In his interview with Colt Cabana’s Art Of Wrestling podcast (which frankly any fan should go out of their way to listen to, no matter how you feel about the man), CM Punk made allegations that WWE doesn’t care as much about the health of their wrestlers as the say they do. Punk said a lot about the process and WWE ringside Dr. Amann, which you can read elsewhere on the site.
About Punk’s claims, WWE issued the following statement to Yahoo Sports:
“WWE takes the health and wellness of its talent very seriously and has a comprehensive Talent Wellness Program that is led by one of the most well-respected physicians in the country, Dr. Joseph Maroon.â€
To be fair, Punk was largely referring to what he saw as the incompetence of Dr. Chris Amann, not Dr. Maroon.Â
