World Wrestling Council (WWC)
WWC continues to build their stories that will bring en route to their “Aniversario 41” event later next month and we will discuss further later in the column. However, this Saturday they will hold their weekly house show/TV taping at the “Pepín Cestero Arena” in Bayamón, PR, with a bell time of 8:30PM. The announced card for the show is as follows:

As I mentioned earlier, they continue to work on the different storylines that will support the card they are working on for their biggest event of the year, “Aniversario 41”, which will take place on Saturday October 25th at the “Hector Solá Bezares Coliseum” in Caguas, PR. During this week’s TV show they also announced a second show for that weekend, which will be on Friday October 24th at the “Francisco ‘Paquito’ Montaner Stadium” in Ponce, PR. Both shows have a scheduled bell time of 8:00PM.

As we have noted in the last couple of weeks, they also have been working on the angle that will bring “El Patrón” Alberto (Del Rio), to take on Ray González in a reprise of the PR vs Mexico feuds from the 1990’s. However, they seem to be working on starting a short feud to keep González in the mix of things and have brought back Gilbert to work with him this weekend. They are taping Gilbert’s TV segment “La Opinión de Gilbert” this week with González as the special guest, which should serve as set up of their match later that evening. Also, Gilbert has “bought” David Montes’ contract from WWC and now he manages his career. I can only hope that they work on making Montes more relevant by giving him the proverbial “rub” by having him with Gilbert. This youngster definitely has some potential, and if worked properly, could be a player down the road. He has some experience, has a bigger built and looks good. Gilbert can help him develop more of a character and bring him to forefront. Lets see what they make of this going forward.
World Wrestling League (WWL)
The card for “WWL’s INSURRECTION” event looks strong and very interesting, which should provide for a very entertaining evening at the matches. The big plus with this card seems to be the fact that they are taking the time, week after week, to carefully build the different storylines and angles that will give way to this event. Each match has its own story and there is a reason to care for each one of the characters involved, whether in a positive or negative way. That is something that fans have been asking for and this company seems to be delivering. We’ll have to wait and see if they are able to sustain it going forward.

EWO has announced that they will hold their next big event on Saturday October 11th. The event has been titled “Halloween Rage”.
