Ok, so I am watching RAW, nothing much keeping me interested in the show (yet again), and I was getting ready to switch it to MNF when all of a sudden, a Holy ____ moment when lo and behold the Rock appears, with our warning (even PWInsider could not confirm he was showing up on RAW). He cuts another electrifying promo on an otherwise boring show. My point is that isn’t sad, when it’s obvious there either isn’t enough talent or good story telling to grab, and hold onto our attention and it takes a once in a while appearance, of a legend to motivate us for about 12 minutes? Your thoughts on this?

There is plenty of talent. That isn’t the issue to me. It’s how the talent is used that is the problem. Rock can come in and be himself and react to the crowd. Most of the other guys can’t. They just have to read their scripted lines. WWE really should take notice of that. Well, Vince should anyway. Also, don’t discount that it was a legitmate surprise as well. The fans like when “anything can happen in WWE”.

Is it me, or did professional wrestling officially die with Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford dancing in the ring and spanking each other with wine bottles? I don't know why I watch this anymore.

No it didn’t, but that was certainly not a moment any real fan needed to see.

First off, love the site and thanks for all the questions that you've answered over the past few years. Now I've got another one. I'd like your take on my feelings toward Brock Lesnar. I'm not trying to hate on him, but I have a personal belief that he does not have a lot of respect for the wrestling business. I think it was totally foolish of Vince McMahon to have him beat the Undertaker at WrestleMania 30. I also feel, and I may be in the small minority when I say this, that Lesnar was booked to be way too dominant in his Summerslam match against Cena. With the way that match was built up, I was hoping for a more balanced fight. And now, Lesnar, the WWE champion, is not slated for Hell in a Cell. I'm not very sold on a WWE PPV without the top titleholder on it, and certainly a Hell in a Cell match would be a perfect fit for his "beast incarnate" gimmick. So what do you think about what I just said? Does he respect the business?

Yes, I think he does. He negotiated a deal, and WWE agreed to it. I don’t have a problem with that. A lot of guys in WCW worked limited dates too. It’s not often that the talent has bargaining power so I don’t blame him for using it. Keep in mind, he had a good section of his colon removed so despite the way he looks, health issues are a consideration and travel is not good for it. To me, he has done what has been asked. If his two wins end up with a hot, young talent beating him and elevating said talent, he showed the ultimate respect for the business.

Is Total Divas still a “Reality Show” or is it becoming more of a vehicle to push WWE in-ring story-lines and is scripted?

They are the same thing. There is very little “reality” in the genre of shows that Total Divas falls under.

At the end of Raw on Sept 29, with John Cena lying in the ring, the crowd loudly shouted “thank you, Rollins.”  Will Vince/Creative take notice of the chant, or will they view it as an anomaly and make no changes?

Vince hears it and dismisses it. “Any reaction is a good reaction” is his motto. Uh, not always Vince. But he knows what you want better than you do.
