WAS WWE IN CAHOOTS WITH CM PUNK, LINDA HOGAN, TNA AS WWE COMPETITION AND MORE

After the huge amount of publicity CM Punk got from the Colt Cabana & Steve Austin/McMahon podcasts, was this all a carefully & beautifully orchestrated publicity rollout by Punk & UFC, with McMahon as an unwilling & unknowing accomplice? Or was the McMahon part just a lucky coincidence? Either way, Dana White likely landed a big buyrate for Punk's first UFC match.

Not at all. Punk just lucked out with WWE actually playing into his hands. It was a rare case of WWE actually helping someone else's momentum outside their own company.

So on the podcast after RAW on Monday, Austin mentioned (with all due respect to TNA), that McMahon has no competition. Dixie Carter responded by saying how it's ridiculous to say that they're not competition. On one hand, TNA can't match WWE in the ratings. However, on the other hand, if TNA is not competition then why do wrestlers have to sign a 90-day no compete clause? If TNA is not competition then why would it matter if a wrestler wants to go there after leaving WWE? So, my question is, do you think TNA is or is not competition to WWE?

Everyone is competition to WWE, but to say TNA is on the same scale as the company, well, they aren't - not ion ratings, money drawn, or revenue. It's just the reality. That doesn't mean WWE should make it easy for their talents to just walk off their TV and go elsewhere, either.

After watching Takedown, is it possible the entire main roster can go to NXT so we can see how good they actually are?

That's probably the funniest question we've ever gotten, but no.

Whatever happened to Linda Hogan?

Really? Linda? Wow. She's living in California and well, I don't know. She appeared in a hip hop video in the last year or so but beyond that, not much in the public eye.

With all the great indies in the NYC area, why aren't some of them on TV?

I think it's because the cost of TV is so high in most markets but especially in the NYC area. These are smaller groups with no major backers.
