WHY NXT TAKEOVER: R EVOLUTION WAS SO GOOD, WHY I DON’T MIND THAT BROCK IS THE WWE CHAMPION, WHO SHOULD BEAT RUSEV AND MORE

I just saw NXT Revolution and my mind is blown. It was awesome to say the least, and the women's match was spectacular. They gave us good matches with ample time and a lot of emotional investment and didn't have/need any fluff to fill up the two hours.  So why in heavens name don't they book Raw and Smackdown the same way. Clearly it can be done since they do it with NXT. And if the guys and girls are so good, why don't they make them 'wrestle' like that when they move up to the main roster, especially the women. I haven't been watching NXT but after watching Revolution I just may start to.

The major difference is that NXT is the vision of Triple H while the WWE product is purely the vision of Vince McMahon. With that said, even if H was in charge of WWE booking there would be more fluff to it because a product that appeals to the masses calls for that. But I think the fundamental difference between their visions of the business is that H will give a guy a chance to prove himself before bailing on him, which Vince does too quickly a lot of the time with talents.

Wow wow wow wow. That was the best show I’ve seen in a long, long time. Just everything was perfect. And, guess what – it didn’t stink of Vince McMahon. Coincidence?

As mentioned above no it’s not a coincidence.

Why weren't you concerned about Brock Lesnar not being on Raw as champion when you were pretty much praying that he would beat John Cena at SummerSlam in the first place?  Wouldn't WWE have been better off to not put the belt on Brock and let Cena drop the belt to someone who would actually be there?

I wasn’t concerned because I am knowledgable person and understood the details of Brock’s contract. I can understand how non-smart fans are upset, but people that read this site know the deal. As for Brock winning, I am all for it since the last thing WWE needs now is the Groundhog Day scenario with Cena as champion, yet again. I don’t have a problem with Brock holding the the Title now. He will be appearing a lot more in the coming months so he will be on TV. I was not in favor of them taking the belt off of Brock because it would not have meant much. Now, when someone beats him, it could actually elevate that person (provided it’s not John Cena).

Roman Reigns as superstar of the year?  Forgive me if I missed something, but what did he accomplish (other than becoming a big fan favourite) to deserve the nod over guys like Daniel Bryan (won the title at Wrestlemania and was THE top guy until his injury) or Brock (beat the streak)?  Even Cena is much more deserving than Roman.  You said the voting was legitimate, but I don't see Reigns winning as anything else other than to give him a push coming off his injury.  Your thoughts?

You answered it yourself, he was a fan favorite. It was a fan vote. All the Slammys are is a popularity contest.

We all know that Rusev has been dominant and impressive since debuting in the WWE, and there was a discussion on this site not too long ago about the possibility of John Cena being the first to defeat Rusev via pinfall or submission in the near future.  While that may look great on paper, it’s not appealing.  John Cena already has a Hall of Fame-caliber career and doesn’t need to beat Rusev and add the victory to his long list of accolades.  I propose this:  Brock Lesnar becomes the first to defeat Rusev via pinfall or submission.  I mean, Lesnar is “the one in 21-1” at Wrestlemania and suplexed Cena into oblivion at Summerslam.  He’s been built up as an unstoppable force.  Why not continue Lesnar’s “Beast Incarnate” persona and have him be the one to finally defeat Rusev in a clean match, maybe at or after Wrestlemania?  Your thoughts?

I don’t know who proposed Cena beating Rusev but it was not me. I think that would be among the worst things WWE could do. In fact, I think Rusev should beat Cena and Lesnar, in an effort to make a top guy. But if one of them has to beat Rusev out of the two you mentioned, it better be Brock.
