Before the show starts, they show the match between Ivelisse and Mia Yim from the WWN tour of China when Mia became the third SHINE champion.
Lenny Leonard and Rob Naylor make their way into the ring.
Lenny brings out the new Shine Champion, Mia Yim.
Lenny mentions her victory in front of more than 10,000 fans to become the third Shine Champion.
Mia says that she cannot put into words how it felt to win. It took 2 years for her to finally win the title.
Lenny mentions that she was one half of the first tag team champions and she asks Mia about her goals.
Mia says that she hopes to hold on to the titles for a long time.
Lenny mentions Mia’s opponent tonight, Nevaeh and how she beat Mia.
Mia says that Nevaeh cheated with help from others, but tonight she faces her one-on-one.
Lenny mentions that Mia will raise the prestige of the title that has also been held by Rain and Ivelisse.
Mia says that she has big shoes to fill. She will maintain the prestige of the Shine Title.
Ivelisse’s music plays and she makes her way to the ring.
Rob mentions Ivelisse’s ten month reign as the Shine Champion and her many title defenses.
Ivelisse congratulates Mia but it does not sound sincere. She wants to know what is wrong with this picture. She says that not only is Mia holding HER championship, she didn’t deserve the title shot in the first place. While she was destroying challengers, where was Mia?
You were clowning around playing dress up. Ivelisse says she defended the title with honor and pride for ten month against the best in the world. She defended the title three times in China and Mia was in the right place at the right time. Just like you said, you have big shoes to fill. Ivelisse tells Mia to grow eyes in the back of your head because she is coming back to her. Her precious is coming back.
Ivelisse complains about not getting her rematch. Ivelisse wants Nevaeh to come to the ring.
Mia is sent out of the ring.
Match Number One: Ivelisse versus Amanda Rodriguez
Ivelisse with a double leg take down and she punches Amanda. The referee warns Ivelisse that he will disqualify her. Amanda with kicks but Ivelisse kicks back. Ivelisse with a kick to the chest and Amanda has trouble breathing. Ivelisse with a butterfly suplex and she holds on for a second one. Ivelisse holds on and Amanda drops down to block a third one. Ivelisse rolls through into a guillotine but Amanda gets into the ropes.
Ivelisse releases the hold but she punches Amanda until the referee warns her again. Amanda with punches and forearms but Ivelisse with a chop. Amanda with a forearm and Ivelisse with another chop. They go back and forth with more chops. Amanda with a DDT and she gets a near fall.
Amanda charges into the corner and Ivelisse gets her feet up and then she kicks Amanda and she is out. Ivelisse with a Calf Killer and Amanda taps out.
Winner: Ivelisse
After the match, Ivelisse holds up Amanda’s arm and she leaves the ring.
Match Number Two: Amber O'Neal versus Luscious Latasha
Amber attacks Latasha as Latasha enters the ring. Amber kicks and chokes Latasha. The referee warns Amber but Amber sends Latasha into the turnbuckles and she connects with a shoulder in the corner. Amber with a kick and more punches while the referee tries to stop Amber.
The referee checks on Latasha while Amber goes to the floor and she gets a chair and brings it into the ring. Amber grabs Latasha but Santana comes into the ring to talk to her former tag team partner.
Amber wants to know what Santana is doing here since she doesn’t work here any more.
Amber kicks Santana but Santana with a double leg take down. Amber punches Santana but Santana rolls Amber over and punches her.
Lexie Fyfe comes out to separate Amber and Santana.
The crowd wants Amber and Santana to fight but will they be given the opportunity?
Lexie takes the mic and she gives it to Amber.
Amber says that she was sent here to do a job but Santana doesn’t belong here any more.
Santana says that she doesn’t know who Amber is any more. They were best friends and tag team partners. She was in Amber’s wedding. Regardless of where she has been and where she will go, she does not forget who her friends are. She calls Amber pathetic.
Santana says that if Amber wants a match, we can do it.
Amber says that she is Amber Gallows, the Bullet Babe now. She was given an agenda by the Bullet Club. She wasn’t on the hit list, but now she is.
Amber leaves the ring.
Match Number Two: Allysin Kay (with April Hunter) versus Crazy Mary Dobson
Allysin offers her hand and it confuses Mary. They shake hands and this will be a match with honor. They lock up and Allysin with a wrist lock. Mary rolls through and takes Allysin down with an arm drag. Mary with an arm bar but Allysin gets to the ropes. Mary charges at Allysin but Allysin sends Mary to the floor. Allysin goes to the apron and she holds the ropes open for Mary.
Mary re-enters the ring with no problems or chicanery from Allysin. They lock up and Allysin with a side head lock. Mary with a reversal into a side head lock of her own. Mary with a shoulder tackle but it cannot knock Allysin down. Mary is sent into the turnbuckles but Allysin misses a charge. Mary with a kick in the corner and a cartwheel kick to Allysin for a near fall. Mary with a drop kick that sends Allysin to the floor.
Mary holds the ropes open for Allysin and that shocks Allysin. Allysin says that Mary is a classy lady so she goes into the ring but Allysin shows that she has no class and she kicks Mary to the floor. Allysin slams Mary’s head into the apron. Allysin sends Mary into the ring post and then she returns to the ring. Allysin tells the referee to count Mary out.
Mary rolls back in and Allysin kicks Mary but the referee warns Allysin. Allysin chokes Mary again and the referee warns her one more time. Allysin kicks Mary and pulls her out of the corner. Allysin works on Mary’s neck and pulls out some of Mary’s hair. Allysin with a boot to the chest for a near fall.
Allysin with a reverse chin lock. Allysin with a forearm but Mary with a knee as she sends Allysin into the ropes. Mary with another knee to the midsection. She calls for a third one but Allysin with an arm wringer and she chokes Mary. Allysin with chops to Mary and then she kicks and chokes Mary in the corner. Allysin sends Mary into the turnbuckles again. Allysin with an Irish whip and Mary does a Flair Flip to the apron.
Mary with kicks to Allysin from the apron and then she goes up top for a cross body and she gets a near fall. Allysin with a splash into the corner followed by an Irish whip. Allysin misses a second splash into the corner and Mary with a shoulder in the corner. She puts Allysin on the turnbuckles and she hits a super rana but Allysin rolls to the floor.
Mary goes after Allysin on the floor and rolls her back in. Mary gets a near fall. Mary goes for a fisherman’s suplex but Allysin blocks it and she kicks Mary and sets for a power bomb but Mary gets away. Mary tries for a German suplex but Allysin blocks it. Allysin with a pair of heart punches and she sends Mary into the turnbuckles. Allysin puts Mary on the top turnbuckle and Allysin sets for a belly-to-back superplex but Mary blocks it and knocks Allysin to the mat. Mary with a split legged moonsault but Allysin grabs the ropes.
April distracts Mary and that allows Allysin to hit a discus lariat for the three count.
Winner: Allysin Kay
Match Number Three: The Buddy System (Heidi Lovelace and Solo Darling [with Daffney]) versus B.T.Y. (Jayme Jameson and Marti Belle [with So Cal Val])
Solo and Heidi attack Belle and Jameson before the bell rings and they use the apron on Belle and Jameson. Heidi sends Belle into the ring steps. Heidi with forearms to Belle and then she holds Belle and Jameson for Solo to hit a Nestea Plunge onto them. Heidi rolls Belle into the ring and the referee holds Solo back.
Belle slaps Solo and Solo with punches to Belle. Solo with a head butt and she tags in Heidi. Heidi with an STO and Solo with a back senton off Heidi’s back. Jameson tags in and Heidi with a knee and drop kick. Solo tags in and she hits a drop kick on Jameson for a near fall. Solo with a side head lock and Heidi tags back in. Jameson puts Heidi on the turnbuckles but Heidi kicks Jameson.
Jameson pulls Heidi off the turnbuckles and Jameson gets a near fall. Belle tags in and she kicks Heidi. Belle slams Heidi’s face into the mat and then Belle with a modified figure four on Heidi. Belle kicks Heidi and tags in Jameson. Jameson with knees to the hamstring and she applies a Boston Crab. Jameson turns it into a single leg crab as she focuses on the left knee. Jameson kicks Heidi in the knee and applies a front face lock.
Belle tags in and she kicks Heidi in the leg and she hits a KneeDT. Belle drives the injured knee into the mat and then she kicks Heidi in the head. Jameson tags in while Belle has a leg submission on Heidi. Jameson runs Heidi into the turnbuckles and she wraps the leg in the ropes.
Jameson tries to pull Heidi out of the corner but Heidi holds on. Heidi floats over on an Irish whip and she sends Jameson into the corner. Belle tags in while the referee is distracted by Val. Belle applies more pressure to the leg while Heidi is caught in the ropes. Jameson tags back in and she connects with a knee to the midsection and then she gets Heidi on her shoulders for a back breaker but Heidi is able to escape and she makes the tag.
Solo with clotheslines and a double spear. Solo shakes the ropes and she targets Jameson and she connects with kicks in the corner. Solo with a series of chops in the corner and then she connects with an elbow to Belle. Jameson with a kick and then Belle kicks Solo while Jameson has Solo up for a back breaker. Heidi breaks up the cover.
Heidi kicks Belle to the floor. Solo with a jawbreaker and she makes the tag but Heidi has trouble putting weight on her injured leg. Belle blocks kicks from Solo and Heidi and she drops them to the mat. Jameson gets the pinfall on Heidi with some extra leverage from the ropes.
Winners: Marti Belle and Jayme Jameson
After the match, Belle grabs a chair and she hits Heidi in the back of the leg with it. Belle puts a chair on Heidi’s leg and she stomps on it. Jameson holds Solo to watch the assault on Heidi but Solo fights off Jameson and she forces Belle and Jameson to leave the ring.
Solo and Daffney check on Heidi.
Match Number Four: Leva versus Vanessa Kraven
Leva uses her speed advantage to avoid Kraven on a first attempt at a lock up. She continues to avoid Kraven. They lock up and Kraven sends Leva to the mat and Leva goes to the apron. She returns to the ring and she applies a waist lock and Kraven uses her size to back Leva into the corner and hits a splash. Kraven with another splash into the corner.
Kraven goes for a third splash but Leva moves. Leva with kicks in the corner but Kraven pushes her away. Leva with more kicks and a slap to Kraven. Leva with kicks to the leg that have no effect. Kraven blocks a kick and Leva with an enzuigiri and drop kick but Kraven stays on her feet. Leva with a splash into the corner and she sends Kraven to the mat and she hits a running boot to the face for a near fall.
Leva goes to the turnbuckles and Kraven catches Leva and hits a fallaway slam. Kraven sends Leva into the turnbuckles and chokes her in the corner. Kraven with a chop that sends Leva to her knees. Kraven with another chop and Leva is down again. Kraven chokes Leva in the ropes. Kraven gets a near fall on Leva. Kraven with a kick to the back followed by a snap mare and kick to the back for a near fall.
Leva tries for a sunset flip but Kraven picks Leva up. Leva tries for another sunset flip but Kraven does not go over. Kraven misses a sit down splash when Leva moves. Leva with a running boot for a near fall. Kraven with a clothesline for a near fall. Kraven gets Leva up for a delayed vertical suplex and then she kicks Leva in the ribs. Kraven kicks Leva in the corner.
Kraven sets for a cannonball and connects. Kraven with a Jericho cover and she can only get a near fall. Leva with forearms to the back but Kraven with a clothesline and she stomps on Leva’s chest and hits a splash for a near fall. Kraven sets for a Yakuza Kick into the corner but Leva moves. Leva with chops to Kraven followed by kicks to the leg. Leva tries for an Irish whip but Kraven does not budge. Leva with a tornado DDT for a near fall.
Leva with a drop kick to Kraven followed by a running cutter for a near fall. Leva tries for a head scissors but Kraven with a modified Michinoku Driver for a near fall. Leva with a lungblower and she goes to the turnbuckles. Leva with a double stomp to the back for a near fall. Leva with forearms to the back from the turnbuckles and she punches Kraven.
Leva pushes the referee into the ropes and it crotches Leva. Kraven with a sit out power bomb for the three count.
Winner: Vanessa Kraven
Match Number Five: Leah Von Dutch versus Thunderkitty (with Leilani Kai)
They have a pose down in the center of the ring and Leah complains about Thunderkitty’s aroma. They lock up and Kitty with a wrist lock. Leah with a reversal but Kitty with a reversal into a hammer lock. Leah with a reversal into a full nelson. Kitty stomps on the foot and escapes. Kitty with an arm drag but Leah with a cartwheel and reversal. Kitty backs Leah into the corner and she releases the hold.
Kitty misses a punch in the corner and Leah with arm drags followed by a splash and a bulldog for a near fall. Kitty blocks a kick and she pulls Leah to the mat by the hair. Kitty with a kick to Leah. Kitty with a chop but Leah with a chop and snap mare followed by a drop kick for a near fall.
Kitty with chops as they go around the ring. Kitty sends Leah into the turnbuckles followed by an Irish whip and shoulder in the corner. Kitty with more shoulders and then Kitty yells at the referee while Leilani chokes Leah. Leah with a rollup for a near fall. Kitty with a clothesline while the referee warns Leilani about interfering.
Kitty chokes Leah. Kitty with a slam and elbow drop for a near fall. Kitty catapults Leah into the ropes and then she argues with the referee to allow Leilani to choke Leah. Kitty with a running hip splash to Leah against the ropes. Kitty sends Leah into the turnbuckles and connects with shoulders. Kitty with a suplex for a near fall. Kitty with an Irish whip but Leah stops Kitty and kicks her in the head. Leah with a clothesline off the turnbuckles followed by another clothesline and drop kick. Leah with a Yakuza Kick in the corner and Kitty falls face first into the mat. Leah gets a near fall and the referee tells Leilani to stop trying to interfere. Leah goes up top and misses a moonsault when Kitty moves.
Kitty with forearms to the back followed by an Irish whip. Leah goes for a sunset flip but Kitty drops down and Leilani adds more leverage to allow Kitty to get the three count.
Winner: Thunderkitty
Match Number Six: Taylor Made (with April Hunter) with La Rosa Negra
Rosa and April have some words before the match starts.
Taylor attacks Rosa from behind and kicks her in the corner. Taylor argues with the referee while April chokes and hits Rosa. Taylor slams Rosa’s head into the mat and connects with forearms. Taylor with a drop toe hold followed by a drop kick for a near fall. Taylor with forearms to Rosa and then she chokes Rosa in the corner. Taylor puts Rosa in the ropes and connects with forearms.
Taylor talks to the referee on the other side of the ring to allow April to hit Rosa. Taylor slaps Rosa in the face but Rosa did not appreciate that. Rosa with slaps to Taylor. Rosa with punches and elbows followed by an uppercut and drop kick. Rosa with a round kick. Rosa with an uppercut and then she sends Taylor into the turnbuckles. Rosa with a back elbow out of the corner for a near fall. April trips Rosa as she comes off the ropes and Taylor kicks Rosa in the back.
Taylor gets a near fall. Taylor with a boot to Rosa’s midsection and then she starts to work on the leg. Taylor with a kick to the back and then she chokes Rosa in the ropes. Taylor kicks Rosa in the head. Taylor with a forearm and Irish whip to the sternum followed by knees to the back that send Rosa into the turnbuckles. Taylor with a neck breaker for a near fall. Taylor with a leap frog neck breaker for a near fall.
Rosa tries for a sunset flip and she eventually gets Taylor over for a near fall. Taylor with a drop kick for a near fall when Rosa gets her hand on the ropes. Both women go for a cross body and both go down. Rosa with a kick and a back heel kick followed by chops. Rosa with a back elbow. Rosa with a slap.
Rosa with a kick and an atomic drop followed by a belly-to-back suplex. Rosa goes to the turnbuckles but April gets on the apron and trips Rosa and she lands awkwardly on the mat. April has a discussion with the referee and Taylor with a back heel kick and cutter but Rosa kicks out.
Taylor and April argue with the referee about his count and April gets on the apron to talk to the referee. Taylor is handed brass knuckles and she hits Rosa with them and she gets the three count.
Winner: Taylor Made
After the match, Taylor continues the attack on Rosa and Ivelisse makes her way to the ring to make the save for Rosa.
Match Number Seven: SHINE Tag Team Championship Match: Legendary (Malia Hosaka and Brandi Wine [with Leilani Kai]) versus The Kimber Bombs (Kimber Lee and Cherry Bomb)
Cherry and Malia start things off with a test of strength but Malia with a kick to gain the advantage. Cherry stomps on the foot and gets a wrist lock. Brandi chokes Cherry and connects with a forearm while the referee is distracted. Brandi tags in and hits a double sledge form the apron. Brandi with a wrist lock but Cherry with a side head lock take down. Brandi with a head scissors.
Cherry returns to the side head lock but Malia breaks up the hold and she tags in. Malia kicks Cherry in the hamstring and she applies a Sharpshooter. Brandi kicks Cherry from the apron and then they double team Cherry while Leilani distracts the referee. Malia kicks Kimber on the apron and then she sends Cherry into Brandi’s boot. Leilani chokes Cherry in the ropes while the referee is distracted.
Cherry with a double clothesline and Kimber is tagged in. Kimber with a side slam to Malia for a near fall. Kimber hits Brandi on the apron and then Kimber and Cherry suplex Malia and Brandi. Kimber and Cherry bring Brandi back into the ring and Brandi gets to the ropes. Kimber tries for a suplex but Brandi blocks it and she connects with a forearm to the back and she continues to work on the back.
Malia tags in and she drops a knee to the leg. Mali with a step over toe hold followed by a leg drop to the leg. Malia mocks Cherry on the apron and she connects with a forearm. Malia hits Cherry on the apron and the referee stops Cherry from helping Kimber while Brandi and Malia double team Kimber.
Brandi tags in and she kicks Kimber. Brandi pulls Cherry into the ring so the referee is distracted while Leilani chokes Kimber in the ropes. Brandi with a slam and she gets a near fall. Brandi sends Kimber into Malia’s knee and then Malia tags in. Malia with a flying forearm and she gets a near fall. Malia with a hair mare.
Malia with a kick to the back. Brandi chokes Malia in the ropes and Leilani helps with the choking. Brandi tags in and she punches Kimber. Brandi tries to pull Kimber out of the corner but Kimber kicks her way. Brandi distracts the referee and Malia drops Kimber on the top rope and Brandi gets a near fall. Brandi with a front face lock.
Brandi sends Kimber to the mat and she tags Malia back in. Malia with a punch to the midsection followed by a swinging neck breaker but when she goes for a splash Kimber gets her knees up. Kimber with an X Factor and both women are down.
Cherry and Brandi tag in and Cherry with a clothesline and back elbow followed by a sliding forearm against the ropes. Cherry goes up top and hits a missile drop kick . Kimber tags in and she hits a missile drop kick on Malia. Cherry gets Brandi up for a running power slam and Kimber hits a Swanton but Leilani distracts the referee and Thunderkitty pulls Kimber out of the ring and they send her into the ring post. Brandi covers Kimber and gets the three count.
Winners: Brandi Wine and Malia Hosaka
After the match, Thunderkitty, Malia, Brandi, and Leilani attack Kimber and Cherry. Leah Von Dutch comes to the ring with a chair to force them to the back.
Match Number Eight: Santana versus Amber Gallows
Amber attacks Santana when she enters the ring and she chokes her in the corner and connects with punches. Santana takes Amber down and punches her. Amber kicks Santana into the corner and the match officially starts.
Santana with more punches but Amber pushes her off. Amber with a shoulder in the corner followed by kicks. The referee pulls Amber out of the corner and then Santana climbs onto the referee’s back to attack Amber. Amber pushes the referee down since Santana is still on his back. Amber with chops in the corner.
Santana with a head scissors but Amber with a clothesline and she gets a near fall. Amber kicks Santana. Amber with a full nelson. Amber with a boot to the midsection followed by a boot to the head for a near fall. Amber with a suplex attempt but Santana blocks it. Amber with an STO and she pulls Santana into the corner. Amber with a boot to the midsection and then she goes to the turnbuckles but misses an elbow drop when Santana rolls out of the way.
Santana with clotheslines followed by forearms and a head butt. Santana with an Irish whip and handspring back elbow. Santana with a fisherman’s suplex for a near fall. Santana has a super kick blocked and Amber with a backslide but Santana rolls through. Santana with a rollup for the three count.
Winner: Santana
After the match, Amber attacks the referee. Amber attacks a member of the ring crew and she hits an X Factor on him.
Match Number Nine: SHINE Championship Match: Mia Yim versus Nevaeh (with So Cal Val, Marti Belle, and Jayme Jameson)
Nevaeh has a discussion with a fan at ringside before they lock up. They lock up and Mia with a side head lock. Nevaeh with a hammer lock but Mia with a reversal. Nevaeh with a side head lock and take down. Mia with a head scissors but Nevaeh gets to the ropes.
Nevaeh wants a test of strength and Mia obliges. Nevaeh takes Mia to the mat and gets a near fall. Mia bridges and gets back to her feet. Nevaeh with a knee and side head lock. Mia with an arm drag or three into an arm bar. Mia with a kick to the leg and a chop. Mia goes to the ropes for an assisted arm drag. Mia with a head scissors that sends Nevaeh to the floor. Mia teases a dive to the floor when Nevaeh and her entourage scatter.
Nevaeh returns to the ring and she makes a comment about Mia’s recent match on television. Mia with a kick and Nevaeh kicks back. Mia with a forearm and Nevaeh fires back. Mia with a kick and Nevaeh with a forearm. Nevaeh with a clothesline for a near fall. Nevaeh with a kick to the back and she applies a sleeper.
Mia with punches and Nevaeh blocks a kick and connects with a back elbow and gets a near fall. Nevaeh sends Mia to the floor and that allows Jayme and Marti to attack Mia on the floor. Nevaeh sends Mia into the corner and follows with a snap mare and leap frog neck snap. Nevaeh with a kick to the back and then she sends Mia into the turnbuckles and choke her. Nevaeh chokes Mia again.
Marti, Val, and Jayme work over Mia while Nevaeh distracts the referee. Nevaeh stomps a mud hole into Mia in the corner. Mia with punches and knees. Nevaeh with a back elbow and she gets a near fall. Mia with punches and kicks but Nevaeh with a forearm to the back followed by a suplex for a near fall. Nevaeh returns to the reverse chin lock.
Mia with a chop but Nevaeh chops back. They go back and forth with chops. Nevaeh with a rake of the eyes followed by a chop. Mia with chops of her own in the corner. Nevaeh with a kick to the midsection followed by a kick to the upper chest. Nevaeh gets a near fall. Nevaeh with a kick to the back and she gets a near fall.
Nevaeh chokes Mia in the ropes and then she hangs Mia over the middle rope and she kicks Mia in the chest. Nevaeh gets a near fall. Nevaeh with a rear chin lock but Mia escapes a belly-to-back suplex attempt. Nevaeh counters an O’Connor Roll and Mia with a drop kick and gutwrench suplex for a near fall. Mia goes up top for a missile drop kick and gets a near fall. Mia with a boot to Nevaeh’s midsection and she sets for a package piledriver but Nevaeh escapes. Mia with a German suplex but Nevaeh fires back with one of her own. Mia with another German suplex. Mia misses a round kick and Nevaeh hits a German suplex.
Both women go for kicks and both go down. Val gets on the apron and Jameson gets Mia up for a Doctor Bomb with Marti kicking her in the back. Leva goes after Jayme and Marti.
Ivelisse comes out and tries to stop Val and Nevaeh from taking advantage of the situation. Ivelisse with an enzuigiri that the referee sees and he calls for the bell.
Winner: Nevaeh (by disqualification)
After the match, Ivelisse and Mia have some words and then Nevaeh goes after Ivelisse. Everyone starts to brawl and officials make their way to the ring to separate them.
Ivelisse goes after Mia but Lexie and Leva have to hold them back. Nevaeh joins in the scrum.
Ivelisse holds the title belt and Mia goes after Ivelisse and she takes Ivelisse to the mat with a front face lock.
Ivelisse demands her rematch and then Ivelisse with a forearm to one of the referees.
Ivelisse kicks Lexie and Mia has to hold Lexie back. Lexie tells Ivelisse to get out of the ring but Ivelisse wants her rematch.
Ivelisse is carried to the back by a member of security.
SHINE 24 will be on January 23, 2015.
Evolve will return to the Orpheum on January 9, 2015.
