I know you're not a fan of recreating the past, but, similar to Tazz beating Kurt Angle in his WWE debut, how do you feel about Kevin Owens beating Rusev in his WWE debut?

I wouldn’t like it at all since I am a big fan of Rusev and I want to see him get a big push. They have something in him and I would like to see him get pushed very strongly. I don’t have a problem with Steen beating someone on his debut, just not Rusev.

Every time Seth Rollins comes to the ring the announcers mention him being Mr. Money in the Bank (which is fine because he is), but can you explain why they constantly say that he can cash that in any time/ any where for a WWE Championship match, when in reality he can’t because Lesnar is rarely on TV/PPV.

That is a great point. Since the champ is never there they really should drop the “he can cash in at any time” stuff. It comes off really badly when he can’t actually cash in because the champ is not there. WWE really needs a quality control editor for things like that.

Also speaking of Lesnar, if they wanted to really push him as being the dominant monster that can’t be stopped, what would be your thoughts on having Lesnar be a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble and winning?

It would be interesting, depending how they did it. It would stink if they had him do it so he “didn’t have to have a match” at WrestleMania. But if he did it because he wanted to wrestle someone at Mania that wasn’t in the Rumble, like say Rusev or Roman Reigns, that could be pretty cool.

One of the storylines on Total Divas was that Daniel Bryan elected to hold off surgery and attempt to recover using more natural methods.  But we now know for a fact that this approach did not work and he does need the surgery.  We know that much of the storylines on that show are staged, so my question is did he really hold off surgery, which if done sooner, could have seen him return to the ring sooner?  And is he kicking himself for doing so?

The doctors have gone back and forth on surgery a lot with Bryan. In almost any situation, surgery is the last resort. If you can heal without it, you try that first. I don’t think Bryan is kicking himself at all. I think his concern is getting healthy, however long it takes. He is a young man and a newlywed. I don’t see him rushing back if he is putting himself at risk.

I have a question about music rights.  How can a company such as the UFC use entrance music by the actual artists on all their PPV's and TV broadcasts, yet if WWE were to do the same thing, they would have to pay a ton of rights fees?  Does the UFC just bite the bullet and pay the rights fees? Or are they somehow exempt from paying them while WWE is not?

UFC is not exempt. But keep one thing in mind, if WWE gives a guy a mainstream song, they have three TV shows a week they have to pay rights on, plus worldwide broadcasts. UFC doesn’t, so it’s much cheaper for them to pay for the music on a much smaller scale.
