are inviting each other to Christmas parties, but certainly they had respect for each other as co-workers.

I just read a newspaper interview where Hulk Hogan is quoted saying he wants one more WWE title run. I'm so sick of this egomaniac. Wouldn't giving the title to this 61 year old, broken down fossil be the biggest disgrace to a world title since the WCW David Arquette fiasco?

I don't have an issue with it. If the story is told right, such as when ECW had Terry Funk go for his last title run in 1997, the idea of the old grizzled veteran trying to make a miracle happen can certainly be something special. People do want to see Hulk wrestle one more time. I'm all for it, just as a way for him to close the door. A title run? Not feeling that but Hogan trying to get the title? All for it, if it makes the champion stronger when he pins Hogan.

Do you think that Jerry Lawler should hang up the headsets and leave commentating?

No, why would he? Lawler is doing what he is told to do and if WWE is happy with him, so am I. I've always enjoyed Jerry's work, although part of me wishes he would be a hell on the headset again. I don't see Lawler leaving until he's done with the business and considering he's been a fan his entire life, probably will be never, as it should be. He's a living legend and we are lucky to have him around.

Wasn't the original intent of Total Diva to be a worked-shoot, sort of true but with wrestling's embellishments to the storyline? Seem like a complete soap opera now.

The show is presented exactly as it was always meant to be. The Kardashians within the WWE realm.
