NXT AT HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM, WRESTLING TOURING CUBA, TNA CONTRACTS AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2014-12-25 10:00:00
Due to recent changes in the relationship between the country of Cuba and the United States what is the incredible possibility of WWE and TNA staging wrestling shows in Cuba in the next five to ten years?

If and when it is legal to run there, I am sure WWE will promote an event. I wouldn't be shocked to see an independent outlet get in there first, as history has shown that was the case with Chin and other markets. TNA? They've hardly run internationally, so I don't see that as much of a likely outcome, but I can see WWE going to Cuba if and when entertainment entities are cleared to tour there.

According to Natalya everything you see on Total Divas is real including the tensions between her husband and herself. Some say its just a soap opera type format. What is the truth?

The show is greatly manipulated.

What's the latest between TNA and Gail Kim?

Gail has not signed a new deal with the company but has agreed to work on a per date deal, according to sources. So, you will see her in TNA going forward.

From what I just read is Abyss indeed gone from TNA?

That would be incorrect. He is still under contract to TNA. If you are confused by the fact that he is now taking independent dates, the reality is that TNA has relatively few dates scheduled, so they are relaxing their rules, allowing talents to take indy dates that are seen via DVD and iPPV.

In the past, HHH has not ruled out NXT ever expanding outside of Florida. To help talents get experience with a "different" audience than the usual sat Full Sail University, could you ever see NXT bringing one of their Takeover shows to a venue like the Manhattan Center/Hammerstein Ballroom? That type of fan base would react MUCH better to NXT than they did for the ECW revival that gave them Batista vs Big Show.

I would agree with you, 100%, but understand that is costs far more to run NYC, where they have to transport the crew, deal with unions, etc. then it costs to rub Full Sail University, a short drive from where the developmental roster lives, the in-house staff, etc. That said, I'd love to see WWE NXT run the facility.
